Hurricane Maria Update: The house survived Maria with only a little cosmetic damage. All repairs have been done and the house is in better shape than ever. Power is restored to the house. More importantly, we have installed solar power including 5.4 Kw of solar panels and two Tesla PowerWall II battery systems. The house runs off the solar system with the grid just as backup - reducing our carbon footprint. So please come support the island, its people and the many restaurants that have reopened. Vieques is a piece of paradise.

A Canadian who has traveled and lived around the world. Fell in love with Vieques and the Viequense people on his first visit there in 2003. Frequently use the house ourselves to relax, unwind and enjoy life. My teenage college-aged daughter loves being here and bringing her friends too!
Luke purchased this House in 2005
Why Luke chose Bravos de Boston
Bought the land in 2005 from the Editor of Architectural Digest who was going to build a waterfront studio on the land for her husband. Before buying the property, we sat on cinder blocks and had a bottle of champagne watching a beautiful sunset over the ocean - that convinced us to buy - as we could imagine doing the same on our future balcone. Took almost 5 years to design and build the property. We use it frequently ourselves. Completely unwinding on vacation in Vieques only takes hours! Come share our love for Casa Belle Vue and Vieques!
What makes this House unique
Some people buy wave machines to help them sleep. Casa Belle Vue is a million times better than a wave machine. The house and the ocean soothes your soul. Seconds to walk steps down to the water, a 3 minute walk to a local beach with a coral reef for snorkeling and a ten minute drive to the many Caribbean beaches in the National Wildlife Refuge. Vieques is what the Caribbean was like 50 years ago - a passage back in time - but with enough modern amenities (and no traffic lights).

Relax and unwind vacation
We totally enjoyed the house. We had the upstairs and our son & girlfriend had downstairs. The house looks exactly as it does in the photos. We enjoyed watching the ferry come in and just relaxing on the deck. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, we only cooked one night. It was so good we wish we were still there....
An elegant gem
This is a splendidly designed and maintained house with gorgeous views and everything one could need to fully enjoy what Vieques has to offer. From the master bedroom, deck or living room, we could watch the ferries make the journey from Fajardo, the fisherman bouncing over the waves at first light, pelicans fishing and surfers enjoying the swells, and endless stars at night. We listened to our playlists on the Bose speaker, dined in moonlight on the deck each night that we wanted to cook in and take advantage of the beautifully equipped kitchen, and fell asleep to the sound of the waves. The location is terrific: very private but with quick, easy access to restaurants and services in Isabel II and a short drive to the south shore beaches. As others have noted, Susan was amazing: helpful, informative, resourceful, and full of good ideas. Luke, the owner, is impressively responsive as is Susan so you have the information you need quickly and efficiently. All in all, a wonderful find.
Hi Carolyn and Ray - thank you for your kind words about Susan and CBV. And a special thanks for coming to Vieques and supporting the island when it needs it most after Hurricane Maria. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay on our island!!!!!
Amazing house! Amazing view!
We visited with our teen/young adult kids. They took the lower deck and we had the upper; it worked out perfectly! The pictures don't do justice--the house and that view were even more amazing than I was expecting. The house has everything you need but if you need to make a store run, it's only a few minutes away. I can't say enough wonderful things about Susan. She was so extremely helpful to us from the moment I booked until the day we left. I strongly recommend this house...we will be back again!
Thank you Stephanie for your very kind words; especially for Susan who always goes above and beyond to make a wonderful experience for our guests! We hope to see you back again. While many travelers think of the Caribbean just for winter vacations, I think you found out that summer in Vieques is as good as winter.
We greatly enjoyed our stay in Vieques. Susan was so helpful with anything that we needed. The house is beautiful and has most everything one needs to have a great beach vacation. The master bedroom has a gorgeous view, but no blinds, so if your vacation includes sleeping late that might be an issue. Otherwise it is a relaxing spot to enjoy the amazing beaches.
Thanks Robin. I'm glad you enjoyed CBV and Vieques. Vieques is truly a piece of paradise!!! I understand your comments about not having curtains in the master bedroom and apologies if that distracted from your stay. It is by design. Perhaps it isn't for everyone, but I love not having curtains when I'm there and can wake up to the outstanding views of the tropical ocean from bed; the views that you can see in our posted pictures. Equally amazing are the views when there are night time lightning storms over the ocean! I've talked with our many regular repeat guests, many who have become personal friends, who also love the absence of curtains. They have their total privacy in the bedroom because of the house's location but still have the views. We put curtains in the lower landings bedrooms only to provide privacy that can be needed downstairs as your fellow guests/family members leave or return to the house.
This house was beautiful. Everything you would need is in the house.
Susan and Luke were so helpful as we planned this trip. Susan met us at the car rental and led us to the house. Showed us around gave great tips as to where to buy food and when to shop at which store. Even left us a little welcome treat, which we enjoyed immensely. This house was pretty easy to access from town. We walked to town several times for breakfast, shopping and night life.
The property has beautiful ocean views
The house has everything you need to enjoy your time there. Susan provides a great deal of information to help you find your way around the island.
Located in a quiet residential neighborhood on the oceanfront, in close walking distance to town, shops, restaurants and bars. Adjacent to small beaches and snorkeling reefs, although the truly spectacular Caribbean beaches are a 10 minute drive away in the Vieques National Wildlife Refuge.
