Estes Park House Rental Photos and Description

House, 8 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 4 Baths, (Sleeps 0)

If you want an extraordinary mountain home in Estes Park that is perfect for families and has tons of room (not to mention absolutely stunning views)... look no further. We are now booking for summer 2017. We have only 3 weeks available next summer- 5/27 to 6/3, 8/19 to 8/26 and 8/26 to 9/2. Contact owner directly with any questions. 757-879-5439.

OVERALL HOME: With over 6600sqft in living space, this log style two story home is one of the largest and nicest rental homes in all of Colorado. It is situated on over one acre natural lot with trees, rock outcroppings, and abundant wildlife. It is on a paved street and has a large paved circular driveway. Including the master suite, it features 8 bedrooms, 4 baths, 3 living/sitting areas, 2 fireplaces, outdoor fire pit, a game room, over 2400 sqft in decks, and yes… even a one-of-a-kind indoor basketball court!!!

THE VIEWS: The house is situated right at the base of the continental divide and is surrounded by panoramic views of Twin Sister's (13,000'+), Long's Peak (14'000'+), and the continental divide itself. Most of the view is of Rocky Mountain National Park peaks.

THE BEDDING SET-UP: Yes... eight bedrooms! Enough for everyone to have their own. And they are all very nice size...all larger than the average bedroom and all with larger than average closets. The bedrooms feature the following bedding set-ups all with themed décor that match native animals in the park including master(king), elk(king), bear(king), bear cub(2 twins), mountain lion(queen), trout(queen), moose(queen) and bunk room with two sets of bunk beds for a total of 18 beds.

THE MAIN LIVING AREA: The huge professional kitchen features granite counters, maple wood cabinets, double oven, professional series separate refrigerator and freezer, desk area with wireless internet, and a unique outdoor kitchen (10’ by 10’ upper deck with built-in 8ft stainless steel grill – just outside the main kitchen through glass French doors). The main living room features lots of open space with comfortable furniture, a billiards area, a nostalgic winter sports décor, and a large screen HDTV/fireplace/200+ DVD library all built into a dramatic slate wall.

SPECIAL FEATURES: The over 2400 sqft+ in decks (three upper and two lower connected with a wood bridge) feature an outdoor ping pong table, a large hot tub, wood/log furniture including gliders and swings, and 2 picnic tables. Also outside is a very nice horseshoe court, and a 1800's rustic trail wagon. Other features include a 2.5 story atrium with bear water fountain, a 2nd living room with fireplace, up to 4 bathrooms, and a two car garage.

INCREDIBLE MASTER SUITE: 1000sqft master suite is It features the master bedroom (with king bed, built in TV, desk, sitting area, and 2.5 story ceiling), a deluxe wet bar (with granite counter, double sink, small fridge, and maple cabinets), an amazing master bathroom (with huge garden tub and large extended tiled area with 4 shower heads), and a private deck (with log swing).

THE WILDLIFE: And despite the excellent all around qualities of the home, the best feature may just be the wildlife. Sited on the property have been coyotes, foxes, marmots, ground squirrels, black bears, and literally hundreds of birds and mule deer. And of course too numerous to mention... the herds of elk. As a matter of fact, over 50 elk were counted on the property at one time (actually multiple times!).

Events: Please be aware that we have lots of 50th wedding anniversaries, retirement and other celebrations. We also have many families celebrating weddings stay at our home. Please be aware that we are not allowed to have weddings or other events where others are invited to the home. We will allow a family to have relatives come for dinner but that must be requested when booking. The Town of Estes Park currently regulates parking so we are only allowed to have 3 cars in the driveway and 2 in the garage for a total of 5 cars. Please feel free to call or email with any questions. We will do our best to accommodate you.

About The Owner

We are a family of 5 and we love to be active and surrounded by nature. Wether it be the mountains, ocean or the desert, we enjoy visiting new places and meeting new people.

The Owner purchased this house in 2011

Why The Owner chose Rocky Mountain National Park

We visited Estes Park in 2011 and decided we eventually wanted to live here. An opportunity arose for us to purchase a home. We decided we had to have a piece of paradise for ourselves.

What makes this house unique

Simply one of the best locations in one of the most beautiful mountain towns in the country, The home is located between the downtown of Estes Park and the main entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The setting is natural and park-like itself with abundant wildlife passing through year round. Even with limitless outdoor activities in the area, there are also extensive activities in the house including: ping-pong, billiards, basket ball court, air hockey, hot tub, and over 2000 sqft in decks with views that are just plain stunning!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We came to the Reichle's mountaing cabin to celebrate life and our 50th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren. We appreciated the fire pit, the hot tub, all the games/activities and the Awesome views! Thank you so much you were so kind and cooperative.

Terrific vacation home with views, amenities galore

  • 5 of 5

This property is located very close to the entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park, and has spectacular views from virtually every room. The house was very well equipped for a large group, the bedding was very comfortable, and there were plenty of "toys" for our kids of all ages to enjoy throughout the week.

