1BR-1BA recently renovated condo in an exceptionally quiet, corner location. There are new linens, a Vera Wang-Serta king mattress set in the BR, and a large walk-in closet. In the LR, there is a Serta wrap around couch that can sleep extra guests as well as a new love seat sofa bed. The full sized kitchen is completely stocked with small appliances, dishes and cookware. High speed internet, cable, with flat screen TVs in LR & BR. Relaxing porch with ceiling fan overlooking lawn and wooded, natural landscape--home to numerous birds.
This condo is located next to the tennis courts, pool with the wading area, and within close walking distance to the 2nd laundry facility.
General property amenities for guests in the well maintained Ocean Walk complex include a Clubhouse with a fitness center, business center (with PC's, wi-fi, fax and printer), ping pong table, and laundry facility with washers and dryers (bring your own supplies). The 2nd laundry facility includes wi-fi and is located off the parking lot of P building and around the corner from the 2nd pool with wading area. There are also tennis courts, 2 pools (a large heated pool plus another pool with a baby-wading area--both with open wi-fi), basketball goals, and a pond stocked with fish. You have your choice of gas or charcoal grills located around the facility, including pool areas ( condo includes grilling tools).
There are numerous restaurants within walking or biking distance to the village, as well as scattered abundantly throughout the island. Biking around the pier and village area, stopping to enjoy drinks or watching the sunset are a few of the many ways to reconnect or enjoy moments of solitude.
It is centrally located to the village, pier, kayaking, fishing, biking, swimming, shell hunting and many other local activities. A brief drive will take you to Jekyll Island; Driftwood Beach, biking trails and the Sea Turtle Center.

Saint Simons has always been our retreat, our haven, and a place to regroup and reconnect from our hectic schedules. We have recently retired and purchased a permanent home on Saint Simons Island and love visits from our kids, grand kids, and friends. We welcome you, our special guests, to our hideaway-getaway. Why Ginny Hall chose Demere Park
Saint Simons Island has had a magical draw since our first visit 30 years ago. We try to get to East Beach with our Starbucks coffee in time to watch the dogs and their owners play as we all watch the sunrise. We can walk to the village or ride bikes to just about any spot on the island. Kayaking through the marsh is a unique and challenging experience--watch the tidal charts! There are exceptional restaurants to enjoy and we feel like we are on vacation every day. We can hardly stand leaving the island to drive over the causeway--unless it's to drive around the corner to play on Jekyll. My family loves biking the trails, exploring or photographing Driftwood Beach, or lounging on rocking chairs at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel overlooking the river. We are members of the Sea Turtle Center--a must to visit. Saint Simons Island is a unique coastal community, not just a tourist spot. That's part of what draws one in--that feeling of connection.

Ocean Walk condos are exceptionally well maintained and a short walk to the village, ocean and pier area. The property has great amenities and is a quiet place for adults and a safe place for kids, with many things to do. Although we have very high speed internet in the condo, the business center has a great facility for guests to use as well. (Please see the property description for details.)

Great place, Great hosts
Very nice kept-up condo with a hands-on approach by the owners. The balcony is in the process of being refurbished and the area is very quiet. One of the best amenities is that the complex is close to the village with restaurants & shopping and, with limited parking in the village, it is certainly in walking distance.
This is my second year in the unit & I plan on going back next winter.
Affordable, well appointed and great location
This is a great rental - it had everything we needed for a 5 day stay with a 4 month old. Ginny was super-accessible and graciously offered us a late check-out to allow us a little extra time to get out the door with an infant. The condo itself is small and relatively basic, but for an affordable, comfortable place on the island, it has everything you would need. We loved the super comfortable living room sectional to lounge with our baby, and she loved hanging out on the deck looking at the pines! Its located at the rear of the condo complex, and is quiet and tucked away. The complex itself is located a 15 minute walk from the village and the beach, and is very convenient. We'll likely stay here again when we come back to the island! Just a note that this condo is located on the 2nd floor, so you do need to go up a flight of stairs to get to the condo.
We are so glad you had a great time visiting your family on the island and hope to see you back soon! Our kids love spreading out with their young children at the condo; going to the beach and playing on the awesome playground on Mallery St. on the way to the village.
Ocean Walk Condominiums are 2 story buildings. Our unit is on the second floor, which is listed on the property's amenities. There are advantages to both a first or second story unit. We purchased our unit because it is out of the way and quiet--no footsteps walking over our heads and it feels like you are in a tree house! But for folks with limited mobility, 1st floor units might be more convenient.
The buildings are in the process of new roof renovations. The 2nd story units will have roofs built over the decks and we plan to enclose ours into a screened-in porch with a ceiling fan.
Holidays at the beach can be very special. Thanks again for staying with us!

We really enjoyed our stay. SSI is a great spot to vacation. Lots of relaxing on the beach. Lots of fantastic restaurants. This apartment is really well located. Easy to get out & about.

Felt like home!
My family booked the condo for a last minute trip to St. Simons. I was surprised Ginny had an opening, but it worked out well for us! We spent 3 days exploring the island and visiting Jekyll. It was a wonderful trip. The condo was perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed the pools and quiet evenings. It truly felt like a home away from home. We can't wait to come back and visit.
