Rocky Mountain National Park House Rental Photos and Description

House, 8 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 4 Baths, (Sleeps 0)

If you want an extraordinary mountain home in Estes Park that is perfect for families and has tons of room (not to mention absolutely stunning views)... look no further. We are now booking for summer 2017. Contact owner directly with any questions. 757-879-5439.

OVERALL HOME: With over 6600sqft in living space, this log style two story home is one of the largest and nicest rental homes in all of Colorado. It is situated on over one acre natural lot with trees, rock outcroppings, and abundant wildlife. It is on a paved street and has a large paved circular driveway. Including the master suite, it features 8 bedrooms, 4 baths, 3 living/sitting areas, 2 fireplaces, outdoor fire pit, a game room, over 2400 sqft in decks, and yes… even a one-of-a-kind indoor basketball court!!!

THE VIEWS: The house is situated right at the base of the continental divide and is surrounded by panoramic views of Twin Sister's (13,000'+), Long's Peak (14'000'+), and the continental divide itself. Most of the view is of Rocky Mountain National Park peaks.

THE BEDDING SET-UP: Yes... eight bedrooms! Enough for everyone to have their own. And they are all very nice size...all larger than the average bedroom and all with larger than average closets. The bedrooms feature the following bedding set-ups all with themed décor that match native animals in the park including master(king), elk(king), bear(king), bear cub(2 twins), mountain lion(queen), trout(queen), moose(queen) and bunk room.

THE MAIN LIVING AREA: The huge professional kitchen features granite counters, maple wood cabinets, double oven, professional series separate refrigerator and freezer, desk area with wireless internet, and a unique outdoor kitchen (10’ by 10’ upper deck with built-in 8ft stainless steel grill – just outside the main kitchen through glass French doors). The main living room features lots of open space with comfortable furniture, a billiards area, a nostalgic winter sports décor, and a large screen HDTV/fireplace/200+ DVD library all built into a dramatic slate wall.

SPECIAL FEATURES: The over 2400 sqft+ in decks (three upper and two lower connected with a wood bridge) feature an outdoor ping pong table, a large hot tub, wood/log furniture including gliders and swings, and 2 picnic tables. Also outside is a very nice horseshoe court, and a 1800's rustic trail wagon. Other features include a 2.5 story atrium with bear water fountain, a 2nd living room with fireplace, up to 4 bathrooms, and a two car garage.

INCREDIBLE MASTER SUITE: 1000sqft master suite is It features the master bedroom (with king bed, built in TV, desk, sitting area, and 2.5 story ceiling), a deluxe wet bar (with granite counter, double sink, small fridge, and maple cabinets), an amazing master bathroom (with huge garden tub and large extended tiled area with 4 shower heads), and a private deck (with log swing).

THE WILDLIFE: And despite the excellent all around qualities of the home, the best feature may just be the wildlife. Sited on the property have been coyotes, foxes, marmots, ground squirrels, black bears, and literally hundreds of birds and mule deer. And of course too numerous to mention... the herds of elk. As a matter of fact, over 50 elk were counted on the property at one time (actually multiple times!).

About The Owner

We are a family of 5 and we love to be active and surrounded by nature. Wether it be the mountains, ocean or the desert, we enjoy visiting new places and meeting new people.

The Owner purchased this house in 2011

Why The Owner chose Rocky Mountain National Park

We visited Estes Park in 2011 and decided we eventually wanted to live here. An opportunity arose for us to purchase a home. We decided we had to have a piece of paradise for ourselves.

What makes this house unique

Simply one of the best locations in one of the most beautiful mountain towns in the country, The home is located between the downtown of Estes Park and the main entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The setting is natural and park-like itself with abundant wildlife passing through year round. Even with limitless outdoor activities in the area, there are also extensive activities in the house including: ping-pong, billiards, and over 2000 sqft in decks with views that are just plain stunning!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We came to the Reichle's mountaing cabin to celebrate life and our 50th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren. We appreciated the fire pit, the hot tub, all the games/activities and the Awesome views! Thank you so much you were so kind and cooperative.

Great space for a large family!

