Nestled between the clear blue waters of the Emerald Coast and the 1,995-acre Deer Lake State Park is a retreat ready to welcome you and your family with open arms. Part of the gated, amenities-filled WaterSound® West Beach community in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Lotus By The Sea gives you instant access to a plethora of all-ages activities that you can take advantage of throughout your stay. So go ahead, drop your luggage off in the mud room and head back out to the winding boardwalk that will take you directly to the white sands of the Gulf coast. Salt water not your thing? Take a leisurely, half-block stroll over to the spacious, zero-entry pool and make camp there for the day. You can also hike the trails or have a picnic in the park, brush up on your strokes on the 12-hole putting greens, or relax and drop a line in the community’s fishing pond. The choice is entirely up to you.
But we understand that you might want to get settled in your home first. Even though it was built in 2014, the first thing you’ll notice is the rustic charm of the exposed wooden beams and customized woodwork throughout the halls of the house. We think that the bright, natural colors will truly brighten up your day, too.
Travel down the first floor hall and you’ll find the Master Suite, complete with a large king bed, flat screen TV, his and hers sinks, and a spacious walk-in closet. Also on the ground floor is the living room that opens to a large, modern kitchen with commercial-grade appliances scattered throughout. It’s perfect for entertaining and feeding all the hungry mouths after a long day of outdoor events. Don’t feel like making a mess? Simply head down to the communal, outdoor grill and fireplace in the neighborhood’s commons.
Upstairs offers fun for the whole family. First, there’s a second master room with a king bed, flat screen TV, private bath, and a private balcony to take in the beautiful park view that this home has to offer. Bickering between the kids will be minimized, as each of the beds in the clever little bunk nook is equipped with its own flat screen television and reading light. There is also a full bedroom with two full-size beds and another private bath. So go ahead, extend the invitation to your extended family. There’s plenty of room – and plenty to do – when you stay at Lotus By The Sea.

We had a wonderful time here and enjoyed the comforts provided for us. It truly felt like our home. The kids loved the bunk area (and TVs) of course. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the overall experience here was awesome. We were very blessed to have found such a beautiful place to spend quality family time together. Thank you - we will look forward to returning many times.
Beautiful home. Comfy beds. The proximity to the pool was perfect and the beach is unbeatable!
If you're looking for a private beach home this is the place! The house is in the very back of the neighborhood right across from the community pool and private boardwalk to one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. Our family of 6 had more than enough room to spread out. The bunk area was a big hit with our 11 yr old son. We thoroughly enjoyed the park like setting of the neighborhood and all the winding paths for our morning walks. It's hard to find any cons to this home. We have been coming to Florida for 20 years and this by far was one of our best trips. The only thing we missed was waking up to a beach view, but everything else made up for that. The staff of invited home was amazing and very helpful if we had any questions they answered them immediately. THANK YOU AGAIN! #BESTVACATIONEVER
Very well done. No complaints. Only positivity. Could have been clarity on the booking - price quoted from one booking group then somehow I booked thru another which added fees and that was disappointing as we were on a job and a budget. The home was perfect.
Lotus by the Sea was the perfect home for our family. The beds were average, but comfortable, the location couldn't be more perfect, and upon arrival the home was extremely clean and well set for our arrival. On one of our last days at the house, the dishwasher broke. Unfortunately, throughout our stay the ice maker was not working properly so we frequently had to go to the store to buy ice. The amenities were great however the sound system throughout the house (which was a great perk) did not work properly, we found it difficult to connect out devices to the system through the network via bluetooth - it would have been helpful to have a more straightforward system and more info on how to operate. Wifi, TV, all worked fine throughout the house. Overall the experience was wonderful and aside from a few small issues, management handled all of our requests and issues with top notch customer service. We are planning to come back same time next year!
Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Lotus by the Sea. We have two small children (4y, 6y) and found the home a generous size for the four of us. In addition it was the best stocked home we've stayed in. It is clear the the owners have gone out of their way to provide beyond just the basics. The beds were quite comfortable, and the floor plan allowed my husband and I to enjoy our evenings with little concern for waking our children in the room they shared upstairs (the one with 2 twins). As great as the home itself was, the location made our stay even better. it was an easy walk across the street to the zero entry pool, and an easy bike ride/walk of four boys to the beach (about 5 min, but they never complained!) I had been concerned about the lack of outdoor shower at Lotus, but the shower at the end of the boardwalk made beach clean up easy, and, most days, we went straight to the pool after rinsing off the beach sand. We enjoyed our stay at Lotus so much that we reserved a week for this fall in the middle of our stay and were saddened to find it already booked for the week we needed next summer. We can't wait to get back!
PROS: I chose this home from the pictures online and the proximity to the pool and beach access. We were happily impressed with the decor and overall amenities of the house. Tall ceilings, long windows with lots of light, and beautiful local photography and art throughout. Great kitchen with everything you need to cook several meals. The home has a bluetooth speaker system inside and on the back porch which was really nice. This house is across from the pool, just a few steps. It's on the end of the street furthest from pool which turned out to be ideal as there was construction of boardwalks behind the pool the duration of our stay and this lessened the noise and traffic. The houses in this neighborhood are all so cute and the boardwalks throughout make it feel quaint, but some are very close together. This house has a buffer on the left side of trees, an empty lot to the right, and no houses directly behind it. There is one house adjacent to the back porch but still plenty of vegetation to enjoy while sitting out there. The pool was ideal for our 2yr old as it has a zero entry side where she wanted to play all day. The pool is very well maintained and has nice amenities like changing rooms and showers. There is a putt putt green across from the house which we would have liked to used, but forgot to check at pool house if they rent clubs and balls there. The walk to the beach is very short, perhaps 8min tops if you are leisurely strolling. We enjoyed the natural beauty of the lake and the dunes on the walk.
CONS: the access to the beach would definitely be of concern if you have mobility issues, or several small children (toddlers and babies) to carry. The boardwalk is a breeze and you can ride bikes down it and park them before the sand begins. But Deer Lake runs in front of the access and has expanded so much that you have to walk under the ropes that protect dunes next to a steep drop off into the lake. The lake is too deep to wade across so forced to walk on dunes, then cross the next door private beach, back to the left to the neighborhood's beach area. We made the walk a couple times with toddler and beach buggy in tow. It's definitely possible but some people would be put off by the trek. A homeowner said the Dune lake is continuously changing shape & route. We went to Deer Lake Park next door one day just because they have a ADA accessible boardwalk directly to the beach.
Overall lovely house, neighborhood, pool, & beach!
