This place is incredible. My wife and I need a place to rekindle our love and this place was perfect. The small cabin is beautiful and has everything we needed. Heck I want one for my self, lol. Located on a dead end street, provided privacy and not a lot of highway noise. We enjoyed out two night stay and are looking forward to returning soon. This price is very reasonable, most hotel/motel charge more than $100 per night, sure there is no continental breakfast, but how cares, they suck most of the time anyway. We enjoyed breakfast at IHOP and went out on the town for dinner, and came back to this cute little cabin, freaking awesome. WOULD RECOMMEND. :) FIVE STARS

Cozy and quiet

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was cozy and quiet on a dead end street not too far from stuff to do. It rained most of our trip but thankfully there is a really nice outlet mall just up the hill. This was way better than a hotel for about the same price a night! The bed was super soft and comfortable. Like they say, they provide very little so make sure to pack what you'll need. This cabin does have A/C-not sure if they added that to the description since it wasn't included in description and we had to ask when we booked. Overall, very satifisfied with the cabin.

The downfall to my experience was when I booked I was told I would receive arrival directions 24-48 hours before my stay. We could check in on 4pm according to the app but I never received an email until I contacted them the morning of. I received a response 5 1/2 hours before we got there.

Maybe just a little too basic

  • 3 of 5

There are many things to really like about the Bighorn Lodge. The location is wonderful being on a quiet little street away from the traffic of W 76 country Blvd yet close to Theaters, restaurants and shopping. We took several pleasant walks up Gretna Rd. and in a nearby city park. Because of the cliffs and tree growth around it has the feel of a country location. The internet WiFi worked very well and the Netflix/Smart TV was more than adequate (although we could not get the Apple TV to connect and there were no instructions to help). The cabin space is more than adequate, being much better than any hotel room. The cabin was clean (except for the fan) and quiet, which are all very good things.

On the less than perfect side there seemed to be several things missing, at least from my mental list of basics. The website includes the following "We provide complimentary coke, bottled water, and snacks." none of which were actually included. The kitchenette had 2 coffee cups, 2 bowels and a few loose plastic spoons but no drinking glasses, no plates, no actual spoons, forks and knives. There were no coffee filters and no dish soap to clean the cups and bowels for reuse. The bed was a little soft for my taste but good overall, however there was no night stand so no place for a clock, glasses, water or any of the things we have grown accustomed to having access to at night. The bath had no hairdryer and only one hand towel which is not enough for a multiple day stay. The only closet is in the bath and is designed as a laundry nook with washer and dryer connections. We failed to notice that the washer water connection was leaking water until after it got some of our clothes wet and made quite a mess on the floor. No one answered the phone number we were given to call for emergencies or problems nor did they ever respond to the message we left on the answering machine. We had to use the bath towels to clean up the mess and fortunately I was able to stop the water leak myself.

These all seem minor and easy fixes but as it is now I will not stay here again nor can I recommend wholeheartedly to others.

To much for to little !!

  • 1 of 5

Did not plan on what we found when arrived. We were on motorcycles and didn't plan on bring everything with us. There was only two bowls and two cups, no silverware just five plastic spoons. There was a very nice frig, plenty of room in it, but no place to cook food. We didn't plan on eating every meal out. there was a toaster and a microwave. there was no place to put our cloths ( no dressers) of any kind, had to keep cloths in suite cases on floor. It was very nicely built but only had one window, so when you closed the shutters at night it was very close. There was no cell service or WIFI, and the TV need a special code to operate ,so with no cell service could not reach owner to operate TV. To sum it up, I thought we paid to much for as little as we received. I guess

I should have read between the lines. We don't travel a lot but will look a lot harder next time.
