This house is our newest addition to VillaRosa Vacation Rentals. This elegant townhome is situated in the Historic Carrollton District of Uptown New Orleans. The house contains 3 bedrooms and 2½ bathrooms, with a gorgeous courtyard and a large balcony patio, making it perfect for events. It is also 2 blocks from the St. Charles streetcar, making it easy to get to all the best attractions of New Orleans.
Our house is also a perfect location for wedding guests or graduation parties. The 1st floor has the living/dining room, a large kitchen which opens into the TV room in the back, plus a beautiful brick and slate courtyard with a soothing fountain.
On the 2nd floor, the master bedroom has a king bed, walk-in closet and master bathroom. The guest bedroom has two queen beds and is situated right next to the guest bathroom. There is also a laundry room with washer, dryer and sink.
The 3rd floor loft is often the favorite of our guests! With a king bed and a trundle daybed, there is space for plenty. And the best part is that the 3rd floor bedroom opens onto a spacious balcony, where you can put your feet up in the hammock, or sip on a cool refreshing drink and laze around.

I moved to New Orleans in 2008 for my job. I looked everywhere in the city for a place to stay. I knew that I loved the New Orleans courtyards and that I wanted to be in the city and close to the action. After looking up and down St Charles Ave, I still hadn't found THE place - you know, the place you fall in love with immediately. And I found that as I got further and further Uptown, it was quite a long distance from the French Quarter and Downtown CBD.
But one day, I was driving with my mother to the top of St Charles and we decided to continue onto Carrollton Ave. And that's when we found it! I immediately fell in love with the house, the courtyard and the balcony. Being a big cook, I loved the spacious kitchen. The house, even though it was modern, had an Old New Orleans feel that I loved. And to top it off, while I was extremely close to Uptown and the Garden District, I was also very close to I-10 and could easily get to downtown and the French Quarter! The rest, as they say, was history!
I know that you will fall in love with this property (just like we did) and I also know that you will want to return again and again to “Make Our Home Yours”!

House was better than pics can show. Stayed here to visit family and enjoy some Mardi Gras, but found ourselves so comfortable that we didn't want to leave the house! Easy transaction and even extended our stay by one night so we could come in early! Can't explain how wonderful this visit was and we definitely plan to come back! The property had all of the amenities that we expected.... and then some! It was much larger than it appeared in the photos. We traveled as a group of 8, but 10 people would have been more than comfortable. Our daughters really enjoyed having the third floor and balcony to themselves. The home was clean and well-stocked with essentials. We all bragged about how well we slept- the beds were extremely comfortable and the area was not at all noisy. There was plenty of seating for everyone, a well-stocked kitchen, and more than enough towels. We brought our own toiletries and purchased toilet paper/ paper towels when we arrived. It was no problem because the property owner let us know ahead of time what was available (a starter roll of all paper products) and what wasn't. There is a washer and dryer as well, which was very convenient. The house is located in a safe neighborhood with easy access to the entire city. It actually made us want to try new places and new activities outside of the French Quarter. There are several food options within walking distance, and it was only a mile or so from the zoo and Audubon Park. I-10 was also within a mile, so it took little time to get to other parts of the city. Uber rides to the French Quarter were around $15 for 4 people, cabs were around $20 (with tip), and the street car is also nearby for $3/day. Even with a large group, we all had the privacy we needed. I highly recommend a stay in this house- it will make your trip to the Big Easy.... Easy.
Great home! The pictures do not do this property justice! Nice get away and much better stay outside the craziness of Bourbon Street. Outside area is fantastic and quite. Comfy beds! Great showers! Fully stocked kitchen! Much bigger than the pictures show. Only thing was that when we checked out and put the garbage and recycle to the curb, it said to use the large green recycle bin and the black bin, but there was only one bin....and that was green, no black bin. No other neighbors had a black bin either, so we figured putting out the one green bin was everyone does. I would stay here again and again if going back to New Orleans!
Our family loved staying at this lovely home! The pictures on the website do not do it justice! All the rooms are spacious with high ceilings. The bathrooms are modern and well appointed. The courtyard and upper deck were very nice - but because of the rainy weather we did not use them as much as we would have liked. The location is ideal for New Orleans. Off street parking is a wonderful benefit in the city as well. We will definitely stay here again!
We spent half a week here and found it perfectly met our needs for a convenient base from which to visit New Orleans attractions. Everything was clean and in good order, with many common and private areas for hanging out. 3 floors is a real plus!
We stayed here before departing on a cruise. The house was perfect for us! The area has a safe feel to it and is within walking distance to Walgreens and the streetcar. We used the streetcar and uber and both worked well for us. The bedrooms are situated so that talking, etc in the house is not a problem for the sleepers. I will definitely rent this property again!

These rates also apply to all holidays (see above). Holidays require 3-night minimum stay (Christmas, New Year's, Easter, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving). Mardi Gras requires a 5-night minimum stay and the rates ($600/night) are for the Friday before Mardi Gras through Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday.
VillaRosa - New Orleans is our newest addition to the VillaRosa name, in the Historic Carrollton District of infamous New Orleans, Louisiana. The Big Easy, as this city is called, is a veritable melting pot (or gumbo pot) of cultures - from France, Spain and Europe to Haiti, the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. The origin of Jazz, New Orlean's music culture is alive and well today, with live music in every corner. And it's not just jazz that you'll find in this city: blues, funk, rock and hip-hop and many more feature. To top it off, New Orleans cuisine is like no-other, with abundant seafood, Cajun and Creole specialties at every corner, you can prepare to have your tastebuds tantalized.
Our house is just a mile away from historic Oak Street, with famous Jacques-Imos restaurant and live music from the Maple Leaf Bar (go there on Tuesday nights for Rebirth Brass Band!). And literally a few block down the street is infamous Rock 'N Bowl, where you can go for excellent live bands, family fun, bowling, and even Cajun Zydeco dance nights!
If you want to explore Uptown and/or head into downtown, you're in luck, because our house is 1 block away from the end of the St Charles Streetcar line. Ride the line for only $1.25 ($3 for the day), or get a Jazzy Pass for the duration of your vacation. Along the St Charles Streetcar line from our house, you'll find: Camellia Grill, New Orleans Daquiris, historic Uptown homes, Audobon Park, Tulane University, Loyola University, Superior Seafood, Columns Hotel, Delachaise Wine Bar, Lee Circle, and of course, Bourbon Street at the end, just to name a few!
