Originally from Atlanta, myself and my 2 daughters have lived in Belize for over 20 years. I met my husband, (from St. Louis) during his visit in Belize and we have enjoyed all this beautiful country has to offer. We have explored every inch of it and still love seeing more. We enjoy showing off this country to our friends who visit. They see it with such amazement and leave with such great memories. We have a small business that I created about 18 years ago, and now my girls are all grown up living abroad, but every chance they get, coming home to Belize is top on their list.

We bought this property 10 years ago as it was still a growing community. It is safe, and but close enough to the city for nightlife, restaurants, and business. It is close to everything we wanted to see and do in the country, but giving us our bit of paradise. We travel a lot so being close to the airport was a big plus for us. The property is on the mainland which gives you access to everything Belize. Rent a car and explore the Mayan Ruins, Caves, Belikin Brewery and we can offer you a driver if you want to just sit back and enjoy the sites. The home is on a large canal that leads to the sea. The views are gorgeous. Sunrise and Sunset from your bedroom balcony. Some days you'll catch a dolphin, manatee, or crocodile swimming the canal. You can also catch a water taxi do day trips to the islands. The house is private but in a friendly neighborhood. If you go to the local watering hole you'll meet up with some of the neighbors and make new friends, who can give you more insight to new destinations popping up all around the country.
What makes this House unique
When you are looking to explore, your vehicle is in the parking lot waiting for you to jump in and head to the ruins, or all around the country. If you want, a driver/guide can be arranged for you. Stop in at a local hot spot and get a cold beverage. If you desire, a cook can be available for your convenience, also our manager Rene can be available to drive if you just want to sit back and relax.

Good spot to stage to/from airport
stayed here our last night of our trip. Were able to rent a car from the airport and drive from this house to Altun Ha ruins on the morning of our flight. Got to the airport easily, to catch our flight at around 2:00pm.
Very spacious, comfortable, and modern.
For the money this is without question the best vacation property in Belize. I know because I once owned a vacation rental in Belize. At first you wonder where the bumpy roads and older neighborhood might lead you ... then you get to the wonderfully kept home. I highly suggest that if you are looking for a great waterfront place to stay, near the airport, you choose this one.
Thanks so much. I’m so glad you joined us and had a great time. We’d love to welcome you back anytime.

A Great Place To Stay
I visited BELIZE for the first time on 11/24/18 for a week, stayed in this house it was beyond my expectation a great place to stay. Looking forward to next year.if you going to Belize check this place out.
Great location and beautiful home!
We really loved our stay here. We wanted to drive ourselves to the Mayan ruins because we are a family of 6 and couldn’t afford to spend the money trying to ge there from the islands. So we stayed here! It is literally 10 minutes from the airport. 45 minute drive to Altun Ha ruins, and then 2 hours to Lamanai. I HIGHLY recommend you stay here if you want a nice place that is close to those things but still on the water.
We were greeted at the airport by Rene and he led us to the house. It is very close to the airport, which helped to make a long day of travel easier. The property was just as it was advertised. We loved the pool and watching the sun rise in the morning. Having a washer and dryer was a big plus for packing lite. The kitchen had a fair amount of supplies and everything was clean. We enjoyed the eclectic art work and having so many TV channels was great for my husband. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and it was perfect for doing day trips to Caye Caulker, Altun Ha, and Corozal. I would recommend this property to anyone and return without reservations.
Thanks so much for the review and I’m glad you enjoyed our home and explored Belize. There is still so much more to see, looking forward to your next visit. Thanks again

House is nice but very hot.
I have mixed feelings about this rental. Here is the good and the not so good.
Good. The house is nicely furnished, with new appliances, good beds, and comfortable furniture. The pool was great and a must have since it was the only way to escape the heat outside of our bedrooms. The deck around the pool is also nice. The location is remote, down a bumpy dirt road, and usually quiet, with nice views of the water and the sun reflecting off it. The iguanas in the yard were pretty cool to watch as well. There are not too many restaurants in the area, but a new one just opened up: The Rusty Anchor. the food and spirits were quite good and very social.
Rene, the house manager, was very helpful and easy going.
Not so good.
The common area or great room (family room, kitchen, dinning room) is NOT air-conditioned. So when it's hot out (almost our entire stay), the room becomes stifling, even unbearable. We were forced to sit outside or in one of the bedrooms to escape the heat. Outside often wasn't much better than inside, but you did usually get the breezes out there. Granted, we wanted to be outside most of the time, but it really wasn't ever a choice. You couldn't eat breakfast inside or watch a TV show at night, no dinner inside, no planning inside. Everything had to be done outside, because inside the main house was brutal hot.
The curtains on all the windows are shear, so when the sun comes up, you have no choice but to wake up with it. No shades, blinds, or black-out curtains, or any other method to reduce the incoming rays or to help reduce the heat in the house.
The windows on the main floor are all vertical opening and the springs to hold them up are shot. So they would close on their own with any wind movement. This made the house hotter still.
The entire main level is made of concrete, which I assume is the style of the area and in and of itself is fine and easy to clean. However, the main floor is a split level with about a 2 foot drop down from the entry and kitchen area into the dinning and family room area. There are no railings on the stairs or along the drop off. So if you have toddlers or anyone inebriated (toddler like) then watch out; that FIRST step, including around the kitchen island, is a doozey. I think this style may be common in the area, but renters should be aware of this if they have small children. A youngster could crack their head pretty easily.
My 2 cents.
Thank you for your comments. I take great pride in our home and think it is lovely. Belize style, and standards are very different, and having a cement house is essential for hurricanes. During your visit, Belize was unusually hot and humid, but breeze does blow off the water which is why all the houses in that neighborhood do not have air conditioning in the common area. We have fans for your use, and guests just take them outside by the dining table to enjoy their days and evenings out there or spend their days floating in the pool. As you know our manager Rene is always available and he would have gotten you a few more fans if need be. The windows can just be propped up to get the flow of air through the house. Appreciate your comments,
You are conveniently located to explore all of Belize. Just a short drive away, you can go Cave tubing, explore waterfalls and Mayan Ruins, zoo, rain forest and feed wild monkeys. The Belikin beer factory is just minutes away.
Hop on a water taxi, or a small airplane and within minutes be snorkeling at the second largest barrier reef.
Enjoy a canoe trip up the river, you might just see iguanas, or the random lost dolphin.
