Just 100 steps from the beach, our upgraded Cranberry Cottage is the perfect venue for your next St. Augustine vacation. Our 2 bedroom house offers several decks and balconies, a plunging pool, lovely landscaping, and beautiful furnishings.
Cranberry Cottage brings you all the comforts of a home in a wonderful location. Both floors of the house boast wooden decks, with space to grill out, dine, lounge, and glimpse the blue Atlantic just yards away. Enjoy a fully fenced back yard...filled with tropical plants and a lawn for playing. It's the ideal outdoor living spot, with a big 9-sided pool for cooling off, a great mix of sun and shade, zesty salt breezes from the beach, and balmy temperatures year-round.
Come into the royally furnished 1st floor of Cranberry Cottage and you are enveloped in a warm, friendly living room, with a fireplace, overstuffed easy chairs, several comfy couches, and a TV with cable. There's space for the whole group to gather here, with sunshine spilling in from numerous windows and soft carpeting for those tired "beach feet."
Just beyond the living room are the kitchen and dining areas. You'll find the gourmet kitchen at Cranberry Cottage as well-equipped as your own at home: cookware, dishes, glasses, utensils, gadgets and gizmos fill the cabinets, and the sleek, full-sized appliances stand ready to help you prepare and serve a feast. At one end is a tiled breakfast bar, set with stools so that you always have company in the kitchen!
The dining table sits beside the breakfast bar, set for 6. This sturdy table is the command center of Cranberry Cottage, converting itself between meals into a game table, puzzle center, and work space. (You have free WiFi here, so bring your laptop!) You'll love getting the whole group together after a busy day in the Old City and discussing your adventures over a bottle of wine and a leisurely game of cards!
There is one bedroom on the ground floor, as well as a full bath. Perfect for early risers who like to get the coffeepot perking and witness the spectacular sunrise over the ocean, the downstairs bedroom offers a queen-sized bed, private TV, and big windows overlooking the garden.
Travel upstairs and you find the master suite. The master suite is large, airy, and so comfortable, with a queen-sized bed and access to the beautiful upstairs deck with casual seating. In the master suite you have a private TV as well as your own bath with a separate sink & vanity. There is also a bonus room with as well as a deluxe day bed that transforms into a king size bed.
Spacious and inviting, the master suite is a pleasure you will look forward to every evening, and a great place to linger late in the morning, undisturbed by any activity downstairs. Send the kids down to watch cartoons (it's vacation, after all!) and enjoy another hour or two of sleep, or slip out to the deck with a cup of coffee and your smartphone to update your social media.
Cranberry Cottage also has all the extras that make your vacation easier. You can park off-street in the garage or the driveway. Feel free to use the washer and dryer here, and don't worry about bringing extra pillows: we provide all linens and towels for every bed and bath. There's even an outdoor shower so you can rinse off the sand before you come indoors.
Best of all, Cranberry Cottage has a delightful 9-sided plunging pool just made for fun! When the kids seek quieter waters after the excitement of the waves at the beach, bring a pitcher of cold drinks out to the pool and indulge in long, raucous games of Sharks and Minnows in your own backyard! For those who would rather sunbathe than splash, the adjacent deck has plenty of space. And when the tummy begins to rumble, just call delivery and enjoy a delicious al fresco dinner under the warm evening sky! This is what vacations are made of.
At Cranberry Cottage, you're just a short drive from the Old City. Best of all, the wide, unspoiled beach (no cars) is steps away.

Please call if you need help booking your dream vacation!
Wonderful vacation with great location and property. The experience was let down by the hidden costs only discovered when booking. We spent many hours looking at properties to rent, finally setting our hearts on this one. When we called to book the cost went up by over $500. None of these extras where visible to us on the web page.
kitchen pretty sparse, had to buy several things we'd normally expect in a rental, no cutting board, poor quality cookware, little slow on request for repairs but ok, had to request junk to be removed from property, at least 7 broken/rusty beach chairs scattered around, broken umbrella and plastic table, not a good impression, also not what we'd normally expect, suggest you include that in your routine prep
We so enjoyed the week we spent here in October 2011. The only complaint we had was that someone needed to cut the seagrass away from the steps going to the beach. Too easy to get your feet caught and fall. Otherwise; we had no complaints. The condo was extremely clean and a wonderful place to spend a week away. We took our 3 dogs and they also had a fabulous time.
There were a couple of maintenance problems Air was broken but they were able to fix it for the Days we were there. Then we had to call concerning the garage door it would not stay down. Maintenance came and out it back on track Please add a blender
Our vacation was great and so was the condo. A few things you might want to pass on to the owners for minor repair.
1. Both remotes for the TV/cable box are not working 100%. The switch at the top to toggle from TV, AV1, AV2 don't seem to work. We could not find any remotes for the DVD player.
2. The garage door closest to the condo entrance needs to have the limits adjusted. We had to open/close the door several times before it would remain shut.
3. One of the sprinkler heads which watered the AC broke. We noticed it after seeing the puddles of water in front of the condo and don't know how long it ran before we shut it off. This will probably add to the water bill. I did shut of the sprinkler system.
Further, we could not get the north door to the garage to close and after several attmepts called the property management. They guided us through the fuse box investigation and this was all during the first 30 minutes of our arrival. also the old vertical blinds in the bedrooms did not work, multiple bulbs burnt out at the property and as promised in the contract, there was no bar soap, dishwashing detergent for 1 load or enough laundry detergent to complete the 2 required loads per the contract. We were disappointed that the porch light was never replaced with a working bulb during our stay.
