About the property

Three Bedrooms and a Cranberry Bog -- Close To The Beach.

Welcome to the Wildwood House. Comfortable, quiet and simply furnished, Wildwood House is a short one-mile walk or drive to the beach, with a plethora of shops, restaurants, theaters and hiking trails just a stone's throw away. Built by my parents and their friends three decades ago, this appealing and solidly built home has encompassed a lot of love over the years. Used primarily as a summer home, Wildwood House boasts three-bedrooms, two baths, an open kitchen, dining and living room combo, HD Smart television, high-speed Internet (wifi), a blue-tooth music system, a washer and dryer, a large outdoor deck, a professionally scaled horseshoe pit (why not, right?), and a small, wild cranberry bog nestled at the edge of the property. It is, indeed, the sweetest escape.

About Michael Sottile

I was born in West Hartford, Connecticut, but "grew-up" in NYC. Being a musician and someone who was always interested in the creative arts, I attended New York University where I received degrees in both theater and music-composition. After twenty-six years of being a working artist in New York, I decided to divide my time between the city and the Cape - something that I consider one of the best decisions of my life. The energy of the city fuels my core, while the beauty and simplicity of the Cape constantly inspire me. Truly, it's a perfect balance. I make my living as a composer, lyricist, playwright and director. I absolutely love what I do. My latest musical, "One Day" had a successful Off-Broadway run this past winter and will move to the Broadway stage in 2018.

Why Michael Sottile chose Brewster

Along with my brother, I've been coming to Brewster ever since I was an infant. My wonderful parents even honeymooned here. Known as a sea captain's town, this historic place is filled with beautiful antique homes, gorgeous vistas, beaches and a simplicity of the days of long ago. The beauty of this town is its accessibility to so much, so close. Wildwood House is just off of historic Route 6A that will take you to the bridges of the Cape, energetic Provincetown, and everything in between.

This is a great home. Located on a quiet street, the house had everything we needed includung a fantastic deck. It is well-kept and very comfortable. We spent many days at nearby Cold Storage Beach which we loved. Thanks - we want to go back!!

Fantastic location, sad to leave!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned home after a great stay in "The Sweetest Escape". The house was even better than described on the website, superb location, just a mile from the nearest beach. With Dunkin Donuts and 'The Lost Dog' Pub just 3 minutes east, we had everything we needed closeby, including also a great convenience store. The property was spotless on arrival and had everything we needed for a great holiday. The washing machine even played a tune when it was finished!

The owner Michael couldn't have been nicer in helping us organise our trip and was so prompt to reply to all our emails, both prior and during our stay. I have already passed on the details of the house to other family members living in the Boston area and I have no doubt we will make contact to stay again in the future.

For a real Cape Cod experience, you won't go wrong in staying at The Sweetest Escape.

A very happy Irish family!

We'll definitely be back!!!

  • 5 of 5

My family and friends feel we lucked out in renting this charming home in Brewster. It is nestled in the woods with lovely landscaping. As soon as we entered we felt like we were at home. The house was extremely clean and well kept. The furnishings were simple yet tasteful. It was wonderful to have a washer and dryer there and the kitchen was spacious and the air conditioned downstairs was an added plus. After a day at the beach is was a treat to come "home" and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings on the deck. Another added plus is that the neighbors and friendly and a pleasure to talk with. One of them took me for a walk around the neighborhood and gave me suggestions on places to go. We spent most of our beach time on the beaches in Dennis. The bay side beaches are beautiful and clean and there was nothing better than taking a walk along them at low tide in the morning.....inspiring and invigorating! It was a bargain to buy a weekly beach pass for a mere $75 that allowed us entrance to all beaches in Dennis which were minutes away. It couldn't be easier to communicate with the owner. If I had a question he got back to me quickly . He also was helpful with suggestions on places to go. Would I recommend this rental to family and friends.....without doubt and I will most certainly be returning. I was also thinking that a visit in the fall would probably be a good idea too as the cape is lovely that time of year. A good time was had by all!!!!

Wonderful clean house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house! The communication with the owner was quick and courteous. The house was clean, homey and extremely comfortable, with Super fast wifi (which the kids really needed). The location is stellar - close to the beach and restaurants. We are definitely planning on returning and would recommend this home to anyone.
