Our two bedroom oceanfront condo at the luxurious Maisons Sur Mer is perfect for a memorable Grand Strand getaway. Inside our unit (302, third floor) you will enjoy a king bed in the master bedroom and two doubles in the guest bedroom. Our condo features multiple TVs with cable, complimentary WiFi, a fully-equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. A fantastic view of the gorgeous shoreline is waiting on your private balcony. Our condo features comfortable and contemporary decoration that will satisfy your guests and provide you with splendid accommodations during your getaway!
Throughout the complex a vast array of amenities is sure to impress, including a driving net and putting green, tennis courts, gas grills, oceanfront cocktail lounge, restaurant, Olympic-size swimming pool and a fully-furnished gym and fitness area. Maison Sur Mer also features covered parking and 24-hour security on-site. WiFi access is also available in the lobby area.

Awesome place with awesome view...condo is right on the beach...perfect 2 bedroom, each bedroom with private bathroom...you can't beat that price for ocean view.
It was good we really enjoyed our stay just wasnt long enough.
The property was in good shape. It was most importantly clean. The condo we stayed in needed a few minor repairs but thats it. The building was in very good shape for its age. I know because im the director of maintenance of a building a few years newer than this one. My hats off for the property owner and maintenance crew, especially for a building this size. Im in charge of a 50k sq. Ft building and its a full time job. This one i estimate at 275k sq. Ft. And its in great shape.
An unloved apartment in a great building
Maison Sur Mer is a wonderfully kept up high rise apartment building in an excellent location (Arcadian Shores at the north end of Myrtle Beach). It is quiet, right on the beach, has a small pool, tennis courts, and nearby restaurants and grocery stores. The apartments contain 2 large bedrooms, a full kitchen with nook, and a good sized living room and dining room. Each apartment has several balconies looking at the ocean -- great places for morning coffee and a drink before dinner.
Most of the apartments are privately owned with the owner spending a lot of time living in the apartment. Unfortunately, this is not the case with 302, which is owned by a rental company. They have allowed the apartment to deteriorate. To be fair, we stayed 3 nights, and enjoyed ourselves, so none of the problems are fatal. However, here is a partial list of shortcomings:
-- Master bedroom king size bed mattress is old, soft and needs to be replaced
-- Handle on door to balcony in master bedroom is falling off
-- Master bathroom tub is full of mold -- truly unacceptable, and light over tub is burned out
-- Master bathroom toilet seat extremely loose (no screwdriver or wrench available to fix it)
-- TV throughout apartment, including flat screen in living room, is not HD, and there are no premium channels
-- Second bathroom toilet seat is broken and un-useable
-- Dryer, while functional, makes an extremely loud racket as if bearings are about to go
-- All drains are very slow to empty
-- While none of the décor really suits our taste (which is unimportant), both bathrooms have very dark wallpaper, which along with the paint is peeling off, and makes the bathrooms very dark.
-- WiFi (included for free) is DSL, and is too slow for streaming.
All of the above could be easily corrected, and if done so, this could be a 5 star property

The condo was even better than advertised. Large rooms with great balconies. Great amenities.

We were only given one key for 4 people to enter the building and from the beach. While at the pool, we had to watch the beach to let our family into the pool. This was so annoying. We should have been given at least 2 keys. Also, the king size bed was so uncomfortable, the mattress needs to be replaced! The vents on the ceiling are dirty. The bulb was out in the master bath, the other shower had mold in it and the paint is peeling on the ceiling, also the toilet seat needs to be replaced! When we called the company that handles the rental about the lack of keys, we were on hold for a very long time and the lady was dismissive saying the owner would have to pay $100 for extra keys -- not our problem!
Thanks for your review. I apologize about the building key issue. These are distributed by the property management of the building and duplication on our end is prohibited, but we will be trying to get more of these for the convenience of our future guests. Also, while I do have notes in your reservation about the key issue, I don't see any comments that we're made about your other issues. Needless to say, we'd rather those have not been concerns at all, but we always are happy to have housekeepers and/or maintenance sent out to address any problems that there may be with our property. Regardless, I hope that the vacation was still enjoyable and that we might have the opportunity to provide you with a five-star experience in the future that every traveler deserves.
