Overview

Healdsburg House Rental Photos and Description

3 br, 2.5 ba on 3 acres, close to Healdsburg Plaza and great wineries

Just featured by Sonoma Magazine as one of the "16 Stunning Wine Country Vacation Pools." Special Year-End rates starting at only $590/night.

This 3 acre property is located in world famous Alexander Valley, has fantastic views of the vineyards/mountains and has its own hillside vineyard (we will provide a bottle of cabernet sauvignon grown from the hillside vineyard). The house is a great combination of privacy and proximity, with the closest house a quarter mile away, but wonderful downtown Healdsburg only an eight minute drive.

Enjoy a world-class backyard. An "everything you need" deluxe outdoor kitchen, custom pool, large in-ground hot tub, waterfall, firepit, vineyard, expansive kid's play structure and of course great views. The outdoor kitchen is the centerpiece:

* Two Viking BBQs

* Two refrigerators (one for food, one for beverages)

* Freezer

* Dishwasher

* Ice maker

* Oven

* Three burners

* Two sinks

* Warming drawer

* Large islands

* Double sized mosaic tile outdoor dining table will seat 12, has cafe lights strung overhead for evening ambiance.

* After dinner, settle around the large firepit (with automatic starter).

Inside you will find another very well equipped Chef's kitchen (complete with large Viking griddle, 4 large gas burners, large island, wine frig and more). House also has a wood-burning fireplace, great entertainment system (75’ Laser HDTV with DirecTV, Blu-Ray, 7.1 surround sound and selection of over 900 movies on demand), huge covered wraparound porch with amazing vineyard views, professional massage chair, exercise equipment (treadmill, elliptical trainer) and $3,000 electronic Toto toilets (very addicting). Maintain perfect temperature control with centralized A/C and heat.

As for beds, there are 7 in total (8 if you count the queen size luxury aerobed). The master suite has a king bed, and is located upstairs with its own double-sink full bathroom and separate sitting room. The other bedrooms are downstairs, both with queen beds and direct french door access to the backyard. There is another full bath downstairs plus a half guest bath. There are fold out couches in the upstairs sitting room and downstairs living room. There are also two twin beds in the sunroom off of one of the downstairs bedrooms.

The property is gated and fully fenced with the nearest neighbor a quarter mile away. We look forward to sharing this wonderful place with you.

Note: Unfortunately, we are not able to host weddings or other large events at the property (strictly prohibited by Sonoma County). Also as a requirement for Sonoma County Code we need to say quiet hours are 10pm-7am to be observed by all guests, and one vehicle per bedroom. Permit # ZPE15-0207; TOT Cert. #1197N.

About Leslie

We are a family of three (including Milly age 11). We have lived in Healdsburg for 14 years and love sharing its wonders with guests from near and far.

Leslie purchased this house in 2003

Why Leslie chose Sonoma County

Healdsburg is a wonderful town with something for everyone. World-class restaurants, diverse wineries, spas, shopping, central plaza that hosts music festivals and weekly outdoor concerts during Summer, gourmet cooking classes and bi-weekly farmer's market May-October. We love that our home is in a country setting among wineries and vineyards, but with convenient access to the center of town in just eight minutes.

What makes this house unique

We can recommend favorite wineries, restaurants, salons, spas or shops, and children's activities if you have kids.

Beautiful property!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this Healdsburg property. With little boys afoot, we all were especially appreciative of the totally enclosed large kids' play area, the pool and spa pool, and the large fire pit and barbeque areas; when these weren't enough to wear them out, we would run them up the hill alongside the owner's vineyard. We adults loved this walk as well as it offered beautiful views of the home, pool area and the Alexander Valley. As my son-in-law is the go-to-barbeque-master in our pack, he was thrilled with all the bells and whistles he discovered in the outdoor cooking area. Plus, whether we were inside relaxing and reading or watching one of the 400 movies available (my husband's dream of what a vacation should be) or outside, we felt safe and secure, especially with the small charges we were caring for. The house was meant for entertaining and as we entertain a lot in our own homes, we were very appreciative of all the amenities that came with it. The owners were really responsive in answering through emails and texts all of our questions and concerns. We thought we would do more wine-tasting as we've done in the past in Healdsburg. However, as this home was a resort in itself and so comfortable, we spent more time relaxing and as a consequence we all arrived home more rested. The availability of this property as a VRBO could double as a poster child for why visitors should come to Healdsburg--a two thumbs up vacation for certain!

amazing place to get ready for my wedding...

