Your accommodations are the entire first floor of a multi level contemporary home in a quiet setting that is tucked away at the end of a private road with an abundance of Pacific Northwest Greenery. We are located two short blocks from the largest park in Edmonds. Our location is close to everything in the greater North Seattle area. The suite is a very large 450 sq. ft. private room with 12' ceilings and has unusually large windows that look out to trees, birds, sky, and nature. Your entrance is the front door that is exclusively used by you during your stay. The owners use a different access. Open the front door take three steps to the right and there's your suite inviting you in with its French doors. The private full bath is immediately adjacent to the suite.. The space is painted with warm colors and professionally decorated with outdoor destinations and Native American tributes. The space features a brand new comfortable queen bed with premium bedding and linens. You will enjoy all the comforts typically found in premium hotels like HDTV, WIFI, mini fridge with water, Keurig coffee maker with a variety of complementary K-pods , microwave, seating area with two love seats, full closet, extra large windows, board games, books, magazines, and more. The adjacent bathroom has a full walk-in shower. We offer a continental breakfast featuring home-made sweetbreads and baked goodies.. The suite and bathroom are professionally cleaned and sanitized. It was carved from a single piece of Douglas Fir by a British Columbia wood sculpture artist. We have free parking, room for bicycles, kayaks, and other toys you might bring with you. Our home is secured with contemporary security system, a protective friendly dog named Cal Ripken Jr. Best of all is that each morning you will have a hearty uniquely home crafted breakfasts and snacks delivered to your door.

We consider ourselves friendly, sociable, helpful, and good listeners which is important to ensure we deliver the best possible service possible. We do however understand and appreciate your privacy and do our very best to protect and guard it all times. The suite has its own deadbolt lock. It is only Kim and I living here. We typically do not host friends and relatives when guests are in quarters.

So if you read this far and you are not convinced this is the place for you, don't take our word, please read what other guests have to say in the review portion of this posting.

We wish you well in your search for the best lodging available in Edmonds. Edmonds is a wonderful city with a downtown that has a quaint and a "village-like" feel to it.

Well wishes and safe travels.

Dan and Kim

When you are here, you are the priority. We strive to ensure your experience emphasizes hospitality and comfort. It is our belief that your experience here will be unlike what is typical in higher priced hotels and extended stay type lodging options.

We like to think that we charge a fair price for fantastic accommodations with home-made breakfasts and where smiles and hugs are free.

About Kim Eagle - Eagle USA LLC

The best way to describe us is that we are lovers of beautiful places, all things Pacific Northwest, family, friends, faith, and great food. We love to garden, take long walks, hike, and camp in the plentiful great outdoor venues in Washington State. Our favorite vacation destination is Sedona, Arizona.

We have lived and worked in the Pacific Northwest for most of our lives. We have also lived in Marriotsville, Maryland; Exton, Pennsylvania; and San Diego, California. We know the greater Seattle/Edmonds area well and are happy to answer your travel questions whether you book with us or not. Our goal is to make you feel at home and provide you with a warm and wonderful alternative to a hotel experience. We place a high priority on your privacy and ours. We consider ourselves a friendly, courteous, and respectful couple with a wealth of knowledge of the area and the Northwest in general. We will do everything we can to make you feel at home and respect your privacy. Our promise is to give you a warm welcome and orientation when you arrive.

Why Kim Eagle - Eagle USA LLC chose Puget Sound

We are two block from Yost park with hiking trails, pool, nature walks, picnic areas, basketball and tennis courts. We are one block from the public transit bus stop. We are located at the top of a hill that leads to downtown Edmonds approximately one mile away. Downtown Edmonds is a village-like setting and is located right on Puget Sound. Edmonds has shopping, restaurants, beaches, parks, picnicking, walking and hiking; museums, art galleries, theater, an acclaimed bird sanctuary, marina, beach-front park, off-leash dog park, and much, much more. The Savvy Traveler & Rick Steve's are also located in downtown Edmonds. So much to do! So little time! The Washington State ferry system has a dock here in Edmonds that has walk-on or drive-on 20 minute sailing to Kingston, Washington which is the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula. Amtrak and Sound Transit share a depot stop in Edmonds. It is a twenty minute non-stop ride to downtown Seattle and access to all points and destinations via Amtrak. Village Players in the local theater production less than six blocks from the house. There is a major shopping mall about five miles away. It takes approximately 45-minutes to get to or from SeaTac airport via automobile. Driving to or from downtown Seattle will take you approximately 30 minutes. Walking to downtown Edmonds on Main Street or via Yost Park takes about 15 minutes. Our promise is to give you a warm welcome and orientation when you arrive. We will provide you with keys and codes and house rules which are essentially common courtesy.

