Robert Wackman purchased this chalet in 2014
Its always about Location. After our last Smokey Mountain renovation, A Walk in the Clouds, in Gatlinburg, we were looking for a cabin in the Pigeon Forge area and found this property. A diamond in the rough . After 6 months of work, and over $40,00.00 of improvements, "A Walk in the Clouds Too" is ready for your enjoyment. Handsome hardwood floors, wood-paneled walls and charming mountain-decor gives the interior the quintessential cabin-look, making it an absolute delight to return home to.
Close to all the action and fun, in a peaceful and tranquil setting. The distinctive beauty and charm of " A Walk In The Clouds Too" sets this cabin apart from the rest.
Great Cabin to stay, very nice, clean and well kept. It provides a great view! You feel away from traffic but it very close to Dollywood and Gatlinburg. It gives you a feeling of "home away from home", you have everything you need to cook a nice dinner to a cookout. Our two kids love it!
Robert, the owner is very responsive and made himself available when we need to call him to discuss things out.
My wife and I selected this cabin in the mountains close to Pigeon Forge for a week long stay with our two daughters, 8 & 13
Ths was remodeled inside and looks terrific. Everything looks just like the photos, our expectations were exceeded!!
The girls loved the loft space. The cabin has a gas fireplace, roomy kitchen with new dishwasher, large flat screen TV in living room and a good size one in the master. Bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the wraparound deck and mountain views. We cooked out several times on the grill.
This was the first time I went on the Internet to do a vacation rental. I was apprehensive at first, but checked out the company, homeaway
And everything checked out. I read the reviews on this cabin and was impressed enough to take a chance.
It went perfectly. The transaction was easy and everything was guaranteed. We arrived late, and punched in the door code provided, easy breezy!! The easiest check-in ever!!! Parked the family minivan right in front of the cabin.
One week was not enough, we all wanted to stay longer. This is definitely a trip we are gong to repeat next year.
It is so quiet up there, no noise from the city or roads, this cabin is near the top of the mountain and is essentially a cul--de-sac
The drive up is fun, steep inclines and winding country roads make it a beautiful drive. We have a basic minivan and it was no problem for me to handle, my wife also.
Robert Wackman's A Walk In the Clouds Too is a gem. We were most impressed with it's modern, thoughtful floor plan, the privacy of the deck, and cleanliness. Its location allowed us a great opportunity to enjoy a healthy taste of all the attractions, adventure, and beauty that the Smoky Mountains offer. Local nearby neighbors testify to Wackman's extra effort. All communication with owner about this property was personable, efficient, and professional.
Very organized, super clean overall fantastic location close to town but just far enough away to relax in the quiet tranquility of the mountains
We got into town late, however that wasn't a problem since we were given the door code to come and go as we please. The size was perfect for a couple, with ample room for kids in the loft. Kitchen was stocked with everything (besides food) that you'd need to cook a meal while staying. Decent view. Overall a great cabin for a vacation, close to Pigeon Forge, roughly 9 miles from Gatlinburg... Perfect! I couldn't be happier!
We loved the time we spent in the cabin. Part of the drive up to the cabin was on a small road that was a little stressfull to drive in the dark, but after a few trips it became easier. Driving it in the daylight was fine and the cabin had good proximity to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The view off the back balcony was nice as it looked into the trees, but if you want to see a view looking across the mountains, you will need to walk across the street. In the fall, you might be able to see across the mountains from the loft window. The cabin was a great size for our family of 4. The kids (5 & 7) thought the loft was really cool. By the time we left both the kids were very proficient at going up and down the ladder.
There is so much to do in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Smoky Mountains area that three days weren't enough. We will definitely try to come back in the future.