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here from August 17th to 21st in preparation for my wedding at Trentadue Winery in Geyserville, CA. This property was in an ideal location - it was literally less than 10 minutes drive from the venue. The bridal party and parents were able to stay on site in one place, which was great for bonding! This house was an amazing place for all of the activities leading up to the wedding day, and was a perfect place for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready on the day of the wedding. Some of our favorite aspects about staying here:

- our parents loved the large communal kitchen and dining room, and was a constant site of activity for meal preparation and conversation. There was so much space to work, and we had everything that we needed in terms of kitchenware. We made a Costco run to Santa Rosa (approx 30 minutes away), get everything we needed to cook 3 meals a day, and we saved so much money by making everything at the house!

- the outdoor barbecue and dining area. Two nights before the wedding, we barbecued all of the meat we bought at Costco, and the outdoor kitchen was amazing and easy to use. We had beer and drinks stored in the outdoor refrigerator so we didn't even have to go back inside to replenish our drinks. We had dinner outside, which was great, but watch out for the wasps/hornets (a natural and unavoidable part of living within the grapevines); luckily the kitchen even had mini screen tents that we could pop over the food platters to keep our food safe!

- THE POOL and HOT TUB. Need I say more. The pool was clean and had so many pool floats to play with. We didn't get the additional pool heating but found that it was perfectly fine to use during the hot afternoons. We transitioned to the hot tub at night.

- the owners; Leslie was extremely responsive via text messaging She was very understanding, accommodating, and just wonderful to work with! When I was freaking out because one member of the bridal party thought she had to bring her dog with her at the last minute, Leslie was extremely gracious and had no qualms about allowing us to do so (with the pre-specificed $150 pet fee).

The house and bedrooms have a lived in quality (which should not be a surprise because the owners live there part time), but as such we could tell it was very much cared for and had everything that vacationers could possibly want. We would definitely stay here again and recommend staying here to others! Thank you again!

Fantastic home in a wonderful setting in Healdsburg

  • 5 of 5

There were seven of us that stayed in this beautiful home and it was a very comfortable and well stocked home. Settled among the Alexander Valley vineyards and only a 5 minute drive to downtown Healdsburg? The outdoor area has an incredible kitchen/barbecue area with swimming pool/ hot tub, waterfalls and vineyards! The owners Leslie and Michael, were very helpful and available and extremely accommodating.

Definitely would return and highly recommend it to family and friends!

Great family space

  • 5 of 5

For our family of 3 generations, this property had something for everyone from the playground to all of the other outdoor amenities like the outdoor kitchen, fire pit, hot tub and pool ( which we smartly elected to heat). It also has many little get away spaces, for quiet relaxation, like the chairs on the 2 upper terraces overlooking the backyard and Alexander Valley. Our host was great, down to the wine, fresh flowers and recommendations. The only con I can think of is that it is off a busy road and we could hear traffic noise. But, the positive side to that road is it makes for very easy access to wineries, grocery etc. I would come back again and I recommend this place to others.

Chefs dream home .

  • 5 of 5

Our visit to this wonderful home was for my 50 th birthday . We rent houses at least twice a year all over the country and this home is the best so far . It had everything you could possibly want . We had many chefs in our group and were completely blown away by the amenities in both kitchens . We all wanted to have the outdoor kitchen in our own homes . The outside ice maker down to the lemon juice squeezer was fabulous . We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and the wonderful fireplace and creek . We never wanted to go inside but when we did the house was very comfortable . The owners thought of everything down to the cell phone chargers in each bedroom . The nice wine from their own vineyard was a special touch . We will be coming back . Thank you again for a wonderful memory .
