Overview

About the property

The most relaxing and enjoyable vacation without the pretension.

This Farmhouse was built nearby and lifted onto it's foundation by field workers. The property was once home to Speaker of the House Thomas Hunter Lowe. Jane Lowe Estate Farmhouse has been restored and ready to be shared. You sleep, eat and relax feet from Harris Creek. We can't wait for you to participate in a slice of true relaxation. Rain or shine there are many things to do.

JANE LOWE ESTATE, SURROUNDED BY FARM LAND AND WATER, INCLUDES A EXPANSIVE POOL, DOCK, BEACH, FARM HOUSE AND RENOVATED BARN WHICH is available for rental.

The Farmhouse has all new appliances and the charming setting by the bay. Feel free to fish for perch or rock fish right from the property. The master suite and living room have flat screen tv's with DISH SATELLITE, AND WI-FI. Downtown St. Michael's and all of it's attractions are very close. If you need help with recommendations or things to do feel free to ask. The pool is naturally warm due to the proximity to the water.

We have been visitors and renters for the past few years and fully understand what you expect. This is a special ESTATE and we would be honored to play host!

About Ryan Perlberg

My sister and I purchased these two adjacent properties that were once owned by a single family. We have put our blood, sweat and tears into the restoration and want to share what we consider a special place.

Ryan Perlberg purchased this farmhouse in 2015

Why Ryan Perlberg chose Chesapeake Bay

This property was going to be torn down with a mansion in its place and we didn't love the idea of that. There is rich history and you will never want to leave. One sunset is all it takes.

What makes this farmhouse unique

There is a water view from almost every room. The property was well built and we find ourselves spending much of our time relaxing with family outside on the grounds.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had the most fantastic stay at the Wittman Farmhouse. The place was clean. The pool was wonderfully refreshing! The property was a paradise away from home (but not too far). Ryan was super duper friendly. I would recommend this to ALL! LOVED IT.

Great getaway from it all

 • 5 of 5

My husband and two children (ages 3 and 5) just stayed in this house for 4 nights and loved it. It is not a far drive to St. Michaels or Tilghman but has an amazing feeling of remoteness, beauty, and escape from it all. The house is adorable and filled with amazing and interesting items that you can get lost in- the outdoor amenities are incredible, with something for everyone. Ryan is a most hospitable host, with an awesome greeting basket, quick responses to questions, and a really nice personality. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Great Sisters Getaway

 • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our sister's weekend. It is nicely decorated, comfortable, and well-equipped. We enjoyed the gorgeous water view, kayaks, pool, in-home massages with Tammy, and in-home yoga with Cavin.

The property is very charming with a lot of character.

 • 5 of 5

There were 6 of us, three adults and three kids.

All had an absolutely fabulous time!

The property is very beautiful, peaceful, away from the noise and with so many comfortable spots to relax and enjoy!

Tha house is a fairy tale cottage with modern amenities that do not disturb its charm.

Ryan is very helpful and always gets back to you within minutes.

We loved it!

Incredible family weekend!

 • 5 of 5

This property exceeded our expectations. The home itself has everything you could think of, was clean, and is incredibly charming; but the star of the show is definitely the property. The pool (where we taught our son to swim) the bay where we went kayaking and our pup swam the day away, the private grounds, and the farmhouse gardens and outdoor seating areas were the icing on the cake. If you're on the fence about this rental I urge you to give it a shot. We plan on making this home a summer staple for our family. Looking forward to making many more memories at this beautiful home!! 😊?

Sublimely restful property

 • 5 of 5

We loved everything about our stay at this property and would return in a heartbeat. We so enjoyed the quirky old farm-house (sweetly and helpfully appointed throughout) and loved waking up to stunning views through the large master bedroom out onto morning skies over Harris Creek.

The gardens around the property were so gorgeous and it was soothing to be near the water. We took full advantage of the kayaks and could feel our stresses and strains melt away as we paddled around Harris Creek watching the wildlife and taking in the sounds of nature.

The huge windowed porch on the back of the house was a great place to laze around in the afternoon with a book. We loved eating breakfast in the big kitchen and coming home after (GREAT!) dinners in St. Michael's to 'our' "long-weekend hideaway" to watch the sun set over the water from the big beautiful dock.

This place is a real treasure!

Ryan was incredibly responsive and helpful - had great suggestions for us before and throughout our visit. Truly a first-rate host.

We are hoping to return in late summer when the dog days of August get unbearable around DC so we can kayak again, savor the pool, and refresh our souls with still more sunset views on the cherished waters of the Eastern Shore from this lovely property.
