Luxurious 4 Bedroom Mountain Estate with Gorgeous Ocean Views

Space 5,500 sq. ft.
Property type villa
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Villa, 4 Bedrooms + Attached Unit, 3.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

Beautiful Ocean and Mountain views.

This modern, 5500 square foot villa, has everything you need to have a truely relaxing and memorial 'real' Costa Rican vacation away from the crowds. Secure, private, and relaxing. Located on 60 acres of your own lush jungle paradise.

Perfect for families, friends, or couples that just want to 'get away from it all' and enjoy.

The two story house has an oversized master bedroom on the upper floor with an oversized California King bed. The master bath, with tub and shower, is stunning. 3 sets of beautiful teak double doors open onto a complete wrap around balcony, perfect for stargazing and viewing the lights of the valley below. AIr conditioning is included for those who wish, but with the doors open and the fans on you'll sleep like a baby. There is an office desk and wifi for those who feel the need to keep up with the outside world.

The second and third bedrooms, though smaller, are equally as comfortable, with queen sized beds, air conditioners, and access to the balcony.

The second bathroom which has a huge walk in shower, is located here.

The fourth bedroom is located downstairs, and also has a queen sized bed and air conditioning. A full sized handicap accesible bathroom is attached.

A half bath is located adjacent to the kitchen.

We are 100 % solar hot water heated! And unlike properties located on the beaches we actually have very good water pressure.

The kitchen is modern and well equipped, with marble countertops, and a gas stovetop and electric range. All necessary appliances, plates, silverware, etc. are included. The stainless steel dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer will keep you going.

The dining area is quite comfortable with two tables that sit four each, and a bar with two stools.

The living area is also quite comfortable with two couches, a chair and a 42 inch flat screen TV with cable, stereo and DVD player for your viewing pleasure. That's if you can drag yourself inside long enough to watch something, as most guests just want to be outside at the pool area.

The bottom floor double doors open onto a complete wrap around deck and the beautiful infinity edge pool. The pool has a built in waterfall, swim jet package, and sun shades installed for swimming rain or shine. It is the perfect place to watch the sun rise and set while enjoying the views with a cup of coffee or a toddy in your hand. There is ample seating on the deck for intimate conversation or partying with your friends. Jump in the pool or catch some rays on our comfortable reclining lounge chairs.

If your party is extra large there is an adjacent managers apartment that we sometimes rent out for an extra fee. Though not as extravagent as the main house, it is quite comfortable with it's own kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and huge deck.

We can also arrange transfers to and from the airport in San Jose.

Attractions: Being midway between the two largest beach towns on the Pacific offers many advantages.

Jaco and Quepos offer the best restaurants and nightlife on the coast. Manuel Antonio the best beaches and coves. Los Suenos Resort and Marina, the best in all Central America, includes a world-class marina and championship golf course. The brand new marina in Quepos, Marina Pez Zela, along with Los Suenos, make this area one of the most wonderful bases of operation for sports fishing and snorkeling in all the world.

Adjacent to the estate is Sky Mountain Canopy, which boasts the highest, longest, and best zip line in all of Costa Rica. Paid admission to the canopy tour includes beautiful hiking trails and a real nice waterfall. We can walk, drive, or ride the horses to the waterfall. There is also a wonderful waterfall with 3 different pools (Tres Pilas) at the base of the hill. It is an easy drive and easy hike to these falls.

For those wanting to experience the real Costa Rica without the crowds there are six different beaches just a short half hour drive from the estate.

Some are perfect for swimming and some are world class surf beaches. All are great for picnics, walking, and watching the sun set. Playa Palo Seco, just outside Parrita, and Esterillos to our west, both have several little resorts with wonderful restaurants for memorial sunset dining. Parrita and Playon closer to the hill have many very good Tico restaurants for those who prefer the local cusine and culture.

We offer the use of our Toyota Prado Landcruiser (7 passenger) including driver, for only $150 per day (compare that to Budget or Alamo $150 per day w/no driver). You pay only for the days you need the car. You also pay for the gas. We will take you anywhere you wish to go. If you are comfortable driving yourself we rent the vehicle for $75 per day and show you how to get to where you are going. We have maps and a GPS available. If you have a larger group, we can arrange transfers with a very reliable local driver in a very nice 10 to 12 passenger air conditioned van.

