Honeywood Winery – The oldest producing winery in Oregon has created award-winning varietals − including their delicious fruit wines − for more than 75 years.
Redhawk Winery – Enjoy a picnic lunch on an open field as you overlook the beautiful Willamette Valley. The tasting room − featuring a fun and relaxed atmosphere − is open daily 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. year-round.
Witness Tree Vineyard – This winery is named for an ancient oak tree that was used as a surveyor's landmark in 1854 during the Oregon Trail years. The varied microclimates at the vineyard facilitate earlier ripening of the fruit which produces exceptional wines.

Eola Hills Wine Cellars – The famous all you can eat Sunday Brunch comes with two tickets to experience this winery's award-winning varietals.
Firesteed Celllars – Visitors can experience elegant fine wines at the newly remodeled tasting room and retail shop.

Cubanisimo Vineyards – Dust off your dancing shoes and channel your inner moves at the monthly salsa lessons held at Cubanisimo. Celebrate the wine experience Cuban Style!
If you prefer locally craft brewed beer or cider to wine, new places are opening each year. You can sample dozens of local brews at either of the Venti's Taphouse locations - both locations are 5 minutes away and some of the brewers having tasting rooms as well.
Salem also has its share of great coffee shops and restaurants downtown and nearby. You will be hard pressed to find something you don't like at The Wild Pear in downtown (5 minutes away) but get there early. It's no secret that they are doing a great job. Excellent coffee and cake at Gerry Franks Konditorei. You don't really have to know how to pronounce it to enjoy it. Great Sandwiches and Salads at Break Point coffee.. the list goes on and on.

Native Oregonian from this area. Professionally educated in Oregon and abroad but returned to Salem in 1994. Live in the Bush Park neighborhood 5 blocks away and love this family friendly area so close to Salem's quaint downtown restaurants, theaters and shopping which are truly walking distance away, or a very short 3-4 minute car trip.
Joseph purchased this house in 2012
Convenience convenience convenience! We live and work in this very neighborhood and know first hand how convenient and desirable a location it is. Less than a 5 minute drive to Willamette University, Salem Hospital complex, Downtown Salem and the State Capitol. Also a 5 block walk to the 90 acre urban Bush Park with its Rose Garden, Art Barn, Historic Bush House and a soap box derby track.
Centrally located in the Willamette Valley - this is only an hour away from Portland, and Eugene, and Corvalis.
A 5 minute drive to the scenic Minto Brown-Island Park which is adjacent to the Willamette River where you will find miles and miles of excellent paved biking and walking trails or the River Front Park on the Willamette. A new bridge connecting Riverfront Park and Minto Brown-Island Park is under construction and will make access by foot or bicycle even easier.
Walk or bicycle across the amazing foot bridge where a train once shuttled residents from West Salem to Downtown Salem. This is the best view of the Willamette River in the Salem area on the north end of Riverfront Park
Location. Location. Location. The five star reviews speak for themselves, but the convenience to downtown Salem and the central location in the Willamette Valley make this property ideal for any visit to this beautiful Oregon. Excellent base for trips to the Stunning Oregon Coast, the beautiful Oregon Wine Country, or day hiking in Silver Falls State Park. Close to great restaurants, parks and quaint neighborhoods in Fairmont Hills, Bushes Pasture Park and downtown Salem.
Thank you so much for letting us rent your home in Salem. It is a beautiful spot and was perfect for us as we moved our daughter into Willamette. Now that we will be more frequent visitors to Salem, we will rent again!
We stayed here as part of our vacation. Owner has taken great care to ensure our stay was good as it could possibly be. Great communication and information provided on the rental making the stay as carefree as possible. Good location with easy access to everything we needed. Owners attention to detail and upkeep of property makes this one of the best VRBOs we have stayed in.
My husband and I stayed her for a week in May and were delighted with the home. It is well-appointed, conveniently located, neat, clean, and charming with a lovely, guest-friendly back yard. We can't wait to visit again!
We stayed here for our daughters wedding in Independence, the location was perfect. The house is very clean, up to date and comfortable. I was in charge of baking her wedding cake and was a little nervous, but the kitchen and oven worked out great, the cake was perfect! The owners were very responsive to all my inquiries. Will defiantly stay here again, if you are looking for a Salem rental...look no further, this is it!
Has some of the feel of my grand mothers house from the 1950s but with all the modern appliances. The Best Little Roadhouse and that was within walking distance, the White restaurant for breakfast across the street from the roadhouse. Nice backyard for relaxing outside. Would come back and have recommend to others already.
This home was perfect in every way for our family. Centrally located for quick trips to visit relatives and friends. Clean and cozy - a home away from home. So happy to have found this gem - we will be back!
Our family of 6 really loved the features, the updates to the kitchen and baths were especially nice. The Aerobed was comfy and so were the other beds. It was well stocked with the sundries e.g.: shampoo, dish/bath soap, spices, plates, cups, kitchen utensils. The location was perfect, as we had a Rehearsal dinner at The Best Little Roadhouse and that was within walking distance. The stairs to the 2nd floor was a little steep, but we got used to them. Overall a great abode for a family vacation. The owner Joseph was very responsive to the email requests. I hope to stay there in the future
Oregon's Famous Wine country begins on the outskirts of Salem a very quick 15 minute drive away. Sample amazing cheeses at the Willamette Cheese Factory on your way out.
