Beautiful Cook's Bay

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + 2 Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Relisted again late January 2017! Beautiful Cook's Bay on Lake Minnetonka. This 3 bedroom 2 bath house has two fireplaces and a fantastic lakeside deck to enjoy the wonderful summer evenings. The dock is only steps out the back door so you can be on and off the lake in a flash. There are two large indoor living spaces, in addition to the three main floor bedrooms, providing plenty of room for the whole crew. We've got plenty of sleeping space in this one. There's a king sized bed in the master bedroom, a bunk room with 2 bunk beds, and a queen in the 3rd bedroom. If you need more sleeping space there are two pull out sleeper sofas (one on the main floor and one on the lower level). If you have a large group and would like to head up north for a week check out our Leech Lake listing VRBO #460093.

Great Family Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

My family & parents recently stayed here on Cook's Bay & had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful & clean with all the needed amenities. When the weather wasn't cooperating for fishing or boating MOA was just 20 minutes away for a fun filled day. I would recommned a fishing guide if you are new to this lake, we had a great experience with Take the Bait Guide Service, & learned many tips for fishing in Cook's Bay. We have stayed in other rentals in MN past years & this one has been our favorite yet! Another plus is that the owner replies promptly with any questions you have for your stay. 100% recommend this for your next stay in MN.

Warm and cozy even at -24 degrees!

  • 5 of 5

We didn't know what to expect when we decided to spend Christmas on a big lake in Minnesota. It was wonderful! There were nice comfortable beds for all 10 of us. The location made it so we were able to travel back and forth between Lack Minnetonka and Minneapolis easily. The views from the house of this big frozen lake were beautiful, fish houses, snowmobiles and cross country skiers. To the great joy of everyone, Santa even found us and left the perfect gifts. Now we can't wait to see it in the summer.

The owner was very easy to contact and very helpful.

Wonderful Girls Weekend on the Lake!

  • 5 of 5

This place exceeded our expectations for a girls weekend away on the lake. Everything was even better than we expected from the website and pictures, and the owner was very helpful and responsive. The location is fabulous, and we had plenty of space for 11 girls. The living room and deck views were fantastic, and there is a ton of private dock space to enjoy the lake. We loved it so much we plan to come back every year!

Lake House

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at the lake house. The views from the deck were beautiful and it was a perfect spot to watch the sunsets. The home was very clean and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the owner had thought of everything we would need during our stay. The home was very comfortable and had enough room for us as well as some eager visitors during the day. There was a small park and beach area three houses away, which worked great for the kids- being that there isn't really a yard due to it being right on the water. In addition, there is a large beach, playground and launch area, direclty across the bay and just a few minutes drive from the house. It was handy to have Al and Almas supper club right down the block which saved me a night of cooking! In addition, they offer dinner cruizes which provides you with another source of entertainment. We also found the lake maps that were provided, very handy in navigating through this large lake system, which also identified restaraunts that were right on the lake- two of which we went to. (Lord Fletchers and Maynards) They both offer great atmosphere and food. In addition, the town of Wayzeta and Excelsior were very cute quaint towns right on the water which offered shoping and dining. These are just a few miles from the house and easy to get to. The great thing about the location is it is just a short drive to get to downtown Minneapolis to catch a game and a short drive to the Mega Mall and other city attractions if you wanted to go. The owner was very responsive to all my questions and got back to me in a timely manner. He was great to work with. This home would be great to stay at any time during the year- as it is great to be on the lake in the summer, but would be beautiful during the fall as well as the winter. The home also offers a two car garage and the driveway is big enough for 4 additional cars if needed. (three if needing to store the boat trailer). The neighborhood was quiet as well. I would definatley stay at this place again and would recommend it to others.

Great vacation spot with exceptional sunset views

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very appealing lake house. The house and furnishings and decor were very updated, clean and cheerful making it a great location to view spectacular sunsets each night over the lake. Fishing for the kids from the pier was a big hit as well with only seconds needed for the fishing hook to be in the water before they had a little fish. Many thoughtful extras provided with the house rental and a very pleasant experience dealing with the owner. Overall a top notch vacation location - five stars.

Beautiful sunsets. Tranquility in the cities.

  • 5 of 5

I would highly recommend this property. We were from out of town to attend our nieces wedding at

Bay View Events Center. The property is exactly as described, although I don't know how you

describe the beautiful sunsets from the balcony! The property is ideally located on quiet Cooks bay, away from all the traffic on the rest of the lake, but still accessible. There are ample beds, more than we could use. It is close to Minneapolis and St. Paul to enjoy all they have to offer.

It has the feel of "Up North" without the traffic. If I lived in the cities I would rent this property all the time!