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family of 14 had planned a visit to RMNP for almost 2 years and at the beginning of our planning we chose this property. It was just what we needed! Great location! Tons of room to spread out! Tons of fun activities for the kids (of all ages) when we weren't in one of our adventures! We also appreciated the first floor accessible master suite for my parents as my mom uses a walker. This worked out great for her and she was very comfortable.

The views were Fantastic and we could see the mountains from almost every window and every deck. We loved winding down at the end of the day by sitting in the hot tub or by the fire pit in the deck with smores. We even saw some elk and mule deer on the property!

The kitchen had everything we needed and we ate dinner at the house every night which was extremely convenient. The big dining room table had room for everyone to sit together which was a huge bonus. It was also great having 2 living room spaces and enough bathrooms for everyone!!

Julie (owner) was very responsive and we were able to reach her easily by phone/text. We didn't have any problems but she still make sure we were comfortable and called a few times to ask if she could help with anything.

The location was awesome-5 minutes from the park, downtown Estes, and horseback riding. We would basis it again in a minute!!

This house was perfect for our 3 generation family to help celebrate our 50th anniversary. We were with our 2 sons, their wives, and our 6 grandchildren ranging in ages from 13 - 20. The house is exactly as the pictures shows, but when actually there everything looks even better. We especially loved sitting around the fire pit on the deck together and taking in the extraordinary view of the mountains with the changing skies. We also loved the Great Room where we could all be together fixing a meal, watching TV, and playing game after game of Pool. The kids loved the basketball court and played many games of Horse. The Game Room and Sitting Room downstairs gave them time to themselves. There was more that enough room for all 12 of us. The dining room table let us spend some meals all eating together. It is beautiful. The house is decorated perfectly in the National Park theme. Julie was available to answer our questions. We would recommend this house to anyone. Julie and Steve, thank you for providing us with this perfect house for our family vacation.

My family had a Great time here! The house was everything and more than what we hoped for. It's very close to Rocky Mountain park entrance, had great views, lots of wild life to be seen, great deck and hot tub to relax after a long day of hiking. We also Loved the game room! The house is very well kept and Julie was great with communicating with me. If I needed anything she was able to help. I highly recommend this home :)

This is a great home, in a great location and beautiful views. You will not be disappointed !

This was our 3rd year in a row to enjoy a family vacation in Estes Park at this incredible home. There are 17 of us in all ranging from 11 months to 86 years old and everything in between. It is the perfect set up for all ages. Plenty of space, plenty of entertainment, and spectacular views from the spacious decks.

Once again the wildlife was plentiful. We had Elk and Deer in the front yard under the trees everyday. The location is excellent, right near the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park, and also close to Fun City and Estes Park's main street.

The property itself is set up perfectly. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, the Master suite provides some "separation" from the others and is great for older parents because of the privacy it provides, the accessibility to the walk-in shower etc. My 86 year-old Dad stayed in it again this year which gives him an "escape" from all of the grandkids ! It has it's own private deck also.

All in all, this is definitely a 5-Star property, with a 5-Star location, with 5-Star owners that provide excellent service. I would highly recommend this property for a wonderful vacation in Estes Park !

We celebrated a friend's 50th birthday here and things could not have been more perfect. For starters Julie (the owner) is one of the most responsive VRBO owners I have ever communicated with. She was patient, answered all my questions throughout our decision process, provided ample information to assist us in making our decision and even after we chose this property and were in Estes Park, she was responsive, even to little not so important inquiries. She is truly concerned that the guests who stay at her property have a 5 star experience and we sure did. The house is AMAZING, from the mountain décor to the stocked kitchen, available games and things to do. The fact that most of the bedrooms have a theme was very unique and the details of the rooms, long basement hallway, living rooms were wonderful. We enjoyed every square foot of the house but really enjoyed the HUGE dining table that seats 14 which allowed our group to all sit down to dinners together. The decks and views are breathtaking even though we couldn't enjoy the decks as much as we would have like due to snow. We hope to go back each year or maybe every other year.

Great corporate retreat setting

  • 4 of 5

The company I work for has an annual meeting scheduled offsite. We have stayed at this property three times now. It is one of our favorites, there is room for our large party to have our individual space but common areas as well. The kitchen is well stocked with everything that we needed to prepare our meals. We made use of the basketball court every night. This house is a great location, very large home with beautiful views and an abundance of wildlife.
