You never really know what your going to get when you book a vacation rental. What I liked most about the property was the views and seclusion. Beautiful unobstructed view from every window and virtually no neighbors! The home was also very clean, we had a family of 3 and our dog, perfect size for small family. It was very relaxing and comfortable. We did cheat and bring a TV and X-box for the 9 year old knowing the weather was going to be stormy. We ended up having several hours of daylight and clear sky one day and were able to enjoy the kayaks (dog included). If you are into bird watching be sure to bring some binaculars as we saw some very cool water birds. Couple things to note..... I'm glad I brought slippers the tile floor is cold in winter. Also there is little to no outside lighting out front so best handle what ever needs to be handled outside during daylight. The back porch is lit. We had a great time and would love to go back.
Cozy cabin on the water really close to Olympia that provided a great getaway for the weekend. The cabin is clean and has most everything you need. The scenery is beautiful with deer, seals and bald eagles to view made it even nicer. There are multiple kayaks on site available to use which was an added bonus. The sound is close by and as you are paddling toward that direction you have a view of Mount Rainier, amazing!
very quiet little area, but close to everything. Feels like a cabin in the woods, but you can drive to Olympia in 10 min. The cabin is very spacious, the dock is great. the owner has four kayaks in the shed, which was a lot of fun. My family did some fishing. The area is very pretty and peaceful. great little getaway.
Our family stayed at John's place for a few days and it is a great get away, where time moves slower. Good sized place, tucked away off a nice little side road. Very quiet, but also only 20 minutes from Olympia if you want to go into the city or just get groceries. We kayaked and explored the area. John's neighbor was very friendly and informative on the sea life, and the area. We would stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, having everything we needed. The view is fantastic, the location is perfect and the house is very comfortable.
My sisters and I had a lovely weekend here and enjoyed the location immensely. It was stormy the weekend we were there, which made it really feel like we were tucked away. The inlet was really fun, looking up and finding the water gone was surprising but interesting. There were a few things we wished we'd had in the kitchen, but we made several meals over the weekend and were able to make do. The space was comfortable for four adults (plus a small baby), I think it would have been crowded (but doable) with five adults. Very clean and well cared for.
