This Cottage Is The Back Half Of The Duplex That Is Closest To The Waterfront.

Charming cozy 1 bedroom 1 bath with deck and picnic table. Excellent for a couple to spend some quality time together. Or just right for the family that is just getting started. Literally only a few steps from where the grass ends and the sand begins on the 150 foot of beach. The most affordable cabin in the complex. A great place to disconnect and unwind from everything. The cottage is small but a good place to really get to know that special person you are spending the weekend with.

Brian the owner was awesome! He took care of everything including hot homemade bread and veggies from out of his garden. Already booked for next year!

Simple and relaxing

  • 4 of 5

We came across this place last minute spur of the moment trip as everything else was booked up. It is halfway between Port Austin and Caseville. The place is somewhat " older" but there have been some updates. The wife and I are simple and do not need modernization and we were pleasantly surprised. The cabin was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. There is no TV but there is WIFI. Brian was a pleasant host and has wood for purchase and a basic "store" with ice, charcoal, fluid, smore kits and Toliet paper. All of the prices are reasonable and we did end up buying his ice on site. Walts meat store is just down the road and well within walking distance. They have a pretty big meat counter, some breads and cookies, basic necessities and decent beer selection to boot. We made more than one stop there. The prices are more than a grocery store but they do have good stuff. The beach here was relaxing and pleasant and we seen great sunsets that rival the ones we seen on the gulf in Florida. I wouldn't hesitate to come back honestly. There are 6 Firepits for 8 cabins with one on the beach, one just before it and another two between cabins heading towards the beach. While there are chairs you might want to bring your own just in case everyone has a fire or sits on the beach at the same time. Thanks for a great stay! PS Duftys Blue Water Inn has an EXCELLENT Cattlmans burger! We got it with Gouda cheese and it was darn good!

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. There should be no shortage of exterior chairs as I have a extra along the wall by the beach and in the storage room under cabin 8. Please come back and send your friends and neighbors too!

Great relaxing get away!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was cozy, but clean with great amenities. My dog and I had a great stay enjoying the beach. Our neighbor's were great, as well, everyone was welcoming. Our host, Brian, was gracious and even lent me a corkscrew.
