Pantry items available include salt and pepper, cooking oil, flour, and sugar. There is also an assortment of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available. The bedroom features a queen bed, and the couch also pulls out to a queen bed to sleep a total of 4 people.
Our family has owned this cabin for just over 10 years. We purchased it unfinished and have done all the work ourselves to finish it. We've added several custom details including reclaimed barn wood, a custom-built bed and bathroom sink, and much more. Since we aren't able to use it as much as we like, we'd like to share it with other families wanting to enjoy the area.
Rachel Runner purchased this cabin in 2004
We chose this property for the views, secluded area, and ease of access to a variety of activities. While there are a few neighbors around, the area is very quiet. In addition, we love being close to great skiing at Wolf Creek in the winter and to the National Forest and Rio Grande for summer activities.
Enjoyed preparing meals in the cabin and appreciated a well stocked kitchen. Cooking oil, S & P, napkins, oven, coffee, etc. were great! Quality time together as a family in a cozy cabin was nice.
We had such a wonderful time in this sweet cabin during a late spring ski trip to Wolf Creek. Perfect cabin for two or a small family. We have rented many places through VRBO but this cabin takes the cake! The owners have really made this cabin welcoming and cozy, you will want for nothing during your stay, except maybe a few extra nights! The views were breathtaking, and the neighbor dog who came to visit each evening was so sweet! We hope we are blessed next year with a chance to return to this rental!
Cute, cozy and well kept cabin. Great views and lots of deer to see. We loved the added on porch!
We rented for a week to snow ski and it was perfect for our needs. The only minor suggestion I have would be to add a bunch of hooks so there are plenty of places to hang up coats and gear. Thanks for sharing your home. Beautiful place!
This little cabin is a perfect Colorado getaway, it's small, cozy, quiet, and has an incredible view and great deck.
The owner has done a great job making sure you have everything you need while you are there. Towels, blankets, coffee, hairdryer, cooking supplies, movies, games, and a guide on the area/cabin.
The place was clean and ready for us when we arrived and the owner was very kind and responsive.
We loved seeing tracks in the snow from all the wildlife around. We can't wait to come back!
The Cabin is super cute and very well stocked. We appreciated the popcorn and herbal tea! It is small, but for 2 people not bad at all. It is very private and quiet and has an awesome lighted deck. We enjoyed several DVD'S with the electric fireplace going...so nice to be able to just turn it on. Rachel was fantastic and promptly answered every question I had. She was also very accommodating and worked to make our stay comfortable and convenient! We rent lots of places through vrbo and this one was definitely at the top...much thanks to Rachel!
This house was perfect. The description was accurate and the pictures present it very well. The Cabin is a perfect size for 2 people. Did not feel crowded whatsoever. Would recommend possibly putting a mattress in the upper part above the bedroom to accommodate even more people. The deck is a great addition. The wife and I spent a good amount of time enjoying the views. As others have said, the neighbors dog would come over and hang out...definitely think people are feeding him based on his behavior. He was very friendly though and did not act aggressive. For those of you hesitant to pull the trigger on this place, the price point is perfect, and the location is even better. The drives to Creede, Lake City, and Pagosa Springs were very easy, quick drives. We ate at Boogie's in Del Norte. Highly recommend it! Great food and people. They even had live music.
Again, my wife and I would highly recommend this place ( so much so that we are seriously interested in the property for sale directly across from this cabin). Only recommendation to the owner would be that the grill could use a cleaning.
