*55" flat screen TV with SMART technology (Netflix, Apple TV compatible) in the living room and TV's in BOTH bedrooms;

*New air conditioning unit;

*Open concept living & marble flooring throughout;

*Two sets of French doors open to a balcony furnished with a bistro set and electric BBQ with amazing ocean & marina views;

*FREE dedicated high speed internet (no sharing with other guests!!), cable TV;

*FREE underground parking;

*A well equipped kitchen complete with 6 major appliances – dishwasher, stove, washer/dryer, garburator, and fridge with built in water & ice dispenser;

*Two bathrooms - one with a walk-in/walk out shower ideal for guests with limited mobility;

*Professionally laundered linens and towels - meaning you don't wash them when you leave and you can be assured they are clean;

*A “starter kit” beyond toilet paper and garbage bags is included. For example, a starter kit of organic shampoo, conditioner, hand soap. Laundry soap, dishwasher soap, aluminium foil, plastic wrap, parchment paper, cleaning supplies, paper towels, Kleenex, sugar, coffee whitener, and 6 Keurig coffee pods are supplied!

Long Term Rentals Inquiries

We welcome long term rentals. Our serviced apartments/suites include weekly linen and towel changes, all utility costs (i.e., internet, cable TV, electricity, heating, & water). Our suites are fully furnished with cutlery, crockery, linens and towels, and in suite laundry. You are given direct contact with the owner should any issues arise and we are happy to provide recommendations for local restaurants, attractions and activities. We offer similar amenities that hotels offer, but with the space, comfort and privacy of home. Please don't hesitate to contact us.

We are Helen and Al, lifetime residents of Nanaimo. In fact, our family boasts the fact that we were one of the twenty-three founding families who settled way back in the 1800's. We have always enjoyed our beautiful harbor and Newcastle Island, and want to showcase everything Nanaimo has to offer from the windows of our beautiful suite.

Great Location!

Spotless, well-equipped and great décor. We really enjoyed our stay and the balcony was an added bonus. Owner Helen made us feel welcome and was very helpful. Beds are super comfortable. Nice suite layout and interior. Lots of windows and light. Very nice place to stay in downtown Nanaimo.

Immaculate, well-furnished condo

This two-bedroom condo was in perfect condition and was beautifully furnished. The location was good being situated on the waterfront between downtown Nanaimo and Departure Bay, with two good restaurants in walking distance. The owner was very helpful and was easy to contact. The only reason we did not give 5 stars was because it took us some time to get use to the noise from the adjacent marina, the nearby sea-plane base, and the highway leading to the ferry terminal.

Great location, nice views, perfect interior

We stayed two nights at the end of our three week tour through B.C. and the stay was the perfect end to our trip. Nice views on the harbour and Newcastle Island. The apartment has everything you need and more. The apartment is new and very well maintained.

Clean, comfy and great view

Al and Helen's condo was perfect for our little family! We had absolutely everything we needed, this place is fully stocked (including providing some baby items for our little guy). We also loved the view and how spotless it was. The best part about the condo was Al and Helen. They were sweet and patient with us when we missed multiple ferries and the check in time was delayed. As well, Al popped over an extension cord within minutes of us asking for help getting the (electric) bbq going. We would absolutely book here again!

Harbour side Apartment

Apartment was great, owners were friendly and accommodating, since we had a new baby and needed to be flexible with check in and check out times. Location was perfect for the view, and close to sea wall for walking access to DT. Would and have stayed again.

• KAYAKING and FISHING: Within walking distance you will find Alberni Outpost for kayak rentals, as well as two public boat ramps. In your kayak, explore the changing erosional features of the coast, paddle into the sandstone caves known as the Malaspina Galleries on Gabriola Island; overcome with awe by those colourful sandstones. From the boat ramp, step into your boat charter, and go fishing for the day. Clean your harvest right on the dock. With your catch in hand, walk back to your residence and immediately cook your catch on the BBQ or in your gourmet kitchen.

• PICNIC, SWIM, or BIKE: You can do all these activities while enjoying the pristine views of Newcastle Island, a Provincial Marine Park with hourly ferry nearby. At low tide, watch dry land appear between Newcastle Island and the neighbouring Protection Island.

• EXPERIENCE A FLOATING PUB: Visit Protection Island, with ferry service till late in the evening. Stop for a meal at the Dinghy Dock Pub, offering great food, live music or fish right through the dock!
