This lovely space is tucked inside of a beautiful townhouse, which is located on a quiet, tree-lined, residential block; and It is only 6 blocks away from Central Park. The subway station to downtown & uptown Manhattan is located right around the corner (a 2 min walk). This area is located in the center of Manhattan, and has blossomed into one of the HOTTEST areas in NYC... which is HARLEM!! The Social atmosphere in Harlem is Amazing! You must try it Out!!
I am a fun-loving native New Yorker, who enjoys meeting new people. I grew up in Queens, NY by the Beach, and I attended Fordham University, where I got my degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration. I care deeply about my community and the well being of others. I mentor youth from ages 12-16 every Saturday, from September through May.
I love music, so you will often catch me singing or dancing; and I delight in any opportunity to travel internationally. I try to stay healthy by growing herbs and vegetables in my garden (which I share with my friends, family and neighbors). Making people laugh by telling jokes brings me great joy. I try hard to stay happy in a world filled with such pain and violence!
You will enjoy staying with me because my friendly, bubbly and outgoing personality is contagious!!
**One important thing you should know about me is that... I believe in treating others, the way that I would want, and love for others to treat me!!
WELCOME TO NEW YORK... AND ENJOY YOUR STAY!!!
June Broxton purchased this townhome in 2000
I purchased this newly built townhouse for a few reasons, one being because I've always wanted to own property; and another reason is because I wanted to give my child a stable home, with a backyard to run around in. The last reason is because I had heard so much about Harlem and its rich African American History and I was drawn to it. I actually thought I wanted to live in the suburbs; but deep down I am a City girl.
Purchasing this brownstone/townhouse was one of the best decisions I have ever made. This neighborhood had many empty lots and abandoned buildings when I arrived, and it has since blossomed into one of the most Vibrant locations in New York City.
Its rich history will intrigue you to learn more. If, and/or when you come to Harlem you will see, and understand what I mean. And if you stay in one of my lovely spaces, you will get to see how Awesome Harlem really is!!
What made me love this property even more was the quick 15 min commute to my job, which was near Grand Central Station. All you have to do is step outside of the front door of this house and you will see that it is located closely to many forms of transportation in New York City.... buses, subways, metro north, taxis, etc.
If you are looking for convenience to all of the New York City areas, parks and attractions, you need to stay here, because Harlem is centrally located in the middle of Manhattan.
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY & ENJOY YOUR VACATION TO NYC!!
We were looking for a place that was located in close proximity to relatives. Hence, the location was perfect. Since most of our time was spent with family we needed only a comfortable bed and a place to shower. We found just that in June's apartment. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower provided us with ample hot water. Beyond that, the apartment was quite spacious for NYC standards. It was very quiet for sleeping since the bedroom is located on back side of the building away from the street.
June is a very gracious host. She is warm, friendly and always available yet unimposing. She is wonderful! Thank you June.
For those who don't know the area, the apartment is within walking distance of Central Park and Marcus Garvey Park, minutes to the nearest subway station and easy walking distance to wonderful restaurants and shopping. The neighborhood is very safe for walking at night.

Clean and comfortable one bedroom with everything you'll need. The neighborhood is filled with great restaurants, shops, nightlife. The Paris Blues Bar, 4 blocks away, is enough to make your visit to Harlem an unforgettable one. Very close to subways if you want to get around town. June was helpful, attentive, and friendly. She loves people and you will love her.
Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Stayed with our two high school graduates for their graduation gift. So much fun! The hospitality exceeds expectations and the location is perfect for getting anywhere in Manhattan and the other Boros. So close to the subway and other conveniences nearby. Would definitely stay again.
