Very unique and fun experience. The hosts were awesome, location is great and I would recommend it

Loved The Sea Pearl. Great location, hosts were extremely accomadating. Beds were comfy, it was great. If you are trying to compare this to a hotel, it's not the same. One stateroom has a full bathroom with a shower stall but the second stateroom is simply a bathroom with a pull out sink faucet to use as a shower. Bo need to worry the Marina facilities are exceptionally clean and roomy, so you can always use those if you would rather. We travel in RV's etc so it was nothing new to us. For a unique and fun experience I highly recommend The Sea Pearl. Very fun and comfortable, you can walk almost anywhere you want to go and sitting on the boat with a drink watching the day to change to night was wonderful. !! Thank you Sherry and Deb you guys were awesome!!

Just lovely

  • 5 of 5

Three sisters celebrating a birthday. The setting is just lovely and peaceful.

We so enjoyed the beautiful yacht which had everything you could possibly need.

The bedrooms were very comfortable and we were lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking. We were lucky enough to meet the owners who were very nice. They gave us some very helpful information about this lovely city. We hope to return one day to relive this great trip.

What a wonderful end to an epic 60th birthday trip staying aboard Sea Pearl.

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful, clean, cute, comfy, roomy, fun! Only issue was a shower leak that effected aft bedroom rug which was wet and musty smelling and needs to be fixed and carpet replaced. Other than that I would recommend this experience of a lifetime 100%. Easy to be picked up by Uber from Pier 8 to get to places of interest. There is a restaurant a close walk to pier 6 with delicious crab cakes and lobster!

A wonderful way to enjoy your stay in Boston from a unique perspective!

  • 5 of 5

Besides a few mechanical miscues, which any boat owner knows will happen and to which Deb & Jim responded quickly, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Sea Pearl. The boat is comfy and well equipped. The location is fantastic... quiet, great views, nice neighbors, easy walk to the start of the Freedom Trail, and a short & convenient water taxi or Lyft to the heart of Boston. If you don't get on the water, you just don't get a real feel for why Boston was so important 250 years ago and why it continues to be such a vibrant city today.

We had 3 adult kids with us for the first several days which made it cozy, but also stretched the space thin. It also gave us extra precious time with them we wouldn't have with separate hotel rooms ...also made it more affordable ;-) There are plenty of other ways to spend money in Beantown.

Before, during, and after the stay Jim & Deb were easy to communicate with. They do little things to make your stay special, and have great support from their caretaker, Sherri, who warmly greeted us and made us feel welcome upon arrival with a quick and friendly orientation and recommendations.

Take time to enjoy the time on the boat! We got so caught up in all of our events and touring that we didn't maximize some of the great benefits of being on the water at Pier 8. Quiet mornings with coffee on the aft deck. Evening conversations rocking gently on the bow. Or just sitting on the dock watching the comings and goings in the harbor.

We have used VRBO for many vacations. This stay lived up to expectations that we have developed from so many detail oriented owners. Thank you for making visit memorable!

Nice, quiet marina

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed our long weekend on the Sea Pearl. The marina was nice and quiet and the few people we saw there were friendly. (I believe Deb also rents out the Little Pearl, a 1 bedroom boat docked next to the Sea Pearl.) You are close enough to walk to a few attractions (USS Constitution, Bunker Hill Monument), but we used the water taxi and Uber to visit attractions farther away (other locations along the Freedom Trail) and to go out to eat in the North End and Seaport. For those interested in the duck boat tours, note that Super Duck Tours went out of business Fall of 2016. The original tour group, Boston Duck Tours, is still in business. The Sea Pearl was in pretty good shape. The cleaning lady, Sherry, had written down the wrong arrival time of 6pm, so when we arrived at 3:30pm, the boat had not yet been cleaned. She was quick to get it taken care of and orient us to the boat and marina, but we basically had to drop our luggage and find something to do in the meantime. Deb was very apologetic and we appreciated that. Note there are steep steps to enter the boat and also steps within the boat to enter the bedroom/bathroom areas. There is not much in the way of comfortable seating outside the boat, so we didn't really hang out outside. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would definitely return. Plus, it's just a unique, cool experience!

Boston Harbor Yacht

  • 3 of 5

Great location in Boston Harbor. Quiet and secure. Breakfast restaurant nearby. Bedrooms cramped and hard to access. Little space to store luggage. Used Marina shower facilities to avoid tight space on board. For the most part a good experience.
