Beautiful Cozy House on a Peninsula, 200 degrees sea views between 2 beaches
average rating of 5.0 based on 5 reviews

Amazing stay - nearly 360 view of Sea!

  • 5 of 5

I'm surprised this property does not have more reviews because it was truly one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The views of the sea are unmatched. The gardens and outdoor area are a dream - we loved the open air feel. The house is at the tip of the peninsula so you have complete privacy. Konstantinos was an incredible host - he provided food and wine upon arrival and assisted us with anything we needed and great information about the area. The house was very clean and nice linens and towels. Highly recommend!!

an amazing place on the water

  • 5 of 5

The surfer searches for the perfect wave. We, the perfect waters for swimming and the Augean is where we find it. The place we selected was chosen from the description and aerial photos from Goggle. We lucked out for this house fulfilled our expectations and more. We spent two very wonderful weeks and were sad to leave.

The house is in a gated community sensitively sited on a peninsula projecting into the sea. From time to time we were treated to formal and programmed regattas providing informal entertainment.

The site is private and secure. The lush informal plantings and the dramatic view provides a relaxed natural environment very much suited to our taste.

The friendly port of Porto Heli was close for dally shopping for staples and provided a pleasant contrast to the intimacy of our site. The best compliment is that we would gladly return. The two weeks we spent were delightful and fulfilling.

The extra perk was a side trip to the historic amphitheater of Epidaurus. AS it is on the way to Porto Heli we added a touch of history to the experience.

Awesome location with lovely accommodations!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I travel to Greece almost every year. We normally stay at high-end resorts located along the seaside. For our most recent trip, September 9th – 16th, 2015, we decided to try something different and we are sure glad that we did. First off, the location is spectacular and very private with extremely beautiful views of the sea from every direction. To access the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean you have a couple of choices, take a 1 minute walk from the backyard to an incredible beach or walk down some beautiful stone stairs that are also located in the backyard and dive right in. Either way you will be in sea heaven!

In terms of the home, it has everything you could possibly need with plenty of space, all modern appliances and includes high speed internet access. Also, it was beautifully clean and tidy! There is even a very nice guest house included in the package. Although we spent most of our time at the property in the large backyard gazing out at the sea and at the two islands located nearby, Spetses and Hydra, the home is very comfortable and well appointed.

The owner of the property, Konstantinos, speaks perfect English, among other languages, and warmly welcomed us at the property. Everything went without a hitch and we are definitely going to return to this property. There are plenty of nice places to visit in the area such as the seaport of Porto Heli or Hinista Bay. You can even take a water taxi to the island of Spetses, 10 minutes or island of Hydra, 45 minutes. Both islands are very beautiful and definitely a worthwhile excursion.

This area of Greece is easily accessible from Athens and was only a 2 hour drive from the center of Athens. We highly recommend this property for those of you who are interested in a dream Greek location.

Maison très bien située, vue admirable, propriétaire très sumpa.

  • 5 of 5

Owner's Response: Working with people who plan their vacation is a great job! Travelers look at the pictures and portray themselves sitting at this "Veranda on to the Aegean" which is quite literally what it says it is, when you get there i show you the house and a few things provided, some locally produced goods, bought on the Peloponnese, on my way from Athens and i leave you to enjoy, you strip yourself of your social envelope of clothes and now, in your bathing suit, smelling the sea breeze which caresses your skin while the sun pleasantly warms you, you stare out, onto the ever changing, glittering seascape, maybe with a chilled glass of wine in hand and you plan your next move, for a swim go left or go right? ah! what a dilemma!

Agios Aimilianos church is located 150m away, it is the easiest short walk from the house which will give a good sense of the area's feeling and where a bouts. It is built on an elevated spot offering beautiful views of the sea and several islands can be seen from there. The area is great for walking, on every little turn scenic images fill the viewer's eyes.

The spot is ideal for snorkelling either to left towards Agios Aimilianos cape, a 20min relaxed swim, or to the right, across to the tiny dare i call it, island of Repouli, a 10min swim.

In town one should definitely visit the local potter's studio, Sideris Makis has a long history of creating utilitarian tableware and not only, never seizing to search for a new theme inspired from Greek nature which he develops during the year, ever-changing.

There are many choices regarding dining.

The AKS Hotel's buffet is always an easy and quality wise good choice,

but in order to sip in the old Greece aroma i would suggest a small tavern, The Morias, a simple family run restaurant which locals prefer with good quality and very reasonable prices.

For fresh bread Karagianis bakery at the entrance of the town just before reaching the roundabout or funkier Drougas bakery at the port, they both make great ice coffee, fredo espresso, great against the summer heat, a must try.

For bars either the one after the roundabout to the right as one enters the port or the AKS Hotel bar or just take a stroll from the roundabout up to the end of the port and discover all the town..

There is an open air cinema which is great, there is nothing better than a movie with a cold bear in hand under the night sky, be sure to wear mosquito repellent though!

If you decide to cross over to Spetses Island and you are not in a hurry take the communal water taxi ("kaiki") at 2 or 3 euros per person, otherwise pay a 20euro or more fee for a personal taxi, 15 or 5 min crossing respectively.

To visit the island of Hydra one can take the Regular line ferry from Porto Heli port or find local line organising daily cruises or drive up to Porto Hydra Hotel, a bit further from Ermioni village, half an hour away from Porto Heli. Both are great destinations to discover.

For quality culture experiences, during the summer months, one should watch for the Athens International Festival hosting shows, sometimes even from foreign troupes, at the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, about 1 hour drive from Porto Heli, a one off experience in the land that created the most important theatrical plays before Sexpear.

On the way driving about half way there, after old Epidaurus, at Koliaki village "i vrissi tou Daveli" restaurant is a great stop at for lunch or to buy local products.

Scenic views will fill the travellers eyes from the moment he or she will leave the Athens international Airport to drive towards the Eastern Argolid peninsula towards Porto Heli, starting from the Korinth canal with mountain scapes interchanging with seaside scapes.

It is under this unique light of the Greek land that the forms of nature triggered the human senses and the imagination to come up with all those myths that the Ancient Greeks wrote.

It is this strong, clear and unforgiving light that animates natures forms is in itself pure inspiration.
