Log cabin style charm best describes this Up north feeling complex on 150 feet of Saginaw Bay beach. This cabin is half of a duplex and very close to the beach. It offers a deck with picnic table and an enclosed porch. Grill is provided as well. There is no TV but wifi is available on the property. Very close to "No Body Beats" Walt's Meat! Firewood available on the property for purchase. A great place to spend a romantic week.
Originally from Port Austin area, I am a local farm boy who grew up went away to MSU, worked in banking for a number of years among other things. After living in Ann Arbor, Cleveland, Kalamazoo areas and spending a significant amount of time in Spain, I returned to the area. I am now the owner of Blue Sky Resort (fka Fort Tranquil Sands), the owner of Blue Sky Farm (formerly the Blue Sky Drive-In movie theater) which is in the process of being converted to an organic, permaculture farm, and the Broker/owner of Thumb Realty LLC.
Brian M Wahl purchased this cabin in 2104
A great place to come and relax and get away from it all.
Half way between Port Austin and Caseville, on the lake, close to restaurants.
We stayed three nights at BLUE SKY RESORT.The room is lovely, spacious, warm and inviting. The suite is just a few step to the beach and about a 5-10 minute walk to all the wonderful shops and restaurants in downtown PORT AUSTIN .I highly recommend BLUE SKY RESORT. PERFECT VACATION. THANK YOU.
I had the pleasure of staying at blue sky resort for eleven days in july and I loved it. The cabins are comfortable with a full kitchen. The beach is soft sand and the water was clear and perfect temperature. I enjoyed the relaxing peace and quiet and also the family atmosphere with bonfires, smores and beautiful sunsets. Brian, the owner and Susan, the property manager were wonderful and helpful. I will definetely try to come back next year.

Huron County offers over 90 miles of shoreline, more than any of the other 82 counties in Michigan. A short 2 hour drive from Metro Detroit, why fight the I-75 traffic when you can be on the beach while your neighbors are stuck in traffic?
