Maalaea Kai condo is a two bedroom, two bath oceanfront condominium located in Maalaea village 70 hau oli st. This very quiet and peaceful village, only 15 minutes away from resort towns of Kihei and Wailea on the south side. The unit is a central air-conditioned oceanfront condo on the third floor, 30 yards from the sea with a beautiful view of the ocean and neighbor. Accommodates up to six persons. All of the tropical decor consists of mostly bamboo furnishings.
Both bedrooms are enclosed. The master bedroom has one king size bed with a full bathroom, TV, VCR, and an oceanfront view. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a bathroom with shower.
The living room has a pull-out sofa for two persons, cocktail furniture, cocktail tables, dining table with chairs for four persons, a large counter bar with stools for two persons, TV, VCR, DVD, fax machine, telephone, and is surrounded by mirrored walls.
The spacious kitchen is fully-equipped with a dishwasher, large refrigerator with ice maker, toaster, coffee-maker, blender, oven, stove, all necessary cooking utensils, dishes, and cutlery.
The lanai has a table and chairs from where you can relax watching whales and listening to the ocean. Maalaea village has a white sandy beach which extends all the way to Kihei for your walking enjoyment.
Beautiful location, was plenty of room for our party of 3, really enjoyed sitting out on the lanai and looking over the pool and right out to the ocean. Saw turtles just out the back by the sea wall. There was some really pretty Christmas lights on the bushes out back by the pool. We really enjoyed our stay while on the Island. Would definitely go back and stay again.
My mom and I just spent a week here. The view is to die for and location very central to Lahaina, Kihei, Wailea and airport. It is always quite windy in the harbor area, according to the locals. November must be the "windy" season! There was one day when it was still. As you drive to other areas it can decrease. The balcony was actually a shelter from the wind. Parking space was a real plus. The grounds and pool were immaculate!
There were a few glitches. No info prior to our arrival as to how to access condo but owner quickly responded to my phone call. No cable or internet access instructions so had to call owner again. Again prompt to respond. There are post it notes on a kitchen wall as to how access internet and phone number to call cable support. The cable box had been unplugged (according to cable support) and had to be rebooted. Be sure to have owners' info handy so you can provide it to support. Just like at home...it takes a while to resolve. I don't know if the housekeeper unplugged something so she could use the outlet or if previous renters did. There were several maintenance issues that I shared with the owner as we were leaving. She had preferred my contacting her earlier in our stay but I didnt want to have to wait for repair men or them having access while I was gone. As a homeowner, I understand how these issues can get away from you when you aren't there.
It would have been nice to have a book or something with instructions it eliminate all the phone calls, although Chris was always nice and responsive, I didn't like to bother her.
Bottom line, we enjoyed our convenient location, the phenomenal view, and overall stay!
My family booked this place last minute but we truly enjoyed it. The view was perfect! The two bedrooms worked out better for us than a hotel with two beds. The owner was very nice and the place was very clean. This location is in the windiest part of Maui but it's also where some of the snorkel companies sail out of.
Great location and view. Christine is very responsive and helpful. The place is quiet and away from the crowd - Maalea Harbor is close by for day trips/adventures.
However, the property needs a makeover - the bathroom does not drain properly, there are ants in the kitchen and new sheets are needed.
The property is in a great location to travel everywhere .Its as central as you can get . Secluded , and away from all noise. Beautiful view from property. We had a great vacation and thank you for sharing your house with us . We will def return . Thank you Christine . ( very informative and helpful Landlord)
We had a really nice time at your condo. Very clean and comfortable for the three of us. The shower in the small bathroom fills with an inch or so with water, doesn't drain properly but no big deal.
We were eating lunch one day on your lanai looking for whales and one young whale repeatedly breeched out of the water a couple hundred yards offshore. We really liked the location , when it was quite windy on other parts of the island we came back and barely could tell it was windy on the lanai since it faces south instead of west. We happened to have friends staying at the Marriott Kaanapali and we spent one day with them they needed to go out at 6:30 am to get a place by the pool or the beach , or no spots would be available. Yours always had lounge chairs available. Also at the Marriott we had to park in a large parking garage not even close to the condo , but your parking space was right in front of your place. I would recommend your condo to friends. Thanks !
