About Lisa Gilley
I was born in Alexandria, Virginia and grew up in Fairfax County. I am a graduate of Thomas Edison High School on Franconia Road. My family brought my brother and me to Ocean City and Rehoboth when we were children. I learned to love the Delmarva beaches and have many happy memories of spending time there with friends and family members. I purchased 1 Assawoman Avenue Beach House in November 2011 after selling a townhouse that I owned in Manassas, VA. One Assawoman Avenue Beach House was a year-round rental until Summer 2015 when I converted it to a vacation rental (which took a lot of hard work and help from good friends and family). I'm excited to finally be able to use the cozy little house on the quiet cul-de-sac and to share it with you. I hope you, as my guest, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as much as I do!

Why Lisa Gilley chose Ocean View
I like owning the last house at the end of a cul-de-sac. It's a comfortable house that is just the perfect size for me to maintain and enjoy, not too large or too small. I also like having single floor living without having to navigate stairs. Woodland Park is a nice neighborhood. My neighbors care about their properties and will surely wave to you as you drive down the peaceful streets to head toward the beaches or to one of the nice restaurants for dinner.
What makes this House unique
Peaceful, clean, safe, comfortable, with keyless entry, centrally located, affordable. The back yard has a private feeling and is large enough for a firepit or for a game of corn hole toss or for tossing a Frisbee. The owner will be working to continuously improve the property over time. Keep checking back to see what improvements have been added!

This house is great for little kids to stay. It has enough yard to let them go outside to play.
Overall this house was great for staying with children. The owner was very nice and the house was very welcoming.
Really nice beach house only a few minutes from the beach.
House was very clean and very well kept. It has all the amenities that someone needs for a wonderful family vacation.
Home away from home
We enjoyed our stay as always. My only suggestion is room darkening curtains. At the crack of dawn, it's super bright and hard to sleep in. I know some people want to be up early but others like to sleep in a little later. Other than that suggestion, the house is very nice, clean, warm, and cozy!
Thanks for the suggestion! I will look into room darkening curtains. I'm one of those early risers, so never noticed.
Very clean, the beds were wonderful, we enjoyed the bikes, boggie boards and games!
We had a great stay! This is such a quaint cottage with everything you need to have fun. We were pleasantly surprised to see all the details from great art to the novelty beach items! We will be staying here again! Great location to rest after a day on the beach!
Great house, in a great location. We really enjoyed the easy access to the beaches, and quiet retreat once we came back home. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
This is a lovely home in a quiet neighborhood with so many extras. Bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, boogie boards, DVD's, books for all ages, comfy beds, clean linens and a wonderful open layout. Kitchen was well stocked and the outdoor shower came in quite handy with 4 adults and 4 kids! Lisa, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. We drove down only to arrive in time for pouring rain with no place to go. She did her best to let us get into the house a little earlier. Our stay was too short to use the fire pit or grill but, we hope to make a return visit in the future. Thanks you for sharing this lovely house. I would also add that if you have a family, Fenwick Island State Park is a great family friendly beach to use.
Centrally located for easy access to five beaches and several bays. Biking to the beach is an option. Convenient shopping center with a Super Giant and Starbuck inside within a five minute drive.
