We love the Puamana Community, it's amenities, friendly and private in a remarkable ocean front setting.
This property has a commanding view of the ocean and creates a private domain of oceanic tranquility. The space comfortably housed our group of six and provided easy access to beach and to the cultural attractions of Lahaina.
The condo was nicely furnished and in a good location. The downside was that the A/C thermostat was not adjustable. It was comfortable from around 1:00 am to around 10:00 am. due to it being cool outside.Other than that it was hot. Not a lot of fun trying to get ready for an evening out while sweating. Traveled with my wife, adult stepson, daughter and son in law. All were hot. We are from Southeast Texas and are not strangers to the heat. We talked to more than one person at Whalers Realty Management Co. about this and got the standard reply each time, but no fix. Due to this I would not stay at this condo or use Whalers again, nor would I recommend this rental. Too many other rentals in Maui to be uncomfortable, especially for the price.
We had 7 people (2 couples and 3 adults). Exactly as the pictures promised . Highly recommend!!
We did experience what I call, needs some TLC for the price. The floor has some kind of adhesive on the kitchen floor, dirty pots and pans, (need new fry pans), plugged gutters off master bedroom breeding mosquitoes, we unplugged it. One of the chaise lounges was ripped and unusable. The TV needs directions really bad. One of the stoppers in the sink in master is broken. The kitchen is invaded by ants. We feel that the kitchen windows need screens and blinds, no privacy when it gets dark. We did have a wonderful time after we got over the problems. Housekeeping did come and clean part of the floor and take out the recycles left by previous tenants. We would recommend this condo. My Mom is 92 and she just loved sitting in her chair watching the cruise ships, boats, surfers, and stand up paddlers.