The owner was very attentive and informative.. Our group enjoyed lots of hiking, a horseback trail ride, golfing, and walking the downtown.

This is a high recommend house for large family gatherings or groups of adults looking to share a special vacation home.

Beautiful home. Perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

To sum up this property in one word: WOW! Perfect for a family reunion. We rented as two couples. With the 2 king bedding rooms upstairs we both had sufficient privacy. Great location to the park. But if the weather is rainy the home boasts ample games and family fun activities. The home is equipped with all the cooking gear you need. House is clean and well maintained. Back deck fire pit wasn't working so the property manager came by with a new one. Lower level spa was heavily chlorinated, however that was reasonable per the prior guests being a family reunion. Wildlife comes to visit every evening in the back. Such fun to see the deer and elk. This was our favorite rental over the 6 years we have come to Estes Park. We hope to rent it during our stay next year.

Perfect for our family reunion

  • 5 of 5

Our family gathered from all over the U.S. to enjoy a week together in Estes Park. The Park Entrance Lodge was perfect! We enjoyed the view from the deck at all times of the day & night. The location boasts a beautifully dark night sky so stargazing is lovely. The spacious kitchen was a great gathering spot as each family group took turns cooking for the rest of us. The large dining table was busy at all hours of the day & night for meals, games, dominoes and crafts! We appreciated the ample supply of china, glassware and utensils & filled the dishwasher often. The bedding & towels, kitchen & cleaning supplies, instructions, & suggestions were all most helpful. We enjoyed trips into the national park for short hikes, a scavenger hunt, horseback riding, and even an hour with a professional photographer for some special family photos.

The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished, with lots of fun Bear and other wildlife accents that helped to make it feel a world apart from the city-life we left behind for a relaxing vacation.

There are so many activities to enjoy without leaving the house! The pool table was a big hit with all ages & abilities! We brought a DVD with line-dancing lessons and had everyone from 12 to 80 yrs old practicing their dance moves in the large living room - around the pool table, through the kitchen and back! Ping pong was fun for hours and horseshoe tournaments entertained the guys.

Bring your own portable speakers & satellite radio or CD player for music. Bring coat hangers to roast your marshmallows (& hang your clothes) and bags of ice to keep up with the needs of a large household.

Our host provided a map of the layout of the 8 (!) bedrooms and 4 bathrooms to help us in making bedroom assignments. If you have folks who can't manage the stairs, they will appreciate being housed in the bedrooms on the main floor. The lower floor almost feels like a dormitory with many unique & comfortable bedrooms off of a long hallway. We were all family, so the shortage of bathrooms was easily accommodated; couples sharing the space might find it a bit awkward.

Limiting the number of cars allowed in the driveway took some planning, but it is understandable from the neighborhood's perspective. We were visiting at the very end of the summer season, and found the neighborhood to be very quiet.

Our week in Estes Park was filled with great times and made for many wonderful memories.

Best House in Estes Park!

  • 5 of 5

We have been to Estes Park several times and this was by far the best house we have stayed in! There were 15 of us (ages 1 to 80) and there was something for everyone. The location was perfect. Very close to the RMNP entrance and beautiful downtown Estes Park. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The basketball court/game room was a big hit with the younger kids while the adults enjoyed the pool table, ping pong, hot tub and my personal favorite, the fire pit overlooking the beautiful, majestic mountains!

The owner, Julie, was very attentive and even called several times to make sure we had everything we needed. We are looking forward to planning another family reunion in Estes Park and making Park Entrance Lodge our temporary home again!

The Park Entrance Lodge was everything we hoped for.

  • 5 of 5

We had a marvelous time at the Park Entrance Lodge this past July. We had a large group of extended family and loved getting together at the end of the day to share dinner together. The kitchen was fabulous, one of the best, well stocked kitchens I've had the pleasure to cook in. The view was breathtaking. We were so lucky on our last day at the Lodge to see six elk with two calves wonder through the yard. Thank you to the owners for sharing this little piece of heaven.

Great space for a large family!

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family of 14 had planned a visit to RMNP for almost 2 years and at the beginning of our planning we chose this property. It was just what we needed! Great location! Tons of room to spread out! Tons of fun activities for the kids (of all ages) when we weren't in one of our adventures! We also appreciated the first floor accessible master suite for my parents as my mom uses a walker. This worked out great for her and she was very comfortable.

The views were Fantastic and we could see the mountains from almost every window and every deck. We loved winding down at the end of the day by sitting in the hot tub or by the fire pit in the deck with smores. We even saw some elk and mule deer on the property!

The kitchen had everything we needed and we ate dinner at the house every night which was extremely convenient. The big dining room table had room for everyone to sit together which was a huge bonus. It was also great having 2 living room spaces and enough bathrooms for everyone!!

Julie (owner) was very responsive and we were able to reach her easily by phone/text. We didn't have any problems but she still make sure we were comfortable and called a few times to ask if she could help with anything.

The location was awesome-5 minutes from the park, downtown Estes, and horseback riding. We would basis it again in a minute!!