We know a lot of cool places to go and you just sit back and relax.

Driving in CR can be quite the stress-filled adventure, especially at night.

We offer our SUV and driver as an alternative to you having to rent a car.

A few reasons this works for some people:

(1) We pick you up and drop you off at the airport, no hasseling at the car rental

(2) We usually know where we are going, lol.

(3) Bless their hearts, the ticos are the worlds worst drivers

(4) Many of our guests tend to enjoy the nightlife and CR has just recently enacted very stiff DUI penalties so the guests would prefer to just sit back and enjoy the ride. You also just pay for the car the days you use it.

We can usually get you a more affordable rate on transfers locally then you can get on your own.

When you decide on the exact dates we will send you a rental

agreement. You execute the agreement and send it back to us.

We require a 50% deposit forwarded to us.

When the funds are posted your rental date is confirmed. The balance will be due , and payable in US$ funds upon your arrival in Costa Rica.

Email us back and leave a call back number should you have any further questions.

Talk to you soon.

Keywords: Thank you for your inquiry into our vacation rental house, villa, estate. Our guests tell us they see more wildlife during their stay here at the estate than any of the tours they go on. It is a birders paradise and a wildlife lovers dream. There is usually a plethora of butterflies, birds of all kinds, monkeys, iguana’s, and other wildlife for your viewing pleasure. We have stables with 5 horses here on the estate and the younger people really enjoy hanging out with the herd. The estate is in the mountains a 30 minute drive to several beaches. Much closer to the estate there are several waterfalls and a major river. The estate is 25 minutes to Parrita, which is then 20 minutes to Quepos or 30 minutes to Jaco and 2 hours to the airport in San Jose.

Our whole family stayed with Randy during Spring Break this past March (2017) and we had an AMAZING time! I would highly recommend staying at the Casa and working with Randy! Randy worked with me for over a year getting plans aligned and making sure our trip was just perfect! He really went above and beyond and gave us an experience we will never forget. Randy uses a group of trusted individuals that he set us up with for tours, excursions, personal cooking, messages, etc. And ALL of them were fantastic! If it wasn't for Randy and his group we wouldn't have had the experience that we did!We always felt well cared for by each of them and really had a blast! The property was beautiful and was very accommodating for all of us. Even our 18 month old loved it! Especially the horses and the baby chicks...which she had to go out and see at least 8 times a day. The views are amazing and you will love the wild life that you are able to see each day. I HIGHLY recommend this Casa and Randy! He was an amazing help and addition to our trip and really made it a success! Because of Randy, we will be returning back to the Casa for future family trips!

Simply Breathtaking!!! Brought tears to my eyes!

  • 5 of 5

There was 9 of us total- all family and our first time to CR- It was a truly amazing experience. The casa was better than described, well maintained and absolutely spotless. The manager/owner- Randy was on site and treated us like royalty. If there was even the smallest problem...he was on it. He also arranged and advised us on excursions. We enjoyed the local zipline/waterfalls, sunset tour with snorkeling, sightseeing in Jaco, horsebacking riding on property, Manuel Antonio with guide, estuary fishing and amazing meals on and off property. A favorite was waking early to the jungle sounds and watching the monkeys swinging overhead. I highly recommend this casa to all ages. Note: the road up is a little rough- but definitely part of the experience....and besides...the view is from the TOP.

Beautiful! A perfect Coasta Rican Experience

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time staying here! Randy is an amazing and very accommodating host. We had some travel delays getting to Costa Rica and Randy helped us figure out how to get to the house, even though we were almost 24 hours late. He even arranged for someone to pick us up and drive our family to the house. We didn't get in until 3:00 in the morning, but Randy was there with a smile to help get us settled in and get our vacation off to a great start.

Staying up in the hills of Costa Rica was an amazing experience. We made a few excursions during the 3 days we stayed at the house, but some of our best times were spent relaxing by the pool and enjoying the beautiful home and the amazing views.

We had 9 people (including 7 teenagers) and they had a great time. We stayed a total of 6 days in Costa Rica and half the time was spent here, and the other half at the beach. We thought for sure the kids would love the beach house better, but as we have talked about the great time we had, they loved this mountain home just as much as the beach.

