Condo, this is a two (2 ) Bedrooms + sofa sleeper, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

We offer last minute Specials, and for stays over one week. Newly remodeled kitchen. This is a ground floor unit with garden view facing the court yard and the swimming pool on the right side of the resort, two-bedroom two-baths condominium. It is a great vacation pick for a romantic escape - or for a small family, vacation getaway.

The condominium is attractively furnished with a full kitchen, a large living room, a dining area, and a private lanai, beach bath towels are provided, linens provided, New comfortable Sofa sleeper in the living room with up-graded 6' mattress in Living room. Amenities include central air conditioning and three TVs (one in each bedroom and one in the living room with a DVD blue rays). Local phone calls are free. This is a NON-smoking condominium.

Kaanapali Shores is a beachfront resort. Guests experience a light and airy 1.5 story Lobby with several greeting areas to sit and relax. Comfortable Hawaiian decor and floral arrangements make the ambience inviting.

Resort amenities include a Poolside Restaurant with inside and outside seating, a health club, beauty salon, outdoor massage, convenience and Hawaiian gift shops, a floral shop, game room, a fitness center, an ATM, and many other resources. Concierge service is also available.

There are a variety of activities for the entire family. Spectacular sunsets create an ideal setting for celebrating a honeymoon, an anniversary, or a special occasion. On-site weddings can be arranged.

A Shopping Center can be found directly across the street. In the center are restaurant/eateries, a coffeehouse, full grocery store, and misc. stores and shops.

Whale watching season runs from December thru March. From the Kaanapali Shores beach looking northwest toward the Island of Molokai across the Pailolo channel, or looking southwest toward the island of Lanai across the Auau channel, guests can have a nice view of the Humpback whales during their spawning season.

The owners are Maui residents and available if needed during your stay.

For golf,the PGA Hyundai Classic at the Plantation Course in Kapalua is just up the road, and is in January.

We also speak Bahasa Indonesia and Melayu.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT POLICIES:

Check-in time is 4:00PM and Check-out is 11:00AM

** If your departure flight is late or a RED EYE SPECIAL, we suggest you purchase of your departure night. This may make your return flight more enjoyable.

** We do require a $500.00 Deposit for Personal Check, Cashier's Check, or Money Order payment and the full rental payment is due 60 days prior to arrival date.

Or $500.00 deposit for Master and Visa credit card payment and the balance is due 60 days (full rental payment less $500.00 deposit) prior to your arrival date.

The reservation is not confirmed until deposit or rental payment is received.

CANCELLATIONS POLICIES:

An administrative cancellation fee of $150.00 will be charged for cancellation (100% less $150.00 administration fee).

Cancellations If necessary, it is required 60 days or more prior to scheduled arrival date. If cancellations are made less than the 60 days prior to scheduled arrival or after scheduled arrival date, payments will be retained. If the unit can be re-rented, a pro-rata refund will be issued less the administration fee of $150.00.

Cancellations due to an exceptional circumstance will not be charged for such as: Tsunami, earthquake, hurricane, airport closure because of a bad weather conditions.

Hawaii State Transient and G.E. taxes of 13.42% must be included with your payment

Parking: To park inside the gated Kaanapali Shores complex, a parking fee of $9.00/day is charged at the Gate. Make arrangements at Front Desk.

We do not provide daily maid service to allow you complete freedom, privacy and secure feeling like a home away from home. The condo is rented on a do-it-yourself basis. The condo will be clean when you arrive and it will be cleaned after you leave.

Dan, Sri, and Jasmine O'Brien

Dan grew up in New Jersey, graduated from Villanova University, and retired from Hewlett Packard in Santa Rosa, Ca. Sri grew up on the island of Java in Indonesia. We met in Jakarta, where Sri was in the hotel industry. Jasmine is our daughter and is 14 years old. she is an Honors student at Seabury Hall, and very good swimmer on the Hawaiian Swimming Club (HSC). We have lived on Maui since 2004.

Why Daniel and Sri chose Maui

Ka'anapali Shores is a beachfront resort, the beach is just steps away from the unit, centrally located to anywhere in West Maui. A corner and ground floor unit is very convenient, and recently remodeled. West side is considered the Leeward sides and sunny most of he year. Average daily high temperature is in the 80's F everyday of the year.

What makes this condo unique

Beautiful beaches, most uncrowed. Weather is usually great. Restaurants and many activities.

Great place to stay, very cozy. a minute from the beach. Family oriented. my only grumble was that the wi-fi didn't have good reception in the bedrooms, but otherwise a wonderful place to stay.

Great Stay!

We had a really nice stay. It was perfect for two couples travelling together. We each had our own separate area with a bedroom and bathroom. There were plenty of towels and even pool towels so that you don't have to use the resort towels (and worry about having the towel cards). The kitchen had everything we needed and it was great having a washer/dryer in the unit! Both pools were really nice! One was larger and really close to the room and the other looked right out to the ocean. The beach wasn't very big but it was nice to have it so close and was good for a nice stroll. The only thing we didn't like was that we wanted to use the gym but would have had to pay $10/day. I was okay with paying for parking everyday but you would think the gym would be free. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again! I would try and get the same room again (Room 152)- we were very pleased with it!

