We spent one week at this Port Severn (Georgian Bay) cottage. Very warm welcome by the owner, cottage very well maintained and equipped. Enjoyed canoeing, quite time at the lake and nearby attractions (Big Chute, cruise from Parry Sound).
If I had to recommend a cottage in the area, I would not hesitate a second with this cottage, we are also thinking of going back one day.
4 adult members of our family rented this cottage for the last week of September. We lucked out with the weather and most days we were able to watch the sun set during happy hour on the dock! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The lovely hosts were there to greet us and show us around - they also left us a bottle of local wine and a pound of local coffee to try. We took some day trips: Parry Sound and the Big Chute marine railway. We canoed tripped (there were only 2 adult life jackets available at the cottage even though a canoe and a paddle boat are included) and rented a small boat from the local marina (the boat was an old piece of junk and we had to return it - quite disappointing.) Thecottage is well decorated and comfortable. The indoor relaxation area has a large sectional for TV watching. While the cottage has a fireplace it wasn't in working order - evenings got quite cool and we used the electric baseboard heating - that worked well. We rented this cottage because we needed easy access to the lake and that worked out really well plus the swimming was terrific. On our last day we saw 3 deer at the end of the driveway. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will likely rent this cottage again.
