About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

EMAIL is best I am frequently out of the country emails will be responded to MUCH faster than phone calls. 2 bedroom 2 bath totally renovated and professionally decorated with Tommy Bahama furnishings. Custom granite in both the kitchen and the bathrooms not your typical home depot 'stuff' custom wood cabinets in kitchens and baths. Brand new everything as of 1/2012. Brand new mattresses, duvets, furniture, flat screen TV's and more. All brand new kitchen supplies was never reneted until February since it was renovated.

Glass doors on the showers. I hate shower curtains I find them to be unsanitary.

We provide the owner locker storage area key so that you have access to beach chairs, unbrellas, cooler and beach toys. I do not guarantee the umbrellas any longer due to breakage and mishandling of them by the guests. This is on the first floor so that you do not have to carry all the beach stuff up and to the unit every day. This is very convenient.

Pool chairs are provided at the heated pool and also the grill has the gas hooked up and provided. There is access to 3 pools since I own in each one of the associations at South Seas beach villas.

screened balcony facing the pool and the ocean. You have access three pools. 4 tenis courts ($15 per day per adult), and a BBQ grill area. There is a nice walkway to the beach that has a foot cleaning station. Pay washer and Dryers on the first floor. This building has an elevator unlike some of the units that are rented that are on the beach.

Great time in Captiva!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay in this awesome condo. The listing description is very accurate, and the property was well stocked for fixing meals, etc. My husband loves good TV when relaxing even on vacation, and the TV in both family room and master bedroom were great. The beautiful beach was truly steps away and the kids LOVED the shelling on this beach. They even hit the pool which was also very close. There is an elevator available for this second floor property which is a blessing for carrying up luggage and groceries. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and responding timely. There were fun restaurants nearby and the South Seas resort was great for taking walks. A great feature of this condo was the availability of the owners beach items…i.e. sand toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. There is no way we could have brought all those items, and it looked like the resort charged for the use of chairs, etc. We had a great time and will certainly return to Captiva!

Beautiful Condo

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our week stay at Captiva with our 2 Grandsons.

My husband and I vacation quite a bit and this was on the top of places we have rented. Kim has everything you need in this beautiful condo plus some.I normally dread sleeping in a "vacation" bed but I wish I could have brought this one home. I highly recommend a stay here and I will definitely rent from Kim again when we return back to the island.

Owner's Response: Many people comment on the beds they are tempur pedic and very nice I agree. I do like to make sure I have nice bedding in all my units I own.

Awesome place to stay with a perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

We have been vacationing on Captiva for several years now. This was our best stay. The condo is perfect and within walking distance of everything we enjoy doing there. The unit was reasonably priced and well stocked with more than we needed. The beds were excellent and TVs and DVDs in every room. Walking the path to the beach that was so close that we came and went all day long. I would highly recommend staying here over booking with South Seas Resort, which we have done the past few times. We will be back. Thanks Kim!

Awesome Stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

What a great place for a long weekend getaway. It was our first time to stay in Captiva and South Seas. While it rained on the first day we made our way out to Doc Fords. Recommend the Yucatan Shrimp and a flight of rum. Service was very good, atmosphere very lively. I did not find the restaurant expensive for our taste, $ 100 for two of us but we have 2 entrees and 2 appetizers along with wine & rum.

We rented a golf cart - super reasonable rates at Yolo. I recommend a golf cart versus driving around the immediate area.

The condo! It really was like staying at someone's second or third home. Truly all the furnishings you need and more. Kitchen is loaded with plenty of what you need to cook - if you plan to cook big batches, bring your biggest pot. EVERYTHING was in working order, which sometimes is a rare find when you rent vacation homes. Towels were not cheap, the Tommy Bahama touches and furniture everywhere give this condo a very "beachy, yet homey" feel. You can tell the owners want you to experience the beach they way they like to experience the beach.

The Beach - certainly within walking distance, nice trail (boardwalk really) to the dunes, pool right next to the condo. The beach is not crowded at all. What is pretty cool to me is you can see the South Seas hotel types to the south but you can set up just to the north and not be right next to someone - very relaxing and just what we needed.

Beach Chairs are provided, as well as beach towels, several umbrellas, toys for the kids and an ice chest. We used the chairs but brought our own other things. Washer/dryer are on ground floor - didn't use, but there for use. Trash bin located on each floor for convenience.

There is shampoo's, soaps, dispenser of things in shower if you want, shower has glass doors versus nasty shower curtains, many things in the cabinents that are convenient down to a blow dryer in one of the bathrooms I saw. There is a nice starter kit of TP, Paper towels, trashbag, dishwasher soap, dish soap.

Groceries and Liquor/beer - get on mainland unless you want to pay island prices. Bottle of Tito's $ 49! I would recommend Bailey's for some unique grocery items though - they have an awesome bakery and unique items to make your stay at the beach great!

Last thing - Suite at the Ritz-Carlton Naples, $ 999 a night.... you do the math!

We will definitely be back to this rental. Kim knows how to host her guests!

Spring Break 2016

  • 5 of 5

This condo is awesome. We are family of 4, with 13 and 17 yr old kids. And we all agreed one of the best VRBO properties we have booked. You can seriously walk to everything on Captiva and loved the views from the screened in porch. Doc Fords, Starbucks, shopping all less than 5 minutes and Andy Rosse Lane/Mucky Duck 10 min walk. The condo itself is well stocked with kitchen items. Bring ground coffee and round filters! You may also want to bring plastic insulated cups for beach use. Bring splenda, lemonade singles, any spices you may want, or anything besides salt and pepper. There are 6 beach towels and chairs in the locker. Kim, we left you 2 boogie boards and a metal shelling sifter for future guests!! The condo was very nicely decorated and had great linens (I refer to myself as a sheet snob) that felt like very good egyptian cotton ones, and the bath towels were also nice, thick and soft. Overall, the condo was excellent! The only thing we didn't enjoy were the mattresses. I know they are expensive so this is a personal preference, however I am not a fan of tempur pedic mattresses. I am also not a fan of any pillow top mattress. They may be good for back sleepers, but not very comfortable for side and stomach sleepers. That being said, I would def return as this was a top notch condo. The best key lime pie is at Key Lime Bistro. Doc Fords is awesome for both service and food. Only restaurant we were disappointed in was Mucky Duck. Service was poor and our food was less than average. Go watch the sunset there cuz it is fun when the people cheer, but skip their food and order a pizza to go from the pizza place, Captiva Pizza I think was the name. We are from Chicago and it was decent "za" for Florida. Also, you are much better off renting from Kim than the resort. You wouldn't want to use the resort beach chairs because you are limited to a small area of the beach where they are set up, and you are prohibited from moving them!! I like to rotate with the sun, and you're literally unable to do so with the south seas beach chairs!! Oh, almost forgot, Kim has a blender there so stock up on fresh fruit before you arrive and some yogurt and you will have fresh smoothies every day!!

Great Condo in wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

We rented from Kim for a mid-December Captiva trip and found the unit very clean and wonderfully decorated. Kitchen is fully stocked with needed utensils and appliances....all very clean. Kim was very quick to respond and provided detailed and helpful info about the condo amenities and surrounding area and restaurants.

Location was perfect....on the gulf beach...we loved the sunsets.

Kim's condo will be our first choice when we return.