Randy recommended a great tour guide and some excellent adventures close to home. All of this made for an unforgettable adventure. We would definitely stay again and our teenagers can't stop talking about the amazing time they had in Costa Rica!

Thanks Randy!

Breathtaking views. Splendid home.

  • 5 of 5

This being my second trip to Costa Rica, having studied abroad there one summer, I was unaware that this trip would be more thrilling, more relaxing and even more authentic than I imagined.

Taking a rough, yet typical road of Costa Rica to the house, I was taken aback by the tropical mountain oasis. The house is in a most perfect location with picturesque views of terrain that starts in the mountains, runs through the rainforests and stretches to the ocean.

The clean and kept house itself is large with everything one needs: comfortable furniture, modern appliances and the perfect outdoor area complete with grill and pool. Waking up to the sunrise with the pleasant natural lighting in the home versus using the curtains started the day out right.

My sister did yoga amongst the tropical flowering bushes. We ate fresh fruit picked from the garden. Quiet morning walks to the front gate reminded me of the benefits of such seclusion. Toucans, macaws, monkeys, iguanas, butterflies and more visited the house daily, which is priceless.

Oscar assisted us with airport transfer among other things. Between him and the double gates, one felt extremely secure.

We took time to relax at the home, but adventured out in the provided Toyota SUV. Thrills included a zip line tour SO close to the home, the crocodile tour north of Jaco and the most thrilling of all, the nearby waterfalls.

Beach time was a must, so we visited Manuel Antonio, but my favorite was nearby Playa Esterillos, which was an almost private beach that day.

This house gave me a taste of the luxury of a resort and a central location to play tourist, but with the unbeatable seclusion and views, coupled with the genuine experiences of a Spanish-speaking oasis.

What you make of the trip is yours, and mine was once in a lifetime.

Wedding at Casa Brisas de la Montaña

  • 5 of 5

Casa Brisas de la Montaña

When we decided to get married, we thought of celebrating our union in at unique and magical place, that would fill all our needs and our relatives too, that is why we chose Casa Brisas de la Montaña, a place that makes you feel at home and at Paradise at the same time, with an spectacular view and where you can see incredible sunsets, listen to the different species of birds especially toucans, scarlet macaws, squirrel and white face monkeys that are so friendly that they pose near the house, to celebrate our ceremony at Casa Brisas de la Montaña was a complete dream come true, and no doubt a meeting point for our families from now on.

Many thanks to Randy, Claudia, Oscar and Magaly for putting their dedication to our stay.

Beautiful Home with Spectacular View

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children ages 18, 15, and 12) enjoyed our stay at Casa Brisas. For our family, this property was a perfect fit. My family had never been to Costa Rica and Randy was super responsive to my emails before and after we booked his house. I had lots of questions and he always responded quickly with answers, suggestions, etc to help make our trip exactly how we wanted it to be. He was not on property during our stay but was still available to recommend activities and help when I was having difficulty getting in touch with a tour guide. And Randy does have lots of good recommendations; we enjoyed our tour with Mauricio, a wonderful sailing trip with Sunset Sails out of Quepos and visiting many area beaches as well as many of his restaurant recommendations.

We felt completely safe at the house and were able to relax and enjoy when we were there. The kitchen is very well stocked and perfect for cooking if you want to make some of your own meals. Oscar is available if you need him and incredibly helpful and earnest in trying to make your stay enjoyable. He checked in on us regularly when we were outside (without being intrusive). My family does not speak Spanish well but we did our best and improved a lot as the trip went on which helped and we enjoyed practicing our language skills.

The views at the house are spectacular and we saw lots of wildlife on the mountain. My 12 year old woke up early every morning to watch and photograph the many toucans, monkeys (both squirrel and white-headed capuchin) and other birds.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the drive to the house takes about 25 minutes from the town of Parrita and may take some getting used to. For us, it was part of the adventure and it only took about 1 day to get used to the length of the drive. We did rent a 4-wheel drive vehicle for the length of our 10 day stay and we never found it too challenging on the roads even in the rain. It just required some advanced planning because we would leave every morning for our days adventures and then return around sunset. Honestly, the roads in Costa Rica were better than we anticipated because of everything we had read. And of course, unless you are willing to drive to a higher elevation, you’re not going to get the kind of view we had. Thank you to Randy, Oscar and Magally for a great vacation!
