Great stay with plenty to do when you get bored of relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of three (plus dog) had a fun and comfortable stay mid-August. Dmitry the owner met us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour of the property and answered any questions we had, which we really appreciated. The cottage is situated on a large private lot, with plenty of activities to keep busy - a soccer net, trampoline, fire pit with plenty of seating and even a play set for younger kids. We made use of the kayak and canoe for exploring the quiet river. The river is good for swimming off the dock - not too weedy and not many boats at all, at least during the week we stayed. There are biking trails not far at all from the access road which was perfect for checking out the close by towns. Cottage kitchen had almost everything we needed (one rainy night we made pizza and didn't have a pan for that, but all else was available), coffee maker, toaster, microwave, etc. Will definitely be back next year!

Beautiful spot for a couple

  • 4 of 5

We went for a three night four day trip.

The road to get to it is thin (only one lane wide, and barely), but beautiful, really makes you feel like you are escaping the business of life.

The cottage is a small space, perfect for a couple, or family with young kids.

Its connected by a deck to the owner's cottage.,

We had access to a canoe, kayak, bbq, and dock. The space is perfect for a getaway.

Its very private, very quiet, very nice, especially for the price.

Highly recommend if you are looking for a solid cottage experience, Im sure there are nicer/fancier places out there, but this was was a fantastic find, we're already looking at going back either this summer or next!

Great for privacy

  • 4 of 5

This was a lovely spot to stay for a fall getaway, it was very quiet and private, as the other building on the property was vacant. It was super for canoeing, and the bike trail provided an easy ride into Fenelon Falls. We saw a painted turtle while out on the canoe, and a heron while on the bike trail. Fantastic! The outdoor space was generous, and lots to do, but bring a ball if you want to make use of the soccer nets, and the trampoline was a real bonus.

The town is small, but has an interesting assortment of businesses, including a grocery store, bargains store, and antiques and collectibles. The ice cream parlour didn't seem to be open for the fall weekday business, but we were able to purchase Kawartha ice cream in tubs at the grocery store.

It has an ok equipped kitchen, but was lacking in some basics like oven mitts, flat trays for heating in the oven, and utensils to make omelette making easy. And it would have been nice to have wine glasses for enjoying our wine. The coffee cups and glasses were also on the small side. And there is no salt and pepper provided, so be sure to bring your own. However, it is new construction, and I expect that as time goes by these things will get sorted out, and overall are minor inconveniences.

Overall we had a great time, and I would definitely recommend this property, the owner answered emails promptly, and it is obvious that care has been taken of this property.

Lovely clean cottage, lots of privacy

  • 4 of 5

Lots to do here and we enjoyed swimming, canoeing, kayaking and long walks on the trail to Fenalon Falls.

This was our first time in a cottage on a river and it was different but in a good way. Very quiet on the water and few speed boats at all. Great place to swim!

Thanks, Dmitry!

beautiful cottage

  • 5 of 5

We spent two days and relaxing weekend here and will definitely be coming back as soon as possible!

The cottage is so beautiful in a great location very easy to find and accessible in almost 2 hours distance from Toronto. Mr. Dmitry was very welcoming and easy to communicate with and he provided every required information and map on paper which was so useful.

Here is suitable for staying 5 people very comfortable and also with a fully equipped kitchen (which is amazing!) and everything else you need for a comfortable stay. And lovely door front to an amazing river that was dermally to start each morning!

There's a lovely fireplace inside and nice furnished and beautiful interior designed and beautiful hardwood flooring. And so clean. The water access is good and hot water is available also.

The huge Muscoda chairs overlooking the water and pit fire front of dock expecting guests!

Kayak experience was so good in river and we really enjoyed from that part!

We are looking forward to back there!!

Highly recommended everyone!!