What makes this apartment unique

Access to all modes of public and private transportation. Our favorite is the train system with shuttles to and from Seattle.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Ervin and Patti were with us for three short days and we miss them already. We guard our guest/s privacy and respect their social preferences. Patti and Ervin felt comfortable to spend some of their vacation time with us. We broke bread together, watched the World Series, and saw a few YouTube videos that had Ervin rolling on the floor with laughter.

It has been our experience that each guest/s have brought and left a little bit of their life experiences and family stories. This never ceases to amaze us and Kim and I are blessed to be just a small part of what brings folks to the greater Seattle area.

In just three short days, we developed a friendship with Patti and Ervin that we expect will continue to grow. We could not ask for more congenial guests and are proud to be associated with them in every way.

We recommend the Howells as highly as possible. We hope the readers and owners out there will be lucky enough to make their acquaintances along our respective journeys.

The listing was very accurate. The owners were hospitable above and beyond. The rooms were immaculate. The setting was gracious and comfortable. It felt like home away from home. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. When we visit the area again we would definitely want to stay there again.

Our recent visit to "Feather Fight" was, indeed, delightful! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Dan & Kim. The property was beautifully landscaped & maintained--inviting when we drove in the driveway. Our room & bathroom were immaculately clean! The room where we stayed was spacious to enjoy "down" time. The bed was quite comfortable & there were plenty of extra bed linens. We enjoyed the amenities, i.e. Keurig, fridge & microwave. It was nice to have plenty of coffee & tea to enjoy @ our leisure. The Eagles added a special touch to our visit by having wonderful cupcakes decorated with "49", since we were celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary! They thought of everything to make our stay more than accommodating!

We liked the location of Feather Fight with quaint downtown Edmonds nearby as well as the beautiful area @ Puget Sound. We were most appreciative to Dan & Kim for welcoming our inquiries about places to dine & areas of interest to see. Their recommendations did not disappoint!

Breakfast was delicious with a lovely presentation. Kim was so gracious to share her yummy quiche recipe!

If we return to the Seattle area, we will, for sure, schedule our stay at "Feather Fight"!!

Totally Loved It!!!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The home was immaculately clean and lovely, and the location beautiful. Our room was amazing. There was a small fridge, Keurig, microwave and teapot with mugs. Our hosts were very helpful and hospitable and provided water bottles in our fridge, along with half-half and sugar for coffee or tea. The breakfast was left right outside our door each morning and was AMAZING. Always fresh and delicious it was above our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and definitely plan on returning to this charming town in again in the future. We highly recommend this B&B to anyone traveling to the Seattle area!

Visit Edmonds

Blessed with sandy beaches, a historic downtown, and the sense of place that makes you stop...breathe... and linger awhile. Welcome to Edmonds!

Getting here is a breeze

Getting to Edmonds is a breeze. Staying is a pleasure. Just 15 minutes north of Seattle, Edmonds can be reached by state ferry, Amtrak, Sounder Rail, bus service, a marina, and a highway system.

We have a year round community theater six blocks away. Much more including Washington State Ferry dock that is the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula. You can catch a commuter train to the city of Seattle or all points North and South. Our property is only 4 miles from the Seattle city line. There are three Costco's within 3 miles. There are more Coffee shops than you can count within a 5 minute drive.

Rick Steves makes Edmonds his home. It is no accident as we are truly a special place unlike any other city or town in the greater Seattle area.
