We recently added ceiling fans in three of the four bedrooms and replaced the one in the living room for improved comfort on those warmer days and nights. Also have a window fan in the fourth room for improved comfort. These were suggestions from a few past renters, they talked, we listened. :-)

My name is Jeff and my Wife is Julie.
Both of us were born and raised and have lived in Maine for some 40+ years now. Married for 24 years. :-)
We live in the Central Maine (Wateville) area to be exact.
We have one Son and he is 21 yrs old, he is currently attending Maine Maritime Academy located in Castine Maine. To say we are very proud of him is a slight understatement.
We also have a golden retriever and he's an awesome dog.
We love the Katahdin area and mostly spend our time up there in the winter months believe it or not (snowmobiling).
That area is our favorite for snowmobiling.
Jeff and Julie B purchased this house in 2013
My wife Julie and I purchased our place along with friends in 2013 mainly for snowmobiling in the Katahdin region and really love this area and the people. We quickly realized the uniqueness of the Katahdin region and also realized we own a nice place MANY other could enjoy as well as the area.
Well, our place is VERY comfortable and has everything it needs to make anyone on vacation feel like there aren't having to work too hard to have fun and rest.
There are two bathrooms at our place.
We added a deck to the back of our place where the BBQ grill will be placed.
Also added a new bathroom to the main floor as well as a granite island in the kitchen.
We feel these additions will certainly set our place apart from others out there and our renters will be quite pleased with what e have to offer.
With a dish washer along with a washer and dryer down stairs in the basement it's nice to be able to get what needs to be done right on premise.
Our place is close to town (under a mile) yet close to Baxter and the surrounding beauty the Katahdin region has to offer.
This house is on a quiet street in Millinocket, ME (although I guess most streets are quiet) and was a perfect "base camp" for our day trips into Baxter State park. The house was clean and the 3 of us each had our own bedroom with ceiling fans which came in handy since it was a little warm by Northern Maine standards. I will definitely rent here again on my next trip to Baxter State Park (hopefully soon!). The owners were very quick with responses to any questions we had or information we asked for.
I spent almost every summer in Millinocket as a child and was excited to bring my family up for my cousin's wedding. My family of 5 and my parents stayed at this house. There was plenty of room for 7 people and we could have fit more. The bedrooms were great size with plenty of space. The downfall to the bedrooms were they got really hot during the day and there are only ceiling fans to cool you down (we traveled with our own window fans thankfully).
The house has been clearly redone as it is very clean and nicely done, especially the kitchen. I was making the tiered wedding cake and sheet cakes for my cousin's wedding and the counter space was great, especially the new granite island. I traveled with my own kitchen tools to make the cake, however the kitchen here is lacking utensils and bowls if you don't bring your own. We made our own dinners in most nights and there was no can opener either! It would be great if they added some essential tools for those who want to cook in, such as a rubber spatula, serving spoons, and a can opener! The size of the appliances were great and there was plenty of room to move in the kitchen when we made a big family dinner. (If you have never been to Millinocket, you do need to eat in often as there are not many restaurants, which is nice!)
The location is great...you are in town, near the two grocery stores and the few shops. It took us only 25 minutes to the main gate of Baxter State Park and about 12-15 minutes to Millinocket Lake, Ambajegus Lake, and North Woods Trading Post. The neighbors are quiet and it is nice being on a dead end street.
We would stay here again if it was available when we return next summer.
My husband, mother and I stayed in the house. This house was perfect and met all of our needs. I was impressed with the neighborhood and all the friendly people. It was very quiet and peaceful. House met all expectations and then some. Since my brother and his 2 sons live in Millinocket, I'm sure I'll be staying here again.
Had a great stay at Camp Katahdin!
House was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Jeff and Julie were great "hosts". Cute decor that made us feel right at home! Thanks for the great atmosphere! Would definitely stay there again!
As soon as we walked in the door, we knew we would have no problem staying here. The house was immaculately clean and welcoming. The bedrooms were very comfortable with the aid of the ceiling fans. We had a blast while we were there.
Thanks again to Jeff and Julie for lending their home to us. We will definitely consider using them again at a later date
Our family of 5 spent two nights at this property. It was very clean and accommodating. Conveniently located for our whitewater rafting adventure with grocery store, restaurants and more close by, the house is on a dead end street in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of space for us all. It was wonderful to finish our tiring day on the river with a nice comfy home to relax in. Only down side was 1 bathroom but we knew that going into it. Just took a little adjustment for our family being used to 2 bathrooms. :-) We would definitely recommend and use this property again! Thank you Jeff and Julie!!
