Views awesome and such tranquility!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the chalet so very much. The furnishings are very nice, it was very clean, and has plenty of room with the two balconies. But these are nothing compared to the AWESOME views. You feel so free from all stress. We definitely be going back to this chalet in the future. Our host was great to work with and was very kind and attentive to our needs. Thank you Dave for the opportunity to enjoy your home as much as you have. Jennie

Great views, great place, great location, and great owner! The pictures do not do justice to the size of the cabin and to the mountain views. The location is close to the Gatlinburg and to great hikes. The cabin has 2 super comfortable king beds upstairs (one is a loft) and a queen with a master bath on the main floor. It is located on a cul-de-sac in a small neighborhood with a community pool. We will be back!

Amazing Views!

  • 5 of 5

The location of The Yellow Chalet is what makes it very, very desirable! You are on top of a mountain from where you can see for miles and miles. During the day, you can see peaks all around you and at night you can see the city veins all lit-up--simply breathtaking! The property is spacious, comfortable, clean, and well balanced. We didn't need to bring much with us at all since the property had almost everything you'd need for your stay! We wanted to be secluded from the town and this property was TRULY secluded. The owner is just too sweet and considerate! He called us to make sure everything was okay with us, if we needed anything else, if we had any complaints, as well as suggested a number of attractions to go visit--he just wanted us to have a great time and we did! I have rented a few places in Gatlinburg in the past and never had such a caring and attentive owner before. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to be on the top and enjoy a comfortable place for their vacation.

Everything about this location and it's description was accurate. The directions perfect.

The property was clean and well maintained. The owner made you feel like he has known you for a long time. He is so kind! (rare these days)

I really don't think that the pictures or description can even come close to actually seeing the beauty.

Everything is within 10min or so and yet it is quiet and private.

We will be back very soon.

Breath Taking

  • 5 of 5

The Yellow Chalet was awesome in so many ways! The views, the wildlife, the peace and quiet. The views were out of this world, you can see for miles and miles. You can see Douglas Lake from the deck. The pool was right out your front door and across the driveway. The chalet itself roomy, clean, beautifully furnished and the beds sleep so good. Nice big bathrooms and you have washer & dryer right there to do the laundry. The road is a mountain road but its worth every trip in and out . Was there for a week and the trips seem to get better. When you can stop and see the bear or walk out on your deck and see bear its awesome. Makes you thank God for the beautiful blessings he has bestowed upon us. If you want and like nature please go for this property . The owner, David was so very helpful

and got back to me right away rather by text or email and even phone calls. Can't say enough about this property or the owner !!!

Breathtaking panaramic mountain view!

  • 5 of 5

This pretty 3 bedroom, 2 bath Chalet on a cul-de-sac with a shared swimming pool across from it has an amazing panaramic view of the mountains and Gatlinburg below!

We watched Dollywood's fireworks from afar above the city on our first night there, and the city lights at night are cool to look at also, but the mountain views are stunning!

I also watched a heat lightning display one evening that was awesome!

It is a climb to the top, but once you master it, it may take 9-10 minutes going up and about 8 or 9 to come down (I found 2nd gear to be very helpful for both!). The road is windy but better than others since it is above some main attractions, and even my daughter that is afraid of driving on mountains mastered it both day and night.

You're close to the Gatlinburg bypass, so easy to get through to Pigeon Forge, or you're in Gatlinburg within probably about 12 minutes.

The main entrance to the Smokies is also at the foot of the hill as well as the scenic drive to Cades Cove.

This also looks like it would be a great place for someone that may be elderly.

There's a main floor bedroom and bathroom, and the bathroom has a seat and hand shower as well as a regular shower.

There isn't a HotTub but there's a large jacuzzi bath in an open area between two bedrooms upstairs.

There's also a small game table next to it that might entertain some children.

The one small downfall (for now?)in my opinion is that there isn't wifi available, but that could be a good thing!

The super nice owner responds to every question in a reasonable time.

We had a couple of questions early on that we'd asked through texting and he always got back with us with an answer.

Highly recommended!
