Overview

About the property

Top Floor, central heat&air, great mountain views, 1 mile to downtown square!

Take the elevator to this top floor (3rd), end unit. The condo is newly decorated with tasteful southwest touches. Yes, this building has an

elevator for easy access. The 3rd floor offers peace and quiet. It also has a view of the Santa Fe Mountains. This comfy condo has new furnishings, a very well equipt kitchen, kiva fireplace, and central heat and air! Also, there is a washer and dryer in the unit!! There is a nice shopping mall a couple blocks away, with a great grocery store, restaurants, Starbucks and movie theater. It is a few blocks, about a 4 minute drive, to the famed Plaza in the heart of downtown Santa Fe. Jump on the highway and head north 4 miles to the famous Santa Fe Opera house. Santa Fe skiing is only 18 miles away!

Because this is our home away from home, we put the most comfortable King size bed in this one bedroom, one bath condo. And since our friends and family come to visit, we bought a brand new, very comfortable queen size sleeper sofa. There is also a twin size air mattress, so this condo can comfortably sleep 5.

When you enter the condo, you will notice a lot of light from all the windows along the back wall with lovely tree and mountain views. The condo is all tile floors and has wood beamed ceilings in the living and dining areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Just pick up some groceries from one of several stores in town. There is a common area downstairs equipped with grills, patio tables, and chairs.

The condo has a lovely dining area plus seating for 2 at the bar area overlooking the kitchen. The living area has a traditional kiva fireplace, comfy leather seating, and a 50" flat screen TV with cable and free high speed internet and WiFi. There is also a spacious bathroom with a tub/shower combo. And, for your convenience, there's a washer and dryer in the unit as well. As I mentioned, it has a brand new, king size bed in the bedroom. Also lots of storage in the wall of closets.

Beyond the french doors, there is a large covered balcony that spans the entire width of the condo. There is plenty of seating out there! The perfect quiet spot to take in the wonderful view. It is a great place to enjoy the sunrise and morning coffee or the sunset with a nice glass of wine.

Also, in the winter, the skiing is located about 18 miles from the condo. So many other activites like hiking, shopping, 5 museums including the Georgia O'Keefe Museum downtown, will keep you as busy as you want to be. Take a trip to Bandelier National Park to see the Indian ruins or head to the awe inspiring Tent Rocks National Park for something completely different. There are hundreds of trails for biking and hiking all over Santa Fe.

The location is about a mile from downtown and a few blocks from Albertans, restaurants, and shopping. Jump on the highway to head north to the Opera house, the Buffalo Thunder casino or The Bandolier National Monument.

We chose this condo for its great location, peaceful surroundings and mountain views. It truly is our home away from home, so we try to make it as modern and comfortable as possible.

About Alen and Kate Pellerin

We are Recent empty nesters with a love for hiking, mountain biking, skiing, shopping, art and all things unique and beautiful . Santa Fe offered us all of these things, in a great climate.

Why Alen and Kate Pellerin chose New Mexico

We love everything about Santa Fe. From the warm people to the gorgeous scenery, Santa Fe checks all the boxes. There is something for everyone! This condo was in a great location, close to everything, but removed enough for peace and quiet. Plus ample parking makes it easy to get in and out of. Which can be rare for Santa Fe. Whether you love the outdoors or shopping, Museums or delicious food, you'll find it here. Did I mention the food? There are so many wonderful restaurants to choose from. From Spanish to Steakhouse and everything in between, Santa Fe has a taste for every pallet.

What makes this condo unique

Some of the things we love about our condo:

-Our condo building has an elevator so getting to the top (3rd) floor is a breeze.

-room to park

-close to everything, but just out of the way enough to get out of the hustle and bustle

-central air *not the norm in Santa Fe

-close to biking trails and dog park

-12 minutes from the airport

-5 minute drive to downtown or a nice 15-20 minute walk. We have also ridden our bikes to the downtown square.

Close to everything, comfortable and spotless

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Cielo Grande 9/24-9/29/17 was lovely: the residence, the weather (heat, sun, rain, chills), and the city. The new king-sized bed was VERY comfortable, and the laundry was SO appreciated after nearly a month touring the state. We were able to watch the Green Packers beat the Chicago Bears even though SFNM's thunder storm caused local broadcasting problems, we were still able to watch the game via Amazon Prime after the 45 minute delay at Lambeau Field due to lightening. But I digress. Everything in the unit was clean and worked, and during the evening of rain the deck stayed stayed dry and the seating was comfortable. Walking in the neighborhood was a pleasure, especially into the "dog park" where the city and mountain views made us wish we'd brought our own dog. Finally, Kate, the owner, kept in touch, made sure we were settled and asked about a relleno cooking class we were attending that she was interested in too. It was very good, covering the chemistry of the produce we worked with. Too much to see and do in a single trip. We'll be back!

The condo is very comfortable and in a great location. We enjoyed our stay and were very appreciative of this dog friendly condo! The kitchen was wonderful with everything you need to enjoy a meal and we took avantage of the grill and picnic area also. The king size bed was super comfy. I would definitely recommend staying there.

We loved this condo

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time we've tried out any vacation rental by owner and we loved it. So close to shops and the downtown plaza. All the amenities made us feel at home. We highly recommend staying here.

Great condo

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed staying in this condo with our two dogs. It is a nice size with a king bed, kitchen, living room, and balcony. It's on the third floor, but there's an elevator if you need it. Although not in walking distance to the Plaza, it's a short drive to downtown and other attractions. The owner, Kate, was very responsive and accommodating. The only reason why I did not give this five stars is because it is right off of a highway so you can hear the traffic (especially when the balcony door is open). Despite that, we would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in Santa Fe.

  • 5 of 5

The views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains are spectacular and you can see downtown Santa Fe as well. The Plaza is a little over a mile away and it is an easy walk. The property has everything you need for your stay. The bed is comfortable, there is a large flat screen tv, the kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils you could need. I recommend this property to anyone who is traveling to Santa Fe.
