We had an amazing time at this property. All the instructions were extremely organized and easy to follow. The home is beautiful and meticulously maintained. I will say that if you are traveling with anyone elderly or with issues climbing stairs there are four levels to the home with three different flights of stairs. Two of the flights are quite steep/small and could be tricky if you have ailments. However, it worked great for us! Also, note that two of the rooms are on the "garden level" which essentially means they are slightly underground. They are gorgeous and didn't pose a problem for us in anyway, but thought it was worth mentioning here. We are super happy with our stay!
Beautiful house in a perfect location!
It is nearly impossible to tell that this house is over 200 years old.! The renovations are wonderful and the perfect location of this house make it an ideal location for a your visit to Savannah.
Wonderful house, great location and amenities. Highly recommend.
Wonderful house in a perfect location!
My family and I loved staying in this beautiful house and the location simply could not be any better. The only thing I would mention is that it is not a place to stay if you have mobility issues as there are several steps up to the front door and the steps to get down to the garden level are steep and narrower than most steps today. Same with the from at the very top of the house, but all of this is covered in the home description and accurately presented. There is plenty of space for folks to spread out and have privacy, while also a big living room and dining table to spend time together. Kelly is very responsive to questions. Highly recommended. Note... if vegan or vegetarian, the Fox and Fig is a must do! We also enjoyed dinner at Vic’s on the River, reservations necessary.
Perfect girls weekend in Savannah
Live Oaks was perfect for our group of 7 ladies. The set-up of bedrooms and baths was spacious and functional. We especially liked relaxing on the deck and while we didn't use the kitchen to cook complete meals, we definitely appreciated being able to have breakfast items, snacks and cocktails at our own place. The location, too, was ideal. Within walking distance of so many delicious choices for meals. We used Lyft/Uber to get to and from the airport, to one tour at Bonaventure Cemetery, and to spend an afternoon at Tybee Island, otherwise we walked everywhere.
Exactly as advertised
Kelly’s home is both immaculate and well located. Everything was exactly as advertised. The rooms were comfortable and inviting. There were plenty of pots and pans, kitchen essentials, etc. to make fit a pleasant stay. We had no problem navigating to the third floor bedroom nor were we troubled that the person in the room with twin beds has to cross the other lower level bedrooom to reach the bathroom. Highly recommend this home.
Savannah is rich in History. It was spared during the Civil War by Sherman and was a "gift" to President Lincoln because of its unique beauty. The city is vibrant, yet historic with many options of places to see and activities to do. The Visitors' Center hosts many tour options and suggestions, as well as maps and lots of great information on activities suitable for a single person, couple or the whole family to do. Please access our Hospitality information, where we have compiled our favorite restaurants and "must sees".
