About Brian M Wahl
Originally a farm boy from the local area who grew up 2 miles south of Port Austin on M-53 on what is locally known as "Wahl's curve". Went away to MSU, worked in banking among other things for a number of years while living in Ann Arbor, Cleveland and Kalamazoo. Spent a LOT of time in Spain especially winters over the last few years. Returned to the area and now I am owner of Blue Sky Resort, Blue Sky Farm (under development to be kind) and Broker/Owner of Thumb Realty LLC. I keep busy but seem to get side-tracked often socializing.
Brian M Wahl purchased this Cottage in 2014

What makes this Cottage unique
Great location and only a 2 hour drive from Metro Detroit, up M-53/Van Dyke or M-24 to M-25. Why go 4 hours up I-75 when you can be enjoying the beac while your neighbors are stuck in traffic on their way to the further up north? Come the the closer Up North......experience the local charm when you get to know the people who are "From here from home before".

home away from home.
nice clean beach with breathtaking sunsets.
Was very satisfied with our visit to
Blue Sky Resort! Cabin was clean and beach was great! Beautiful sunsets very enjoyable!
Brain was the best host ever!
Makes great bread also!
A well maintained comfortable grouping of cabins on a gorgeous section of lakefront
The owner is very accomodating, and each cabin has access to grills, firepits and outdoor seating. The beach is wonderful and ample. Halfway between Caseville and Port Austin, it is a great location.
Thank you! Come back and stay again. Send your frI ends too!
Waterfront cabin. Pet friendly. Great sunsets.
Cabin 4 is exactly what I was looking for. Close to the beach and quiet. My grandson was able to swim while I watched from the deck. Had a great view of lake from cabin without seeing other cabins. The owner made sure we had everything we needed. Cabin was well furnished with utensils. My dog loved it too .
Thank you! Please come back again! Fall is beautiful!
A little piece of heaven
Staying at the Blue Sky Resort was all my husband and I hoped it would be and more. We had a very bad experience last summer with a rental in Oscoda, so we were a little leery. The moment we pulled on to the property and met Brian all our doubts went away. He personally took us to our cabin and reassured us that if we needed anything, just let him know. The cabin was exactly as it was stated to be, small, cozy and with a view of the lake that was breathtaking. The beach was kept up and fire pits cleaned out daily by Brian. The other cabins looked equally as nice. We would highly recommend this place to all we know.
Great place to stay
This cabin is in an awesome spot on the lot. Your backdoor and deck face the water. There is a nice sandy beach tons of fire pits for privacy or group settings. Brian is great. Very responsive and showed us we could walk out about 100 yards into a sandbar on the lake. One small item of caution is the stove is on gas and you will want to make sure the pilot light is lit. Was easy to do but cabin smelled a little of gas when we arrived.
Just a short 2 hour drive from the metro Detroit area. Why fight the I-75 Traffic when you can be Up north in no time sitting on the sand watching the waves?
