Great stay at Marsh Brook Camp
Three of us stayed at Marsh Brook Camp for several days in October. Camp is very nicely furnished, comfortable, very clean, and a classic camp atmosphere. Porch nice sitting spot to enjoy the lovely view. We enjoyed fly-fishing in the Margaree and visiting the nearby Dancing Goat Cafe for breakfast and lunch. Bald eagle sightings daily on the road into camp.
Hugh was very helpful with information about the area.
We highly recommend Marsh Brook Camp!
The perfect place to stay to enjoy Cape Breton!
Whether you are planning on hiking, fishing, ATV, Snowmobile, or hunting, I would recommend Marsh Brook Camp. From the scenery to the camp itself, we enjoyed everything about our week long stay!
Elmer was extremely helpful and made sure our expectations were met everyday. We received several emails from Hugh & Pamela giving us helpful hints and even a keepsake at the end of our visit.
We will definitely be returning to Marsh Brook Camp! Thanks Hugh!!
Welcoming and relaxing stay
My daughter and my Corgi dog and I stayed here for 3 nights and we all loved it. From the moment we stepped in to the cottage, we felt welcome. The furnishings were definitely a cut above. The kitchen was stocked with good coffee, lots of cold water in the fridge, high quality pots and pans, crystal glasses, butter, honey, olive oil, condiments, spices, etc. so we didn't have to scramble to go out and buy a lot of things to make breakfast and other meals. The beds were very comfortable and there were thick towels in the bathroom. The lovely deck has gates that close at each end, so my dog was safely confined but still had freedom to run around on the deck. We were sorry to leave and would have loved to spend ore tie there. We would definitely like to go back and stay there again.
Pleasant and Peaceful
We spent three nights at Marsh Brook and really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is clean and well-kept. Very cozy. We all slept very well. Our first day, we drove to the beautiful beach at nearby Inverness, our second to West Mabou Beach. We visited the Glenora Distillery and enjoyed daily excellent coffees at The Dancing Goat. Leading up to and during our stay, if we had any questions, Hugh was always quick to respond and extremely helpful. Five stars.
The camp was fantastic, pictures don't show how great this camp is. Every convenience was provided.
Great stay, and a really happy place, would highly recommend it.

Beautiful view, beautiful location
Our stay at the Marsh Brook Camp was everything we hoped for. The instant we stepped foot into this charming camp, we knew we chose the right place. Hugh and Pam pull out all the stops to make this THE place to stay if you are visiting the Margaree area. The camp was spotless upon our arrival. Elmer, the camp caretaker, was am amazing man. Extremely friendly and even providing some potatoes and wax beans for our first meal at at the camp. His wife Martha was also amazing, entertaining us with her fantastic guitar playing during a power outage. I can't say enough good things about the Marsh Brook Camp, and if we are ever back in Cape Breton, we will definitely be staying there.
