Located on the glacier-fed, salmon-running Kasilof River, Tundra Bob’s is the cozy cabin that is perfect for the Alaskan Experience. You can have all the peace and quiet that this secluded cabin offers or if you’re ready for adventure you are not too far from the highway or trail that will take you to it.
The interior is brand spanking new but Bob recycled the siding from the original homesteader’s cabin on the site. The wide covered porch offers a great spot to relax and watch the river run and tell fish stories. There is also a partially covered deck with a picnic table and a grill to cook up the day’s catch. A stairway leads you down to the river where you can cast your line.
Stepping inside Tundra Bob’s Cabin, you enter the comfy living and dining area where satellite TV and WiFi are provided. To the right is the completely equipped kitchen and the Mermaid bathroom.
Further Details: Up the stairs to the bedroom where the sound of the running river will lull you to sleep on the queen bed or the twin trundle bed. No matter what room you are in, there are plenty of windows to provide panoramic gazing at life on the river and in the forest.

We stayed in a spacious cabin get-way on the beautiful Kasilof river with visiting relatives! We used the cabin as a base to go sight-seeing and hiking in the area. It was a little too early to catch fish right next to the cabin, but it was ever so peaceful to watch the river go by and the boats floating down stream. We had a hard time leaving the cabin each day as just being in this setting was a remarkable opportunity to be part of a special Alaskan experience whether we were inside or outside the cabin, reading or painting on the deck or hanging out down next to the river viewing the glacier blue charged water. Check it out. A great package of comfort and Alaskan wilderness.
I am very happy to tell friends about this fine get-away on the Kenai Peninsula run by a couple who cared about our experience and comfort. Thank you Gail and Bob for sharing your Alaskan dream!
We stayed at Tundra Bob's for 2 nights and loved it. Went fishing one day with Mark Ledden who is just down the road. We caught 4 Sockeyes between the 3 fishing. We didn't try the shore fishing from Bob's, but I checked it out and it would work really well. The grill and deck are really nice. We would definitely stay here again. The hosts are great and the location is close to Soldotna.
My husband and I along with my sister and her husband stayed here two nights and had a delightful time. The cabin was very clean and well kept and the kitchen was well equipped. The view of the Kasilof River from the cabin was fantastic and we drank it in often. There is good/private access to the river for those staying at the cabin and includes a fish cleaning table. Unfortunately, the reds weren't in yet so we didn't get to use it. The cabin includes a front porch/deck to enjoy the river and a wonderful gas BBQ and a freezer. As noted in other reviews, the hosts were wonderful.
My family (including out of town visitors) has stayed at this wonderful cabin once/summer over the last two years and we plan to continue this tradition. The cabin is clean and done up in a classic "cabin-style". The breakfasts are fantastic, the hosts are wonderful (and they have a great back story for how they came to live on the Kenai so ask them!), the setting is incredible! Our kids love this cabin and our menfolk love to cook their freshly caught fish in the outdoor BBQ area next to the cabin. If you are looking for someplace that is quiet, beautiful, has access to great fishing (there's a guide next door!), and feels like a home away from home, this is it.
Great place to stay. The river is right out the back door and within a short time Eagles were overhead. Nice and quiet. Very clean and comfortable. Even the sofa bed was comfortable.
Great place to stay. Breakfast goodies too good to be true. Warm and welcoming place, well maintained, beautiful views of the Kasilof River. Everything you could wish for and then some. Linens, bed, beyond our expectations. Would definitely return and highly recommend to anyone.
