I rented the apartment back in May when I knew we were coming out for the Ride the Waters Bike fest in October. We were so close to everything: the Island Restaurant, and the start/finish line. Dan met us in the late afternoon, as we snuck in, got the keys and then headed north to explore, before unloading all our gear. Next morning, we met Judy and Bob, who were so great in helping us store our bikes overnight in the kitchen of the art gallery. I slept great, well appointed kitchen and good shower/bath combo. The unit was a bit too big for us, but, we loved it and hope to return next year, hopefully, bringing more cycling friends along for the journey!
We had a delightful stay at the Artist Apartment in Wachapreague. The apartment was just as described and the hosts couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! i would defenately recommend it.
Me, my mother, sister and our 3 kids spent 2 nights at this lovely apartment when we were in the area for the Pony Swim in Chincoteague. It is in a great location - in the middle of quaint Wachapreague - and fit all of us comfortably. We were very happy we found a place that could fit all 6 of us and was cheaper than getting 2 rooms at a hotel. The apartment is bright, clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for a nice stay. The only semi-negative would be that it is cooled by 3 window AC units (1 in the living room, 1 in each bedroom), which had a little trouble keeping up with the extreme heat during the day in the living area(super hot days outside), but at night we were plenty comfortable in the bedrooms. Overall, this is a great apartment, in a really cute/quaint location and I wish we would have had more time to spend in the area. I will definitely consider returning on future vacations in the area - such a cute apartment in the "Little City by the Sea". Thanks Bob! We really enjoyed it!!
My sister and I enjoyed every second of our weekend stay at the Artist Apartment. The apartment is so spacious and comfortable I would be happy leaving my house in Northern Virginia and living there. The town and views in Wachapreague brought us such a sense of calm - absolutely beautiful. And we were both struck by how NICE everyone was! Can't wait to go back and show Wachapreague and the apartment to my husband. Wouldn't change a thing!
THE place to stay when visiting Wachapreague. This 2 bedroom apartment was the most comfortable accommodations we've ever had. The beds provided a better night's sleep than our beds at home. The furniture in the cozy den was amazing. The deep leather sofa, the L. L. Bean leather chair, and the oversized chair were a welcoming retreat after a long day of exploring the Eastern Shore. It seems like we couldn't sit without letting out a satisfactory moan. The updated kitchen had everything we needed.
The perfectly located apartment allowed us to walk everywhere we wanted to go.
Everything was in working order and the apartment was clean and well maintained. We will definitely return.
This apartment in the "Flounder Capital of the World" was just the place I needed to be for labor day weekend. A stones throw away from the Island House and marina, we were right in the middle of the action all weekend long. The park across the street was also fun for the kids to play ball in, while still within eyesight. I would highly suggest this rental over any others in town. Top notch!
