|Minimum Stay||2 - 7 nights|
This newly built home is located in a subdivision just 1.6 mile from Cashiers downtown and close to the Lake Glenville. It is nested in the woods offering a great privacy for your gateway while giving you a chance to stay close to all town conveniences.
Master Bedroom has its own private bathroom and features king size bed. The second bedroom has queen size bed, and the third bedroom has two single beds.
My wife and I along with an elderly dog stayed the week before Christmas in 2016.
The home is lovely. There are three bedrooms and two baths. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools. There was a nice deck with a grill that we did not use because it was the dead of winter. The fireplace worked well and drew properly. We used the fireplace extensively. The home is isolated on a hillside. We saw almost nobody after turning into the drive into the development. It is very quiet. You could hear owls and the wind at night - but could hear no traffic.
It is about 15 minutes from downtown Cashiers. Cashiers has a good grocery store (Ingles) and one of the better men's and women's consignment clothing stores we have visited (Victoria's Closet). The property owner was very responsive to questions via email.
You will need a 4WD vehicle in snow or icy conditions. The road to the home is heavily shaded and quite steep. I'm guessing that it would take a while for the drive to melt off after a snowfall or a freeze.
Very relaxing stay. We would rent again.
Our family spent Thanksgiving here this past week. Everything exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was fully stocked with all pots/pans and everything we could have needed to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. All the rooms and bathrooms were very clean and well kept. We will definitely use this home again in the future! Anna was great to work with and very quick in responding with any questions we had during our stay!
Recently stayed at this lovely, well built home and found it to be perfect for a relaxing weekend away. Great location. Convenient to downtown Cashiers and easy drive to downtown Highlands. Very clean and well appointed with nice furnishings. Kitchen is outstanding with everything you need to easily serve meals for a family. Private road, yet neighbors not far away. Surrounded by lovely tree canopy. Our host left a sweet treat in the form of local honey. Very thoughtful and attentive. Allowed our family dog with a refundable deposit. I highly recommend this home for a get-away from the hustle and bustle of bigger city life.
If you are looking for a newer, very clean home in a pretty wooded setting close to town, this home is for you. Big, open back deck, but we spent most of our time on the cozy, covered front porch which protected us from the frequent NC showers. Anna has equipped her house with wonderful leather couches, and lovely bed linens. Just be careful backing out of the driveway! Cashier's Farmer's Market and Buck's were regular stops, and a trip to Highlands to the Playhouse was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The property is relatively new, very clean and represents an excellent value. If seclusion in the woods of the Beautiful NC mountains is what you want, this property fits the bill very well. It's very conveniently located near Lake Glenville and downtown Cashiers which are both just minutes away. Owners were very polite and very responsive. Thumbs up!
This property is exactly as advertised. Clean inside. Good location - close to crossroads in cashiers. Lake Glenville close by. No problems with the rental. It was nice they allow dogs, our Boston Terriers enjoyed their vacation too!
