Fabulous Cottage & Location
The cottage exceeded our expectations! The swing overlooking the lake, the kayaks, the paddle boat and row boat, the roomy cottage with all the necessities, the stocked kitchen, the multiple decks and fire pits all made for a wonderful stay. The cottage was clean and the owners were friendly and gracious. Nicely located between Pentwater and Ludington, we visited both state beaches several times. We had a fabulous and comfortable week. Highly recommend!
Start of summer
Second year in a row we have spent a lovey week here. Owners are very attentive and amenities are great!! Great fishing and swimming right off the dock!
Family get away!
We had a great time! Cottage was nice and location was great. Fishing off the dock was great!
The house is located on a beautiful lake with its own private beach. The house itself is very small but cute. The decour of the house is very outdated, but that is typical of lake houses I suppose. The beds are very hard. In the room my daughter and son-in-law stayed in the springs could be felt through the mattress. The neighbors are a bit noisy and their property looks like a well kept junk yard, which detracts from the charm of the area. Sunsets on the lake were beautiful.
We had access to the owner’s pontoon boat, kayak, and paddle boat. The pontoon boat takes some feness to get going but once it’s going it’s easy to drive. The paddle boat, on the other hand, was a nightmare. Apparently there was a hole in the top of the paddle boat that was fixed with tape. Prior to our arrival it rained a lot so water got into the hole and into one of the pontoons of the paddle boat. When my daughter, son-in-law, and their dog took the paddle boat for a spin, they got 500 yards out from shore before they started listing to the right and taking on water. My daughter was thrown from the boat, my son-in-law couldn’t move from the left side in order to keep the boat balanced, and my daughter had to push them to shore. When we told the owner about this, he shrugged it off as a joke and then said “I forgot to tell you about the drain plugs on the pontoon.”
The owner is a very nice man. He doesn’t give the best directions and often forgets to tell you important things.
Overall it was a nice trip.
