The penthouse's rooftop terrace has amazing 360 degree views of the ocean and is equipped with grill, cooler, garden table, umbrella, chairs, sun beds and a bench.

The apartments is a one bedroom, one bathroom, living room and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and utensils. The bedroom has a kingsize bed, night tables, night lamps and a rack for hanging clothes.

My name is Ada Silverio. My mother's side of the family is from Isla Mujeres. I had a wonderful childhood growing up on the island, very calm and peaceful. I am fluent in English since I also lived abroad in the United States (Virginia and Florida). I currently live on the Sac Bajo part of the island and work in downtown.

I love this property because it's located right in the heart of downtown, and you can still get away from its hustle and bustle since the bedroom is very private and quiet.

What makes this apartment unique

Unique Benefits of this property is that it is within walking distance to many places in downtown, including the ferry terminal that takes you to Cancun. You will barely need to grab a taxi and, depending on availability, I also have two bicycles that can be reserved free of charge.

Comfortable accommodation in an ideal location, with a great owner and spectacular rooftop terrace.

We are just back from a great week here, our third visit since 2015. The two times previous we stayed further south on Juarez, on the malecon near the end. We loved that proximity to the waterfront, and thought we might miss it, but the private terrace with great views made up for it. Add to that the great location. It wasn't a long walk from the place we stayed before to the hubbub of centro, but this was so handy. Two blocks from the beginning of Hidalgo, three blocks from the supermarket, four blocks from the malecon, two blocks from the ferry, and steps from the ATM at Banamex, which we have always used. Ada, the owner, lives nearby, and was very available to answer any questions posed via phone calls or emails. We had an issue with the wifi on arrival, which was cleared up very quickly. I much prefer having the property owner nearby to dealing with a property management company.

The only negative: as you can tell from the photos, the furnishings are somewhat spartan. But the TV and wifi and appliances worked, and the bed is of good quality, so the necessities are covered. One odd thing - which is more of a problem for the tenants of the 2nd floor apartment - the stairway to this apartment goes through the middle of the 2nd floor apartment. The individual rooms can be closed off, but still it was a little strange to run into folks! (Very nice ones, by the way!) Like I say, it wasn't a problem, but I think it's worth pointing out.

Fantastic apartment in Isla Mujeres, easy access to everything

This was a great apartment to use as a base to explore Isla Mujeres. Very comfortable and clean.

The apartment is a two-block walk from the ferry, seconds from the town square, restaurants and ice cream (and the grocery store). It is a few minutes walk through town to the beach.

The apartment includes a big bed for two in the main bedroom, and an adjoining room with a smaller sofa bed (which could squeeze two if they were small and friendly). The kitchen is down the hall, and upstairs is the rooftop patio (great view of the stars!). Everything was clean and in working order (kitchen, AC, plumbing, etc.). The day we wanted to go to the south end of the island (beautiful views), one of the many golf cart rental places was downstairs so it was extremely convenient.

Ada is a wonderful host, meeting us at the ferry, communicates easily in Spanish and English, and took care of all of our needs. She was extremely responsive when we had questions.

We had a wonderful three days/nights on Isla with this nice apartment as our base.

Island Getaway

Just spent a wonderful week on one of our favourite islands - Isla Mujeres. This was our first time renting this apartment. The location is fabulous - steps from the main square, groceries, and restaurants. The main beach -Playa Norte is a couple of blocks away. Ada is a wonderful host. She met us at the ferry terminal and escorted us to the apartment. The apartment itself is a good basic place to hang out for a week or more. Comfortable bed, clean space, good bathroom, decent kitchen. A few more amenities (more pillows, more kitchen utensils, a more comfortable sitting area) would make this a five star review. I spoke with Ada and she is going to address these concerns. Sitting on the roof top patio watching the sun go down with a glass of wine, doesn't get much better!

A Perfect Stay in Paradise

Ada was a wonderful and attentive host. Our transportation was delayed and we were about 1.5 hours behind schedule. She was so patient and kind to wait and even send me a personal text message when I could not respond to her email because I didn't have internet connection. She walked us to the property and was available if we needed her, though everything was just as described so we never needed to contact her.

The apartment is just as pictured and even better than what you would expect. The neighborhood was very accessible and had all the conveniences within a stone's throw.

The island is a dream and the apartment completed a perfect weekend for us.

I highly recommend staying here!!!

Beautiful Sunsets and Fantastic Location

We went to Isla with three other couples, staying at different places, and ours was hands down the nicest. The apartment is about 250 yards to the largest grocery store in the city, beside a bank and across the street from the police station/municipal building. Spacious and clean sums up the apartment. It was very quiet at night and had a great king size bed. Everything was within walking distance no need to worry about a taxi or golf cart. The terrace is the real deal maker. We had our friends over for happy hour and to watch a sunset they were very impressed. My wife has fair skin and can't spend hours at the beach that is where the terrace was really handy. We would cook breakfast and go up to the terrace to sun and read our books. I would sun on a lounger and she would lay in the hammock away from the sun.

All and all our vacation to Isla was one of the best we ever had and the accommodation was a big part of that.

Ada (the owner) was very helpful and pleasant. We would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location, very helpful hosts!

My mom and I enjoyed our recent stay at the penthouse apartment on Isla Mujeres. The unit is perfectly situated just a few blocks from the ferry dock and all of the great restaurants and beaches on the north end of the island - we have too many favorites to name! The apartment has been newly renovated and is very clean. The panoramic view from the rooftop is incredible - we enjoyed our sunsets from the roof most nights.

Our host Ada was extremely attentive and helpful. She reached out to find out when we'd be arriving on the island and was there to meet us at the ferry dock. We had one minor issue with water pressure during the week, but Ada responded to our message within moments and had a maintenance person there within 30 minutes and the issue was immediately fixed. As we were one of the first renters, we offered some pointers on some extras that would make future guests' stay even better, and Ada had confirmed the next day that she'd followed up on our advice.

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this unit!

Historically, Isla Mujeres is a fishing village and though it is now thoroughly discovered by tourists it still retains it's charm and tranquil atmosphere. As you stroll the streets in the evening you will see families gathered together in Caribbean styled homes, tucked between stores and restaurants, mending their fishing nets and relaxing.