Overall a nice condo

Condo was pretty nice. Close to the beach. Nice to walk to the beach for sunsets but didn't really hang out there during the day as much. Good walking distance to ABC store and the grocery store but not too many restraunts/shops near by except resorts (spendy) but there are more within driving distance. We liked walking out to the main road to a walking path that went along the beach by the other resorts with some nicer swimming areas. Only thing that annoyed us was there was construction going on right outside the condo literally in our space the whole week and we did not get notified about that until we saw machinery and construction tape right outside our door and had to walk around it and hear it everyday. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. Nice pools with lounging chairs.

Nice spot, needs some tlc.

The complex is awesome, the family pool was a huge hit for our 3 and 5 year old. Having all the green space is great too. The ocean out front isn't totally accessible. Some people did go in but it's not the best spot for that although it as an amazing spot for sunsets and there are plenty of beautiful beaches in the area.

The condo is nice and we loved being on the ground floor. It could use a bit of TLC, it needs a really good scrub down. The area by the conditioner is a mess, the door that covers it was very dirty. The shower curtains need replacing and at the least a scrub and re-caulking in the bathroom would go a long way. The smaller bed is also in the master bedroom which was a bit annoying.

The owners seemed very nice and were good to deal with. There was an issue with the screen door and they replied with their best effort quickly. I have a feeling they haven't been there themselves to give it owner attention vs. a cleaning companies attention in a while. The price is good and we spent most of our time out and about so it was all good.

Great accommodations for our needs

Thank you Dan and Sri for the wonderful stay! If you are looking for a great VALUE for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo, this condo is it. It was VERY quiet even though it was on the ground floor. We were interested in saving some money by not having an ocean view, but this condo is in a great location. You can park within 40-50 feet and take everything into your condo and not have to haul it up an elevator. This is very convenient. The patio is a garden view and the garden pool is within 100 yards. Also VERY convenient, particularly if you have younger kids. The condo is loaded with towels, spices, toilet paper, etc., including beach towels as well as some snorkel gear and a boogie board. The condo is not cleaned daily by the general condo staff unlike the others that you might book directly, but we didn't mind doing our own cleaning and it was nice to know that staff were not entering the condo anyways. The decor is a little dated - but again the value is well worth it! If we had booked directly through Kaanapali Shores, it would have cost us an extra $2000 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath (we stayed 9 nights at the beginning of spring break season/April) - so the savings was well worth it. There is no carpeting in the condo - all tile or linoleum. Both the beds were very comfortable. It was clean enough when we arrived. Our opinion is that when we go to Hawaii and the beach, we want a comfortable place to stay but we don't need luxury - considering that we are out of the condo for most of the day. So, save yourself some money and book with Dan and Sri. They were very helpful in answering questions prior to our stay.

Amazing Family Vacation in Maui

Absolutely loved our 5 days 4 nights in Maui. We stayed at Kaanapali Shores unit #152 . The hotel is conveniently located near the northern end of the Kaanapali Beach resort area. There are shops on site that have plenty of things you need, or just a 2 minute walk across the street to Times Grocery Store has it all. Many restaurants in area as well.

We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon and were warmly greeted with an Aloha! After checking in at front desk to pre-pay ($9/day) for parking, received pool towel cards and received daily resort activities we then proceeded to unit #152. The unit is conveniently located at the left (south) corner of the main building. You can park right in front or back of the unit and either way you have access to the unit. Hotel is also close to pool area and a short walk to beach. The unit was very clean with 2 bedroom, one had a king bed the other a full size as well as 2 full baths. Living area had a Queen sofa bed. Full kitchen and very convenient washer and dryer for cleaning your clothing. We never felt the need to venture out to get breakfast since we bought some items at Times Grocery right in front of Hotel. The Unit has a coffee maker as well. One day we had Breakfast at the resort restaurant, right by adults pool with ocean view. Our kids where always at the pool with water falls and Jacuzzi. The hotel all around was always clean and very family friendly.

While there visit Lahaina that is only a quick 10 minute drive, so it was super easy to go into town anytime we wanted for lunch or dinner. Please try the Burgers at Cool Cat Café, great eating there. Overall great choice...enjoy your stay, we wish we were still there!

Reedy family Christmas 2015 Maui

First wanted to say Dan & Sri are super nice people & we're always quick to respond to our emails before our trip & our needs during our trip. The condo was a great location , Kaanapali shores, ground floor property, on an end with a small patio. We stayed through Christmas with our kids and was enough room for 6 of us. Pretty much equipped with what you need for your stay. We cooked a lot in so that saved a lot of $$. The bbq' we're really far away, we were on the total opposite side. We just used the bbq's right in front , beach area, condos right next store , that was nice.

The condo was in a nice location, we walked across the street to times grocery store several times and along the street, had several little shops, scorer rental right next store too. We walked down the beach toward dukes as it was much less windy!!!

Seemed more windy at our condo, daily! Weird... Nice pools, 2 spas as well. Inside laundry was great!! Overall, we would recommend this property to others. For the price , a little high but it was a holiday so they all get you for the $$$. Be prepared. It was also a very busy time in Maui , kids out of school & people want to be warm right! We will not go over a holiday weekend again due to Maui being way to busy for people who want to relax & get away from crowds !!! However , this is our 3 red trip to Maui , we love it. We are already planning next dec.2016 but will try staying more south & not during Christmas !!!
