Beautiful, relaxing oasis

  • 5 of 5

We loved the peace and serenity of this cabin! My husband and I spent 3 days in quiet contentment. The cabin is beautiful and fully furnished/stocked with everything you need to relax. The deck overlooks the lake and gives you a great place to check out the stars at night. We spent an entire day ice fishing! My favorite part about this experience is no tv!! There is nothing to distract from the the gorgeous surroundings. Kris is amazing! Her directions and instructions were easy to follow. We will definitely be back!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review glad all was good in the cabin. Yes I have thought about a TV but it is a waste of time when you can enjoy the outdoors and the company you are with. Hope to meet you two this summer, you are a cute Couple! Aloha

Beautiful view and awesome hosts!

  • 5 of 5

I traveled to my hometown with my three sons ages 3,5, and 10 and we had a wonderful time at Kris's property. She was very accommodating and even let us use her fishing poles! We caught three good sized trout off of the dock and we are sad to leave.

Amazing honeymoon getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and enjoyed every (long) minute of it! The endless summer daylight didn't phase us (there are some dark curtains), but we were so tired from adventures we had each day, we konked out quick. Although the drive to anywhere is long, they were well worth it. VERY quiet and peaceful, took the paddle boat out and saw a mother moose bathing in the lake, and also saw a mother duck guarding her duckling :) Very clean cabin, kept warm with heaters, fully equipped for a week's stay, or even months. Convenient store and fuel is within a short drive to the highway, otherwise Wasilla (the nearest full town) is a about 45 minute drive.

Kris is a great host, very responsive and provided us with helpful information for our stay.

Some fun things during our stay included a drive up north to Talkeetna for a Glacier Flight up to Mt. McKinley and landed on a glacier, Talkeetna is also a nice little town for souvenirs and great food (and great Razzy's!, raspberry cinnamon rolls), we visited the Reindeer Farm in Palmer and also rode horseback, took a train to Whittier and boarded a glacier cruise (that was an all-day trip), spent time in Anchorage for some great food (Alaskans have plenty of discretionary income and know how to spend it - on food!) - Moose Tooth is great, enjoyed a free concert for the summer solstice and 100 year Anchorage anniversary, drove around Willow looking for moose (found tons in the early morning before dawn). Best of all, we visited a local animal shelter (Mat-Su) and rescued a 9 week old Alaskan Husky-Lab mix We named him Moose :)

All in all, we enjoyed this getaway tremendously and would come back in a heartbeat!

Thanks Kris for the wonderful adventure on our honeymoon!

Great quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place for couples and small families who are looking for a secluded and relaxing place to stay. The cabin had everything we needed and was private and clean. The lake was a lot of fun with the provided kayak and paddle boat. There are not many places to eat or attractions close by but that's what we liked about it.

Very relaxing cabin on a beautiful lake

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay over a long weekend. The cabin was cozy, comfortable and clean. It was very rainy our first day so we spent most of the day inside. The second day we enjoyed some fishing and had a lovely time at the campfire. It was nice to have plenty of dry wood.
