Lovely and cozy property with a nice old world charm. Nickolay is a friendly and warm host. We enjoyed our stay.
Basic housing at basic cost.
We liked our stay very much. It is an apartment in the bottom floor of an old house. The rooms were large with high spacious ceiling. The kitchen supplies were ample however the fridge was a 3 foot college type. So a gallon of milk takes the main shelf and forget about a large round pizza. The street is tightly packed with cars but there is a doublewide driveway if you park on some grass. It was very quiet for so many houses.
The only complaint is the bathroom in a bedroom. Move the door to the empty kitchen wall is a answer. Overall a good value
Quite spot near hectic NYC
As a European, I was impressed again (after having visited SF, Atlanta and Miami) how middle class is impoverished, how whole communities are being neglected. Taking the bus at the SI Ferry is not a problem, but have that MetroCard at hand. The house is located near a bus-stop, but at night, everything, really everything and everyone is quite quiet, and you will sleep well enough on well enough mattresses. The unit consists of two bedrooms, of which the smaller one gives way to the bathroom: no problem for families, but if you go there with couples, accessing the bathroom is better organized before someone scares the sleepers at night. The central area can sleep two more people, but is in fact more like a kitchen, with enough of everything you might need, and a dishwasher that does the job as it should. We had (in April) all kinds of weather, the heating managed 69 deg. F. all the time. There is a store nextdoor, managed the "Latino way", but again, you will not be bothered by noises, except in the morning when the store is supplied. The TV works fine, with the classic ABC, NBC and CBS, and a few other stations, but no CNN or PBS. We stayed here for 2 whole weeks, and I don't regret in at all. If in need, call Nicolay and he stands in the hallway at your service.
I would rather have had heat then WiFi!
Apparently you have to give at least one star, it doesn’t deserve that. This property is below subpar. 2 space heaters was the only source of heat. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling. The fireplaces were boarded up, a window was boarded up. The curtains barely covered the windows. I’m not sure if we should report him to the housing authority or the fire department. I’m not sure what HomeAway’s vetting policy is but they and the owner should be ashamed of themselves that this property is available for rent. I believe I’m due a complete refund and know that will never happen. I am completely disgusted and disappointed in this whole experience.
I have a few curtains to choose. Just please let me know if you would like to replace anything.
Unfortunatly I have no fireplace for the property.

The property was not as shown on the website. No air ,no heat and no towels to bath .windows dnt l
Not happy with the stay at all ..no air ,no heat ,no towels to bath and the windows didnt lock and the window was also cracked......

It was more spacious than expected and so convenient too!!! We had several commodities of a home.
Nikolay was quick to reply to inquiries and he had plenty of towels and sheets. Nice floor plan to separate guests on rooms and had the kitchen / dining area in between. Parking was a huge plus. We enjoyed our stay very much.
