This Farmhouse was built nearby and lifted onto it's foundation by field workers. The property was once home to Speaker of the House Thomas Hunter Lowe. Jane Lowe Estate Farmhouse has been restored and ready to be shared. You sleep, eat and relax feet from Harris Creek. We can't wait for you to participate in a slice of true relaxation. Rain or shine there are many things to do.
JANE LOWE ESTATE, SURROUNDED BY FARM LAND AND WATER, INCLUDES A EXPANSIVE POOL, DOCK, BEACH, FARM HOUSE AND RENOVATED BARN WHICH is available for rental.
The Farmhouse has all new appliances and the charming setting by the bay. Feel free to fish for perch or rock fish right from the property. The master suite and living room have flat screen tv's with DISH SATELLITE, AND WI-FI. Downtown St. Michael's and all of it's attractions are very close. If you need help with recommendations or things to do feel free to ask. The pool is naturally warm due to the proximity to the water.
We have been visitors and renters for the past few years and fully understand what you expect. This is a special ESTATE and we would be honored to play host!
My sister and I purchased these two adjacent properties that were once owned by a single family. We have put our blood, sweat and tears into the restoration and want to share what we consider a special place.
Ryan Perlberg purchased this farmhouse in 2015
This property was going to be torn down with a mansion in its place and we didn't love the idea of that. There is rich history and you will never want to leave. One sunset is all it takes.
There is a water view from almost every room. The property was well built and we find ourselves spending much of our time relaxing with family outside on the grounds.
Great respite away from the bustle of the city. Tranquil setting with amazing views and even more amazing moon lit views by the docks.
We loved everything about our stay at this property and would return in a heartbeat. We so enjoyed the quirky old farm-house (sweetly and helpfully appointed throughout) and loved waking up to stunning views through the large master bedroom out onto morning skies over Harris Creek.
The gardens around the property were so gorgeous and it was soothing to be near the water. We took full advantage of the kayaks and could feel our stresses and strains melt away as we paddled around Harris Creek watching the wildlife and taking in the sounds of nature.
The huge windowed porch on the back of the house was a great place to laze around in the afternoon with a book. We loved eating breakfast in the big kitchen and coming home after (GREAT!) dinners in St. Michael's to 'our' "long-weekend hideaway" to watch the sun set over the water from the big beautiful dock.
This place is a real treasure!
Ryan was incredibly responsive and helpful - had great suggestions for us before and throughout our visit. Truly a first-rate host.
We are hoping to return in late summer when the dog days of August get unbearable around DC so we can kayak again, savor the pool, and refresh our souls with still more sunset views on the cherished waters of the Eastern Shore from this lovely property.
We had such a wonderful stay at this house. It's at the end of a rural road so very quiet and peaceful. Our party consisted of 3 kids and 4 adults and the house was plenty big enough. Our favourite part was sitting around the fire pit and watching the sun set over the water. Truly breathtaking. The kids loved the kayaks provided too. Ryan was extremely responsive and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The wine and local goodies provided on arrival were a lovely touch. Would definately recommend this house for a quiet getaway with family!
We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful home and location! The kitchen was perfect for cooking as a group, and the outdoors can't be beat. We brought our pups along and they had a great time exploring and enjoying the outdoors. Ryan was a wonderful host and answered all our questions promptly and accurately. St. Michael's is so close for a quick day trip but there's really no need to leave the property either because everything is taken care of! We can't wait to return!
We stayed for a long Thanksgiving weekend with 6 adult family members. The house is very nicely laid out and the kitchen was great for just hanging out at the large table especially with the fireplace. Water views are outstanding. I would imagine that summer would be great with the gigantic swimming pool. Ryan was very responsive and kindly had a bottle of St Michaels wine and some Maryland themed snacks awaiting us when we arrived.
This was the perfect get away, and Ryan was fabulous to work with. Our pups enjoyed it as much as we did! The seclusion and proximity to the water was ideal. The beach access and floating dock made for a really nice place to launch the kayaks that are on the property. The views are fabulous as well! Can't wait to come back in the summer to use the pool!
We are looking forward to coming back soon!
My husband and I came from CA to spend a few days with our daughter and family from MA. Our two grandsons (8 & 3) had a great time fishing, crabbing, playing football and running around the large yard. The kitchen was well equipped and we spent a lot of time at the large table eating and playing games. The library is filled with old and interesting books which we all enjoyed. The whole experience was like visiting a museum without the "Do Not Touch" signs!
