We enjoyed our stay
We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope that you return next time.
Perfect quiet location!!!
Loved the pool and nature! It is a bit away from everything so come prepared!!! Well worth the quiet peaceful atmosphere! Loved hunting for crabs! Seen dolphins and pelicans fishing right off the deck. Even seen a shark. Kayaked with Mrs. Marrys equipment and worked great (after my husband sprayed it to make sure it had no spiders!) I don’t love nature that much. Don’t forget the bug spray! The tide went up and down like 4 to 5 foot a day so it was so cool! Don’t forget your water shoes. I got them for 5 dollars at Walmart online. The St Marks National Wild life refuge was close and seen several alligators right off. Not to far away either. Overall beautiful trip and beautiful place. I wished I could have wrote in the book but just had too much to do! Thank you!
with a few changes this home can become a 4 or 5 stars very easyly
first let me say that the view was fabulous , full peace an quiet, great sunrise..really beautiful..very nice and helpful neighbors, great swiming pool and a lot to amuse the kids like kayaking .Ms Theresa Whinstead was very helpful , getting 2 new beds for more comfort and extra minor requests..
maybe a new BBQ grill would be nice....but let me say this home is very interesting and i would recomment it!!
Fantastic dream home!
Wish we could have stayed longer. Absolutely gorgeous home and wonderful owner/property manager. Would 100% come back again.
We had a wonderful time at this home. Like the other reviews indicate, this is an older home w a few quirks. If you want modern luxury this is not for you. This home is 30 mins from groceries. This is a home for outdoor enjoyment particularly bay fishing. The views are phenomenal. I loved that the kids could fish in kayaks and we could see them from the house. Caught sea trout and sharks mainly. Saw dolphins, rays, crabs, mullet and sharks daily. On the island we also saw deer and wild hogs. Kids really didn't want to eat out bc they didn't want to leave the house and miss the fun. Took the boat and decided to put in on Shell Point. Nice boat launch there. You are not able to dock your boat at the home due to tides. There is plenty of room to park boat under house or in front. Also took boat up Wakulla river one evening and saw manatees up close. Couldn't find shuttle service but recommend starting at upper bridge if you want to kayak or canoe and take out at TNT launch. Go to Wakulla Springs. This is one of our favorite spots to visit for the boat tour and swimming. We took our own kayaks bc we have fishing yaks. The ones at the house are not that type. We ate at Huttons and the food was really great and they give you a lot of food!! Super nice folks too. Ask to see their crabs. Very educational and the owner spent time to teach the boys about the crabs. Bring bug spray bc this property literally sits a rock's throw from the bay and mosquitoes are bad. Really, for us, this house had it all. We so hated to leave.
Beautiful pool and great fishing!
Our family stay was nice, but they have a lot of maintenance issues that needs to be addressed! My family would recommend working TVs in all bedrooms. (Currently no TVs working in bedrooms)
They need new pillows and some of the beds new mattress, the last thing is they need more patio furniture by the pool they don't have the volleyball net up either. Recommend a deep cleaning of the entire house!

There is a small museum there with some local history. Bike the St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail from Tallahassee to the Lighthouse.
