Waterfront Home with Magnificent Views

Bedrooms 4
Space 3,500 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 7 nights

About the property

Secluded and peaceful waterfront estate outside of St. Michaels.

A converted barn with luxury finishes is the perfect spot for your vacation on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

Surrounded by water and farmland, the Jane Lowe barn is a 3,500-square-foot private property. The home is situated on a three-acre stretch on a protected inlet, nestled between St. Michaels and Tilghman Island.

Discover the serenity of the Chesapeake Bay, watching blue herons, bald eagles and osprey from your front window. Cozy up and watch the birds and fish, crab or sun from the floating dock. Kayak, play lawn games and watch the sun set from the beach or living room. In the summer, cool off in the 50-ft swimming pool (open until the end of September and shared with the farmhouse on the same piece of land).

The house has everything you need; areas to lounge, nooks to read, a massive game room with a pool table, poker table, foosball, and board games, flat screen TVs for shows, movies and satellite WIFI for internet and four large bedrooms for 6+ people to sleep comfortably. Eat, drink and entertain with the help of a professional Wolf stove and flattop, a barbecue, decks, and balconies.

Downtown St. Michaels and all of its attractions are very close, as is Easton.

Away from it all!

  • 5 of 5

The barn has all the modern conveniences you would need. The game room was a big hit with the family. We used the kayaks everyday. The Wolf stove was awesome to cook our meals on. Heather was great to work with. Our only complaint.....can't think of one! Loved this place!

Would love to return!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic long weekend in this location/house. It is so peaceful out in Wittman, and the house was cozy for watching movies, looking out on the water from the comfy couch, or using any of the wonderful bedrooms. We didn't use the game room, but did play one of the games we brought with us (Rummikub) on the large dining table downstairs. The host was amazing...she noticed that I left my Kindle (!) and mailed it to me. The service of the whole experience was top-notch...they provided a lot of the toiletries that you would not find at a 5-star hotel (hello...women's shaving cream and razors!), the kitchen had a lot of the staples you would need, but would not want to buy for a short stay. The internet was a little spotty for streaming movies, but they do have DirecTV, so just plan accordingly. Highly recommend!

Great place to get away from busy life

  • 5 of 5

Met family at the house for Labor Day Weekend 2016. The house and property met all my expectations! The house was clean and had all the cooking utensils/ware that we needed for the entire weekend. Large TVs in the living room and game room were great for watching the opening weekend of college football. The best part was the outdoor area. It was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. I've also never seen such beautiful sunsets as the ones we watched from the dock each evening. I would definitely go back again!

Absolutely perfect getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of five (7, 3, and 6 month old) and we had the most incredible time! It was absolutely perfect getaway for us getting out of city. The frontyard view was stunning. It rained for one day but it did not bother us as there was a huge game room. Our kids loved exploring outdoor. We will definitely go back!

Beautiful location, super cool house, great time!

  • 4 of 5

We went here to celebrate our one year anniversary. We also stayed here in January 2016 so this was our second visit. Such a beautiful property, close to town, relaxing...really everything you could want. Only suggestion would be to bring extras of paper products (TP, paper towels), dish/laundry detergent. Maybe we use more than the average people but we've run out on both visits.
