Our condo is a superior unit that sits in the middle of the building, allowing for incredible views of Keawakapu Beach as well as the ocean. The interior of 508 is brand new (2014), with bamboo cabinets and granite counter tops in the kitchen as well as both bathrooms. In the master bath there is a gorgeous walk-in shower, while the second bathroom has a new tub/shower. CENTRAL AIR will keep you cool when the trade winds won't. Recessed lighting, stainless steel appliances, two flat screen TV's (with Hi Def cable boxes), free phone calls to the mainland and Canada, free wireless internet, and beautiful local art by local artist/photographer Mark Middelton decorate the walls. We also provide Luxury linens and down (or down alternative) pillows. The lanai has new indoor/outdoor carpeting, featuring a table, chairs, and a lounge to just lie back and take in all the beauty that encompasses the Mana Kai experience. We provide beach towels and you are more than welcome to use our ''toy closet'' for activities on the beach.

This is a great condo, at a fantastic property, with its lush landscaping, beautiful beach, pool, gas grills, great snorkeling, Zacks deli, the great Five Palms Restaurant, Snorkel, Paddle Boards, and Bike Rentals on property. World class golfing is 5 minutes away, and all of this waiting for you at the Mana Kai.

Note regarding Mana Kai Renovations in 2017: The Mana Kai is a premier property in Maui. In order to keep the units at the top of their game, there are times when renovations will take place. In 2017, between April 15th and October 13th, there are more units than usual that are going to be going through various levels of interior renovation. The dates of these renovations vary and are not easy to pin down. Owners and the work crews have general dates laid out, however these dates are not engraved in stone. The Mana Kai building itself is not being renovated, it was renovated a few years ago. The interiors of selected units are being renovated. Noise levels during renovations typically run from low levels to higher levels, depending on the work they are doing that day in that unit. The days that they are removing old tile is when it’s loudest, but this is usually just for a couple of days during a particular unit’s renovation. We don’t have any details on when tile will be removed, just the dates that certain units are affected. The work is only done during daytime hours so most guests are out for most of the day anyway. Because of the renovations, we have added "Construction Specials" to our pricing during the projected renovation periods. You will see these under "Rates". This is an opportunity to get discounted rates on a fantastic condo. If you will be out during the daytime, the impact on you will be minimal. If you plan on napping during the day, you may want to choose a different resort if your trip falls between April 15th and October 13th, 2017. These dates and the work that will be done is completely out of our control, we are along for the ride too. Thanks for understanding.

About The Owner

Mana Kai 508 is owned by our friend, Peter Brubeck. The rentals are handled by me, Erik Simon, and my friend Rick Lindgren. Peter lives in northern California. Erik lives in San Diego and Rick lives in Palos Verdes Estates, California. All three of us know Maui very well and we'll take great care of you.

Why The Owner chose Maui

Why the Mana Kai? That's simple. The Mana Kai has the best view in Maui as well as the best location. It's right on the nicest beach in Maui. We stayed here years ago and knew immediately that the Mana Kai was simply a very special place.

What makes this condo unique

In addition to the large lanai which is great for ocean front dining, the Mana Kai is home to the Five Palms restaurant. There is also a general store with a deli on the ground floor, as well as a beach rental shop with bikes, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment, etc...

Best vacation ever!

We booked 3 weeks in May at Mana Kai, looking for a relaxing vacation just taking one day at a time. It was perfect! The condo did not disappoint. We found small handyman repairs on the first day, that were quickly taken care of and the rest of our stay was without issues. We had everything we needed to eat in if we wanted to cook or barbecue. The kitchen had spices and condiments to use. We had plenty of towels The view every morning was breathtaking and we enjoyed our evenings watching the sunsets. Two nights we were treated to quite an elaborate fireworks display from one of the resorts. 5 Palms, Sorento's, and Monkeypod Kitchen quickly became favorites. The staff at the front desk were helpful and pleasant. Tracey at the Activities desk helped us plan some concerts and transit. She kept gardenias in a bowl for all to take. Nothing like awakening to the fragrance of gardenias and the sounds of the ocean! We had spectacular weather and only returned early from the beach due to rain on our second to last day. This was by far our best vacation and it will be tough to beat!

Excellent property, perfect location in Wailea

We just returned from a one week stay at

MK508 and we were very happy with the property. The unit has an incredable view of South Maui and includes a super wide door that opens the entire room to the outdoors. The unit was clean and fully stocked on our arrival. It looked like a recent renovation, everything was perfect. It included high end beach gear, towels, linens, and start up paper products. There is plenty of drawer space for clothing in both bedrooms and a large closet in the back bedroom as well. The A/C was very quite and helped cool the unit in the late afternoon when needed. This was our first VRBO rental and our first trip to Maui so we were a bit nervous but the HomeAway application was easy to use and tracked all of our transactions. Erik and Peter were great to work with and provided immediate responses to all of our questions. Check in was easy and the unit parking space is right out front. Laundry and elevators are conviently located across the hall and cannot be heard from the room. We would definitely recommend MK508. Quite, clean, nice unit, nice complex, in a really great location. After driving around Southern Maui for a week we think this location is just about perfect.

Location, location, location!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay. We loved the Lanai facing the beach and easy access to snorkeling and beautiful sunsets each evening. The condo has been recently renovated and the decor and furnishings are tastefully done. The location was what really made our experience special with the sound of waves and birds each morning as well as excellent air conditioning when needed. Another extra bonus for us was quick access to Kihei boat launch as we are divers and spent time out at Molokini island. We would recommend the owner consider adding some additional kitchen and beach towels. We look forward to a return visit in the near future!

Great location, great beach, wonderful grassy lawn, wonderful amenities

This condo is wonderful! We stayed 4 nights and didn't want to leave. The condo is equipped with everything needed for cooking and playing on the beach. There were extra towels for showering and the A/C was perfect for July! The lanai is a great size and provides your own outdoor but private place over the pool and beach. The beach and lawn are perfect for swimming and playing. The water is clear and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, playing in the waves (which are great for kids) and the grassy lawn was great for barefoot play. Loved the pool too! The 5 Palms restaurant has great happy hour appetizers for reasonable prices and we were able to walk a couple miles on the beach each morning. You can rent paddle boards right on the property and there's a little grocery store for basic needs. Will stay again!

--Because this VRBO listing can be booked with VRBO's book it now feature, we reserve the right to decline a booking if it leaves us with a number of vacant nights between bookings that we cannot realistically fill with another guest's trip. The book it now feature allows a guest to make a tentative booking before we have been able to review the dates. For example, if there are 10 vacant nights between guests and you are booking all 10, or maybe 9 and sometimes 8, the booking works well for us. On the other hand, if there are 10 available nights and you are booking a number of nights that leaves us with too many vacant nights in that period, we may have to decline the booking, especially during high season. The Mana Kai books almost solid year round, so we try to maximize our occupancy. Thank you.

CANCELLATION POLICY: A $200 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations. Other than that, reservations may be cancelled up to 60 days prior to your intended occupancy date with no additional penalty. For cancellations made within 60 days of your intended occupancy date, your entire payment will be forfeited unless we are able to re-rent the condo. If we are able to re-rent the condo to another guest during your date range, as a refund you will receive the amount that we collect for the new rental. No refunds for no-shows.
