About Pamela Ehtee
Dick and Pam owned a home at Lake of the Ozarks, Mo when they decided to start traveling the country in their motorhome in 2010. They then placed their Missouri home with Homeaway as a vacation rental and were very successful, receiving all 5 star reviews for their venture. Dick was born in Eastern Washington and was familiar with the Olympic Peninsula so they decided to visit and fell in love. Having traveled most of the 48 contiguous states looking for the perfect place to settle, they decided that Port Angeles/Sequim area was it! They wanted a place with a view where they could put their motorhome and have a small house for guests to visit. They found it after meeting a couple at an Olympic Cellars Winery concert who referred them to this little blue house just down the road from where they lived. After receiving directions they drove up the next day and WOW, it was just perfect!!!. They lived in their motorhome with hook ups to the site and were able to enjoy entertaining at their new little home as well as having a wonderful place for guests to visit. They built the wonderful deck and expanded the park model bedroom to allow for a queen size bed. Pam is a crazy gardener, so she had a blast transforming the yucky front yard into a beautiful garden paradise. After 3 years living here, they decided that it was time to move into a "real" house, so they bought their neighbors home, two doors down. They love it here and don't ever want to move elsewhere. They hope you will love it too as they have decided to share the experience with you.

Why Pamela Ehtee chose Port Angeles
The view is fantastic!
What makes this Cottage unique
What's not to love about the Olympic Peninsula? The weather is mild. The scenery is fantastic. The outdoor activities are endless. The serenity is healing and the beauty awesome. This property included all of those features. The view of the Strait and watching the cruise ships and cargo ships go by all day and night, plus watching the eagles and red-tail hawks, seagulls, quail, deer and many other birds and wildlife just made this our perfect place.

Perfect for our month in Port Angeles -
Pam and Dick's little house was perfect for us. We stayed for a month over the Christmas and New Year's Holidays, making day trips to many of the destinations on the Olympic Peninsula. The house is nicely set up with the necessary kitchen utensils and fixtures, a comfortable bed, and a nice fold-out couch where occasional guests slept well. The view is excellent. On the giant deck there is a propane fire-pit that Dick built where we spent several happy evenings. Pam and Dick are excellent hosts and were very attentive to our needs without being intrusive. They even invited us to a New Year's Party at their nearby house where we met many of the neighbors. We would give a SIX star review if we could. Port Angeles is a welcoming town with everything we needed to be happy. Don't miss a visit to Agnew's store.
Thank you sooo much! Hope to see you again!
The view was awesome and the house was charming.
The deck was fantastic and I enjoyed spending my time watching the water and the hummingbirds!
Thank you for your review, however, I would appreciate knowing why you felt a five star rating was not warranted. Please share any suggestions that would have made your stay better. We strive to provide the best possible amenities and service.
A perfect getaway
As a tired and overworked administrator I was seeking a quiet place far away from the stresses of my work. Two weeks on the Olympic Peninsula proved to be the best medicine for what ailed me. Pam is a wonderful hostess, and could not have been more thoughtful and helpful. Her “tiny house” has huge vistas, friendly neighbors (including deer and hummingbirds who came visiting daily), and easy access to the natural wonders of the Olympic National Park, the Hoh Rain Forest and Cape Flattery. Victoria, British Columbia is only a short ride on the ferry that runs daily from Port Angeles. A bonus for me was easy access to the Olympic Trail, only two blocks away, for my daily morning runs. If there were an option to rate with more than five stars I would readily select it. We had a wonderful time. I can recommend “the tiny house with a giant view” without reservations.
Thank you so much! We love hearing that you had a great time. Hope the feeling lasts.
View beyond belief!!
Clean, neat, well appointed cottage.
Everything we needed for a perfect trip to Port Angeles!
Perfect vacation getaway
First of all, the view from the deck is even better than the photo. Pam was a wonderful host. She greeted us the first day with fresh plums and tomatoes from her garden, brought a bouquet of flowers another day and was always available if we needed anything. The flower gardens around the property were beautiful. We loved the location. We spent several days hiking the trails in Olympic National Forest, spent a day driving to and hiking the coastline, took a ferry to Victoria, BC(don't miss Butchart Gardens if you go), and took one day to just relax. We picked lavender and blackberries just a couple miles from the property.
We chose to eat out in the evenings but really enjoyed having breakfast and sometimes lunch at the cottage. Sitting out on the deck was so peaceful, watching all the birds and enjoying the fresh air. We would highly recommend staying here.
Thank you Joyce! So happy you had a good time. Comeback again soon!
Awesome views amazing time
We had a great time at eagle's rest!! It has everything you need to create a gourmet meal and sit on the patio with nothing but views. We had such a wonderful time. We will be back. We also had plenty of hot water. Our hosts were very welcoming we highly recommend eagles rest!!!
Thank you so much Anita. We look forward to seeing you again.
We are located within walking distance of the Olympic Discovery Trail which is a fantastic hiking and biking trail that extends for miles in either direction. The Olympic National Park Hurricane Ridge is a 45 minute drive with many trails and fantistic scenic views. The Coast portion of the Park is only an hour or two drive as well. Beautiful Lake Crescent with Marymere Falls is a fantastic day trip and a must do. Charter fishing for Salmon and Halibut out of Seiku is available. Don't forget your passport. A ferry trip over to Victoria, BC is a wonderful day trip as well. See Butchart Gardens or have high tea at the Empress Hotel. Outdoor activities abound here in our area. Watching eagles and other birds can be done while relaxing on our beautiful deck. You don't have to go far to enjoy our beautiful piece of heaven.
