Playa Langosta Condo Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

Our beautiful condo at La Esquina is on the first floor by a sprawling banyan tree and the pool. The condo is professionally furnished and detailed, richly finished in granite, stone and teak. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and serving. There is a large gas BBQ in the kitchen atrium. Linens, towels, and maid service are provided. This is a premium condo located in the best part of Tamarindo, Playa Langosta.

We are just a short minute walk to the beach down a tree lined park path. Our beach opens to tide pools with mild surf. A five minute walk to the south brings you to the estuary where the big waves break. Five minutes by car and you are at the beginner surfers beach at Playa Tamarindo.

The Playa Langosta Beach area is the southern part of Tamarindo. It's pretty quiet in Langosta but close enough to Tamarindo beach to be convenient.

About Stay in Tamarindo

We are from So. California and have two kids. Someday soon we will retire to Costa Rica.

Why Stay in Tamarindo chose Guanacaste

We love Tamarindo and Costa Rica because of its beauty, the people, and the natural state of the country.

What makes this condo unique

Just off our patio is a beautiful old Banyan Tree. The builders of our complex went to great lengths to save this treasure. We are so glad they did. It is home to two iguanas, birds, squirrels, frogs. and a variety of visitor each day. Relax on the patio and you will entertained by this fascinating mini ecosystem. The iguanas will be waiting for some left over fruit.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Sorry for the late reply. All was great in CR. We started with our tour with Caravan Tours which was excellent. Tortegurera was the highlight. We had to travel 1 hr. 45 min. by boat to get to the lodge and was very enjoyable. We also went up to Los Chilies which is right close to the Nicaragua boarder. Arenal and Los Poas was also nice but cloudy in Arenal. We left the tour at the Marriott which is just 20 minutes from your condo. The shuttle driver actually took us to Tamirando, stopped for groceries, picked up keys and took us to your condo. So that was worth a giant tip. Very hassle free. Enjoyed your condo very much. Found the walk into town very hot but would stop off and have refreshments on the way. We loved being at the beach at watching the tide come in and watching people stranded as they couldn't cross the water. We also went up to Playa Conchos by cab just for a change. After Tamirando we went to Manuel Antonio which took most of the day but very enjoyable. Stopped and watched the alligators under the bridge near Jaco and went into Jaco for a bit. The Parador Hotel was very nice with a beautiful secluded beach close by. Enjoyed Manuel Antonio Park and the swimming was wonderful with the water calm and sooo warm. All in all we saw alot of CR. Two nights in San Jose was enough since they didn;t recommend leaving the hotel after dark. I don't think we will be returning to CR since we have been there twice and there is so many places to see. I must say all the people we met were wonderful and the locals are very nice people who we felt we could trust. I am so glad we had you as a contact and wish you well. We may get back to Florida soon since it is such a nice state to visit and get away from the cold. Take care, Cheers,

Florence and Norm

Owner's Response: Rany, this review is very unfair. You had attempted to book another more affordable condo but it was unavailable and we upgraded you to La Esquina which is a much nicer and more expensive condo, and gave you the same rate because we wanted to accommodate you. The internet went down on your building or street, as so often happens here in Costa Rica, and we did the best we could by delivering you a portable 3G device to the condo later that same day so you could have internet access. Given that the reason for the internet failing was out of anyone's control and we still quickly solved this we don't think the negative review is fair. As per the parking, the security guard has instructions to allow one vehicle per condo when the resort is full. You wanted to park your car and your two quads, which meant taking someone else's spot. He proposed to you to park the two quads inside and the car next to the gate so he could keep an eye on it, he did the best he could. Also, the other condo you had booked for only had street side parking, so you wouldn't even have had the option of parking inside. Finally, there were no "hidden" taxes / insurance charges whatsoever, you booked through Homeaway were these items are mentioned in the Terms & Conditions and you were also sent a contract and invoice were all these charges are shown. You also decided to extend your stay for 4 more nights and we kindly let you have the same cheaper rate. You were offered a lot more than you paid for and we took care of you, and we think people reading this will see that.

Reviewer Comments:

Everything is very good except the fact that the place is too dusty for me because is surrounded by unpaved dusty road .So you have dust all over the propriety .You can't sit outside even open the patio door . At the end of the day you can see the soil accumulated on the bottom of the swimming pool.

Owner's Response: Hi Hoang! Thank you for your comments! Being one of the driest areas in Costa Rica, we do have a lot of dust during summer time in Guanacaste, and true, a lot of roads aren't paved, but we consider that part of the experience of being out of the city and surrounded by nature..! Thank you again for staying with us!

Reviewer Comments:

Our group rented out 4 of the condos at La Esquina for guests at a wedding and took a shuttle from the airport that was booked by the bride. I was the only member of our group that spoke Spanish. When we arrived, we realized the locations to pick up unit keys were all spread out! The condos at La Esquina are rented by 4 different rental companies, all in different locations. For our unit #1, the pick-up spot was 10-15 minutes away by shuttle from La Esquina, easily a 30 minute walk! If not for our shuttle driver and my Spanish, our group would’ve been really screwed. It turns out the “key” was actually a 4 digit code that the rental person could’ve given us over the phone to avoid all that mess and cost of driving back. I was furious! So if you plan to stay in unit #1 here, tell your shuttle driver you need to make a quick stop on the way at the rental property in Tamarindo to pick up your key code BEFORE you arrive at La Esquina, which is in Langosta Beach. Besides the key issue, the property is gorgeous, the security guards were nice as can be, the condos were well-equipped and comfortable, and we would happily stay here again. The pool out back is really exquisite, and we loved the great Banyan tree and the friendly iguana living in it. The key code turned out to be very convenient so that members of our group could come and go as pleased.

Casa Bella Tara: Outstanding vacation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this lovely condo during the first week of March and had a wonderful time. The condo was well equipped and we didn't miss anything. You don't even have to bring your beach towels. This place has all you need for a relaxing time; super short distance to a small grocery, a piscina big enough for it's purpose when you are too lazy for the 5 minutes walk to the beach.

The beach is amazing, perhaps especially for the surfers. But the lagoon connected to the sea has no waves and has shelters for the sun, if needed.

Also the condo is located close to the town of Tamarindo ( about 15 min walk) and you don't need a car to get around, which was perfect for us.

The sun set at the top deck must be experienced, while listening to the monkeys from the neighborhood. And while talking about animals, we can't forget the iguanas coming visiting every morning to get breakfast. They love bananas!! What an exotic holiday. We hope to be back and we can strongly recommend Casa Bella Tara, at La Esquina.

Casa Bella Tara: a quiet, magical & luxurious paradise!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and our two daughters stayed here in August & simply had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the beautiful setting, the gorgeous kitchen & lovely condo décor, and most especially the pool, terrace and banyon tree with super iguana neighbors, who we still miss! The beach you walk to is amazing, and Tamarindo is just a fantastic town with amazing expanses of beach, sunset cruise boats, shopping and fabulous restaurants. And I just can't say enough about the pleasure and ease of working with Jerry and Joan. We have so much gratitude and are very pleased to recommend this as your family retreat, or romantic getaway; you will not be disappointed with Casa Bella Tara at beautiful La Esquina. We hope to return some day! PURA VIDA!!!

We hope you will visit Costa Rica again and keep us in mind. Warmest Regards, Pura Vida Joan and Jerry
